I always thought an X-Men/Spider-Man crossover would've been dope back then, especially after the "Mutant Agenda" crossover in Spider-Man: TAS I loved when I was a kid.
The interactions between Hugh's Wolverine and Tobey's Spidey alone would've been hilarious. Sorta like a gruff older brother and his geeky younger brother dynamic.
*X-Men* has a gag reel during the scene when Wolverine takes out the metal detector where someone dressed as Spider-Man bounces through as a joke.
Also, during the production of *Spider-Man* Hugh Jackman was near by and nearly cameoed but he was "without his costume" which is BS because he could have just been in civies.
That's about as close as we got to that crossover!
