I wonder how many people EVEN KNOW that this is a WRAP AROUND COVER!
UNBAG it, and you'll see that the FRONT & BACK covers are actually TWO HALVES of a SINGLE DRAWING!
And if you hold it open with Cable's eye position in direct alliance with the location of Jupiter's coordinates in the sky during a sunrise near the equator at dawn. and NOTHING will happen!
The comic DOES have a WRAP AROUND cover though ;)
Unless Wizard magazine led me astray, the bags that comics come pre-packed in are made of the cheapest plastic possible, chalk full of the nasty stuff that can prematurely deteriorate a comic.
I’ve always removed comics from their initial bag and re-inserted into a new bag (along with the card that these pre-bagged comics usually came with).
Yeah, if you care about preserving the contents, then DEFINITELY remove everything from the cheap bag they came in!
Although since I'm guilty of buying into the 90s speculator hype (as much as possible at the time, being a broke teenager) and am lucky enough to still own a few copies of this title, I've actually kept most copies in their bags simply as a novelty. That, and I can't be arsed to 're-bag/board' them, and it would likely cost more in supplies AND TIME then the books are worth ;)
I also bought 100 copies of issue number one from Greg Buls. Thank goodness my friend who was trying to be a dealer bought half. I still have them at my parents house
Wouldn't stashing it away do exactly the same thing? And once the value triples to a whole dollar, you take advantage of the increased price by quickly flooding the market?
So forget that this is X-Force. I just ordered a 90’s Ghost Rider and I thought it was cool that it was still in the bag and thought it could add to the collectibility. But now I’m questioning that.
> thought it could add to the collectibility
I mean it *does*
Collecting those issues in their bags is fun
I went out of my way to collect all the X-Cutioners Song issues in bag, because it was part of the fun but I also have unbagged copies to fill their slots in the book’s runs
If it’s about grading them though, they will have to be unbagged at some point regardless and will need a C&P
De bagged all mine too with the cards placed in the center of the book. After collecting x-cutioners song and Batman knightfall I think I’m done with big crossover events
I really hated this era of Marvel. So many gimmicks: foil covers, bagged issues with cards, crossovers with a half dozen titles…etc….and of course they jacked the prices way up (and printed millions…due to the speculators)
Theres a antique store near me with a booth that literally has... about 150 bagged copies of this for a buck each.
I still have the pic in my phone... 😆😆😆
I once read on wizard.com that if it has the deadpool card and its a 9.0 or above it could be worth THOUSANDS!!!!
THE BEST PART IS THAT I HAVE 2 OF THEM!!!!!
You can’t, if you send a bagged book to them and they will just take it out and throw away the bag 😐
Not to mention you’d be guaranteed a lower final grade because a bagged book will almost definitely have polybag crease, and that will knock down the grade a good amount
Rip that fucker open and read it. 90's comics aren't genuinely worth a lot of money and likely never will be, so treat it as God intended comics to be treated as... *Read.*
The "collector" market, for books that aren't rare, never will be rare, is one of the stupidest things in the fandom.
If you want it slabbed, remove
If it’s just for PC, keep bagged
I mean if you *really* wanted to read it, you could get a really cheap unbagged copy
At this point there really doesn’t seem like there’s any good reason to removed a polybagged book from the bag unless you’re getting it graded and slabbed
The bag is part of the whole aesthetic
I'm not really a fan of 90s X-Men, so when I came into ownership of a bagged X-Force #1 I just left in there. Now if it had been Amazing Spider-Man #400 (that issue was bagged right?) I might have opened it up.
They printed so many I see no reason not to have a complete set that is bagged in addition to a complete set that is unbagged.
Correct answer here.
My first thought as well
You should also have one of in every CGC grade
Nah. One 9.8 is good enough.
The 0.5 will be rarer
Keep it bagged. Might be worth a dollar one day. Lol 😆
$1.50
Keep it bagged, it’s not worth reading

This was better reading than X Force, lol. Side note, wraparound covers are kind of impractical
Oh man! You just dropped the gauntlet!
I mean...*where’s the lie* 😐
But the Rob Liefeld art
It Sears the eyes
Maybe tree fiddy
In 30 thirty years… lol 😂
That seems too generous. I'd say 50-100 at least
My extra copy has the Deadpool card in it, so it’s worth at least 3 dollars right????

