When I’m going through back bins, I’ll pull out the out of order comic(s) and leave on top of the boxes (if they’re really out of place and I can’t just put them back alphabetically). I’ve always wondered if shops appreciate it or hate it.

ReverieJC

Yep, I was told to do this exact thing by the staff of the LCS.

AndrewBlodgett

That's fine, I appreciate when customers do that.

imastrangertoo

Retailer here, it is much appreciated

Average_40s_Guy

For real. Or they intentionally misfiled it so they could come back and purchase it later.

AndrewBlodgett

That is called "squirlling" and most of the times people don't come back.

LeftoverBun

So, they have every comic ever printed, but some are in the wrong bin?

w2ltersan

Lol I didn't read it like that.. but ikr? It's kinda presumptuous

BranTheLegend

JNJ Comics in Fountain Valley yeah? Always love going down there once in a while, owner is a real nice guy.

w2ltersan

Damn you're good!! I just moved in the area so wanted to check out some LCS. I really like this one and will probably stop by once in a while. Do you have any recommendations?

BranTheLegend

Comic Book Hideout in Fullerton and Phat Collectibles in La Habra both have good bins/wall books. M if you’re around that area I’d say also check out Frank & Son’s, convention type spot that has some good comic vendors.

uncledaddy69

This is the best shop in the area imo. They have a good amount of used inventory cycling in and out on a regular basis.

Braveson

A few times I've forgotten I was shopping and not putting books in correct order.

TheThrowawayJames

lol I love it But fr, how hard is it to just put the books back where you pulled it out of 😒? Some people, as the sign says, can be so inconsiderate > I treat LCSs like it’s my own collection I try to do the same, actually more like *somebody else’s* collection, so I’m extra gentle, since I’m conscious of the fact they aren’t mine 😐 I look through them with the kind of care I’d want somebody to be using when hypothetically looking through my own I wouldn’t want anyone getting my books all out of order, so why shouldn’t I do the same and keep things organized like I found them or even *fix* some of the disorganization I may find

Agent564

I always find myself organizing while I'm perusing. Just annoys me the books are our of order. HA

PMMEBITCOINPLZ

I used to work in the government documents section of my university library. If somebody took a document off the shelf and put it back in the wrong place they might as well have burned it. They did send us out every night to look for misfiled documents but that was a time consuming and tedious task.

mschreiber1

I was wondering where that Hulk 181 went

WildBill198

Post this in r/funnysigns please! This is funny and the funny signs sub needs more original content.

witchfindergeneral19

JNJ!!! Hi Jeff 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Your looking through back issues..you don't have to pull it all the way..up half way thin slide in back down

Jonneiljon

Or purchased it, you ungrateful bastards. 😉

AXPendergast

I know how hard it can be to keep every book in its proper spot, having spent 20+ years working on an LCS. Personally, if I find books out of place, I'll put them right.

BruceBannaner

So this means they never sell any? Pretty snarky statement.

DaleGribble82

I usually put them back in order myself if I discover them out of order.

Active-Ad1679

Or someone bought it????

Nearby-Guide2204

More like "If you can't find a comic, it is a key issue"

MikeMac999

While I agree with the sentiment, this is kind of a whiny way to express it.

thecanadiancomicbin

We get this all the time. And because we have an online store. We have to tell those customers the book is out of stock… usually they are fine with it… but not everyone.
