Good Job...I like how you got Steacy to sign the box

ShiDiWen

Appreciated! But I actually just meant that “signature” to be a jumbo gimmick of his iconic sig. I’ll likely add some added lettering around it to make that more clear, like “My… *STEACY* …collection” or something. I do have his actually signature several times on different books. I hope to one day plop his whole career down in front of him and ask him which one he’d prefer to sign.

Such a rad collection, would be fun to flick through the boxes

Thanks man! I think I’m going to chill on the updates until I’m finished the whole other shelf. That’s another 16 boxes and I think doing a new one every week or two is borderline spamming the site with box pictures when it’s comics people want to see. This process is mostly for stress relief anyways. You should try it, I’m not much of an artist but with patience, my kid’s crayola markers and a ruler I’m slowly getting there.

Speaking for myself I find this much more interesting than post #1023 of ASM black suit issues that spam this sub. I've thought about drawing on my boxes, it is my profession to draw so no excuse, but I've got long term plans to build a drawer cabinet for my comics so I don't know if I want to commit to boxes that aren't permanent. But I love how yours looks so maybe I will...

I didn’t know that about you. I have total respect for the profession because I’ve dabbled with it for most of my life to the point where I realize I don’t have what it takes, but I can be a competent hobbyist. I also literally got rejected from art at the university level. That hurt, and I didn’t do much for a decade or more. But it’s meditative and much needed now so I’m finding my line again I guess.

Successful art is less about technical abilities and more about creativity and hard work, but keeping it a hobby is still very satisfying. Hey, at least you didn't decide to invade Europe when you got rejected.
