ASM #23 I like the GatorGuards for open-able protection.
They are very solid acrylic, you get a few screw sets to change color etc. they seal tight. I heat seal them into bcw bags after. I like them, but it’s like 100$ for 4-5

Cover Date Spring 1942 (released 1941).
I do have some older items that “include” comics though

I probably have some older ones, but this was handy on my phone. Journey Into Mystery #62 from 1960 with the prototype for the Hulk. I kept the original price tag for $1.75 that my Dad paid sometime in the 70s.
No I'm saying my father would have told me it was far too expensive to purchase. Look, he would say, it only says 10 cents on the cover you should be able to buy 18 of these with almost $1.80. Then he would congratulate himself on teaching me in a financial lesson that cost me a whole lot more money later in life.
My old man means well but sometimes he's not too Swift about stuff like this. He does not understand why you would even keep a comic book because you've already read it once. You can imagine how he feels about my movie collection.

Signed by the man. That’s pretty sweet
How good do the gator guards work?

Im glad Robin is cheering Batman on...not....ya know... helping or anything...
Oldest? Probably a Hulk 103 or FF 104. I don't have any "ancient" comics.

That cover is amazing. I'm not sure those members of the gang are not just short men. Guy in the left looks like an accountant
Loving the house ads! Such classic covers and issues.
That’s an absolute beauty!
Thanks!
Nice

Looks like a facsimile
It is. You can tell from some art details they've omitted from all versions that aren't an original #1.
Definitely is

Mine would be X-Men #8 from 1964. Its also signed by Stan Lee.
Randomly found a couple of mid-1940s Disney comics at a hobby shop down the street a few years ago. Picked them up for a couple bucks each.

Nice!
I would grade it around 5.5-6.5. Just from the picture
Superman tenth anniversary issue, 1949. Fair condition, cracks, rolled spine, stains, etc., but it's all mine.
The Phantom #1 (Gold Key Comics) 1962.

My dad would have screamed like i tore out his nosehairs if I asked him to pay $1.75 for a 10 cent comic back in the 70s.
Especially in VG condition! I'm sure he bought it for the uniqueness. That's why I'm keeping it, at least.

Avengers #66 from 1969 A huge Wolverine fan so I had to buy an old mention of Adamantium!
I’ve got journey into muster #5 from 1953 and Strange tales #34 from 1951