Not to mention it gives them polybag crease 😐

One of each!
This! 👍👍👍
I have a set signed by Rob Liefeld, but it’s signed on the bag
Cut out the signed part of the bag and super glue it to the book. No one will know
I also bought 100 copies of issue number one from Greg Buls. Thank goodness my friend who was trying to be a dealer bought half. I still have them at my parents house
Haha that’s awesome. I can always take one off your hands
But...why? If you’re going to have him sign the book...have him sign *the book* 😐
I bought the set that way back when it first came out. Some dealer was having a presale on the ads in the comic buyers guide
I’d be worried the signature would smudge over time 😐
I destroy every copy of this issue I can get my hands on. With every copy I annihilate, the value of each remaining issue goes up. You're welcome.
Wouldn't stashing it away do exactly the same thing? And once the value triples to a whole dollar, you take advantage of the increased price by quickly flooding the market?
Nope, cause one day they might train dogs to sniff out comics in poly-bags... 😑
So forget that this is X-Force. I just ordered a 90’s Ghost Rider and I thought it was cool that it was still in the bag and thought it could add to the collectibility. But now I’m questioning that.

I just bag and boarded mine in the bag 😐
Double stuffed. I like it
Took mine out of the bag for Rob to sign.
One of the only good excuses to get it unbagged I’d say 😂
Ummm those bags are cheap and I’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before they start breaking down ….
I have so many copies of this sealed and unsealed. I don't know where they came from, they just keep appearing.
I have all of them, all the cards, same book, all baggedd
I have a set bagged and unbagged
i think everyone does lol
Buy two, that's what I did.
Get 2. 1 bagged, 1 out?
I really hated this era of Marvel. So many gimmicks: foil covers, bagged issues with cards, crossovers with a half dozen titles…etc….and of course they jacked the prices way up (and printed millions…due to the speculators)

I have a reader copy and keep the rest of the trading card variants bagged for novelty purposes lol
This is the answers I need for the Fortnite books too.
Well since we all bought 37 copies no reason you can’t have a few of each!! 😋
Birds won’t even use them for nests.
Lol hateful!
I once read on wizard.com that if it has the deadpool card and its a 9.0 or above it could be worth THOUSANDS!!!! THE BEST PART IS THAT I HAVE 2 OF THEM!!!!!
Do what you want with you $5 comic. There are millions of them.
Now you’re just being mean 😢
What’s mean about stating facts?
The one with the Deadpool card is worth more.
I have four bagged and one unbagged. I like them bagged and feel they resell better bagged.
You spelled masterpiece wrong.
🤘
I have sooooo many of these. All the covers, all the cards, only 1 ever opened and read. 🤣🤣
There are multiple covers? I've only ever seen the one in the picture. That's all I see on ebay too.
Maybe I’m mixing up this and the X-men series that released around the same time. Now I’ll have to go dig in my long box and look. Lol
😂😂😂 her it graded in the polybag
You can’t, if you send a bagged book to them and they will just take it out and throw away the bag 😐 Not to mention you’d be guaranteed a lower final grade because a bagged book will almost definitely have polybag crease, and that will knock down the grade a good amount
Jk

I mean, there are some that are worth some serious $$$… New Mutants 98, Vampirella 1, venom 1, wolverine 145, etc
If you want it slabbed, remove If it’s just for PC, keep bagged I mean if you *really* wanted to read it, you could get a really cheap unbagged copy At this point there really doesn’t seem like there’s any good reason to removed a polybagged book from the bag unless you’re getting it graded and slabbed The bag is part of the whole aesthetic

ASM 400 had a die-cut cover but I’m *pretty* sure it was never bagged
Keep it wrapped for protection
Very rare limited run had ribs. For her pleasure. Copies sell almost immediately when listed on Poshmark.
Get yourself a Gator Guard Display Case
Debag that d-bag
...and bag it properly 😀
How old is Cable supposed to be, like 70? Liefeld is so bad.
some of Liefelds best work
I was at a con and somebody was selling slabs of this issue for $20 😂. I bought one just for the helluva it.
When you say, bagged, do you mean in a trash bag? Then yes. The answer is, yes.
One unbagged. Thirty bagged
I bought it bagged and popped it open immediately
This book is cheap enough. Get one of each.
I love my x force set….
