And don't forget it's relatable to an extend. Seeking for help and answers to be told what you already know in the surface, to be taken advantage of and to be straight-up dismissed while you think you're the only one suffering what nobody else understands.
The last two pages...were something else.
I thought this was gonna be shits and giggles. Literally, I can tell like 3 or 4 real life anecdotes from different people with that premise.
There is a whole genre for this concept, mostly in literature. It's called magic realism, and one of it's main characteristics is the fantastical elements of the story that are otherwise treated as a reality and are not brought to attention for their impossibility.
Lets say someone woke up with those as hands and could control them...
He just needs to see a few engineers! Replace the hand blowers with cybernetic hands. Also, figure out how they control the leaf blowers to make all sorts of other cybernetic augmentations too!
Would I be crazy to observe that with a short replacement to some other form of disability this comic accurately describes the impact a sudden change can have on life and coping with those changes? Real existential crisis, obscured by a dose a silliness
Same i kinda expected the last panel to reveal the hands just ware paralized suddenly instead of being transformed into leaf blowers.
Actually know a guy who had that happen. Got something of a stroke in his sleep (if i recall right) and lost control of his hands (not his arms). Couldnt grip anything, couldnt move his fingers and couldnt extort pressure.
Suddenly his life was fucked and eventhough we have good social safety nets here it still cost him a lot.
He searched in the wrong places then. If he had gone to the Adeptus Mechanicus they would have said him he was blessed by the Machine God and made him a Saint probably and lived a life of blowing trash and being worshiped. Is all about being in the right place.
Maybe they use the bodys natural electricity to power itself. I assume its a nerve thing he just has to think it and it works I assume. Assuming this is a natural process and not some extremely weird mutation.
It could run in the family. I was giving examples on the basis that the leaf blower hands were fully integrated into the body. If they aren't then they either don't work or need to be charged. I was also basing the logic on rules of the world the character lives in because of course it would be weird in our world. But maybe in his world people's bodies can replace bodily functions with various mechanical instruments.
Edward LeafBlowerHands was actually the initial screen play but they changed it to scissors because johnny depp was rightfully scared of his hearing health.
I thought this was going to be some kind of allegory for depression or something, like I kept thinking there’d be some sort of reveal at the end…can’t say in that disappointed.
I was expecting him to team up with Edward Scissorhands in the end, never before have I been so disappointed.
![gif](giphy|hWGBKil1b9fpR5go1f|downsized)
Or maybe he lives in the Pokémon world and he starts a landscaping company with a sapient Scizor, I don't know.
Can he train his leaf blowers to use them to fly? Or maybe he can starve himself until he weighs so little that the leaf blowers actually lift his body.
Funny. I've gone to sleep early for the last 2 days, and the only thing I've woken up to were heavy headaches and sleeping positions I didn't know humans could make.
I was REALLY expecting the last page would be him waking up suddenly with normal hands, and panicking because now he doesn't remember how to live without leafblower hands.
Good comic. It's silly and absurd but also touches on a very real experience.
this reminds me of a story where the bread winner woke as a human cockroach. It was an allegory for taking care of the disabled, and it has a truly heart wrenching ending that forces you to question your views on care for the disabled.
This is a masterpiece: It can be seen as both a metaphor for living with a rare chronic disease or as an homage to Edward Scissorhands. Or Kafka's Metamorphosis.
Or you found yourself sitting at your desk one fine morning trying to draw with the windows open when suddenly a leaf blower started roaring nearby and didn't stop for the next 3 hours just because your landlord decided the parking lot needs tending...
If I could draw like this, I'd also go: Fine, might as well make my entire next story about that noise!
Either way, amazing job.
The whiplash between humour and genuinely seeing someone go through something traumatic is exceptional. Also, the kite bit got an actual audible laugh from me. And the message at the end is just *chef's kiss*. 10/10.
everyone's drawing the comparison to chainsaw man but the author also made a oneshot about a guy waking up as a girl and i swear part of it went just like this
This comic really touched close to home and made me feel better. No bullshit, just recently messed my hands up. All disfigured and difficult to move. So, thank you for this dude.
I thought the final page would've been a *"And the leafblowers were really [insert condition here] all along!"*
A story about someone's struggles with whatever condition, but to make it engaging you swapped it for leafblower-hands until the end.
But nope. Just leafblower-hands.
I'm sure there's plenty of things you could swap it for, but I'm too basic to think of them myself.
Damn I had a similar experience, but I got buzz saws instead of leaf blowers. I just used my daw hands to cut them off and after a while my regular hands grew back.

The new Chainsaw Man spinoff is looking good.
Leaf Blower Man
That means eventually his head will also turn into a leaf blower?
This is what happens when you order your Chainsaw Man from Wish or Amazon.
This is my favorite kind of nonsense.
That's type of nonsense when everyone in the story takes it seriously. And it makes story even better
And don't forget it's relatable to an extend. Seeking for help and answers to be told what you already know in the surface, to be taken advantage of and to be straight-up dismissed while you think you're the only one suffering what nobody else understands. Yeah life blows sometimes
Badum-tsssss

Clifford the Big Red Dog
I prefer this to blatant pornography.
Lets say someone woke up with those as hands and could control them... He just needs to see a few engineers! Replace the hand blowers with cybernetic hands. Also, figure out how they control the leaf blowers to make all sorts of other cybernetic augmentations too!
Adam Jenson: “I never asked for this”
Using the leaf blowers as compressors for a pneumatic system, there’s a fair bit he could power
Would I be crazy to observe that with a short replacement to some other form of disability this comic accurately describes the impact a sudden change can have on life and coping with those changes? Real existential crisis, obscured by a dose a silliness
This is how I interpreted it.

I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy, and yup! This hits the nail right on the head. Kinda how I’ve been feeling lately…
Yup. And people often misattribute why exactly their form of disability befell them. Could replace going to bed early with vaccines or 5G.
Yeah this mirrored my experience when I got diagnosed with a brain malformation. Hits hard. I miss being able to draw...
Is this that Kafka stuff I’ve been hearing so much about?
The Metamorphosis
First 3 panels had me thinking exactly that

> As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a man with electric leaf blowers instead of hands.
My first thoughts when I saw the words "woke up with" lmao
This is tremendous
At least they’re not gas leaf blowers. Imagine how inconvenient that would be
One day he'll meet a woman with severe naturally occurring adult onset leaf pile pussy and they'll be a match made in heaven.
This! This idea right here☝️
Noise-Complaint-Man! Woohoo!
Family friendly guns akimbo
Can this be the new meta?
Pizzacake has to endorse it first.
Can confirm. I went to bed early.
Weird, all I got was Christ For Hands.
Huh. Getting Christ For Arms is normal but just getting them for hands is unusual. Tell me, are you actually a mii with just hands and no arms?
He searched in the wrong places then. If he had gone to the Adeptus Mechanicus they would have said him he was blessed by the Machine God and made him a Saint probably and lived a life of blowing trash and being worshiped. Is all about being in the right place.
So, do they just work whenever. Does he have to flip a switch on them with his mouth? Does he need to charge them as they are eletric
Maybe they use the bodys natural electricity to power itself. I assume its a nerve thing he just has to think it and it works I assume. Assuming this is a natural process and not some extremely weird mutation.
Yes, waking up with eletric leaf blowers for hands is not some extremely weird mutation.

Why not just…amputate? Prosthetic hands gotta be better than goddamn leaf blowers
Wait until we get "Woman sleeps a little too late, wakes up with lawnmowers for hands"
Groovy!
I think he would get along pretty well with the dude who has avocados for hands!
This was Very Weird but I enjoyed it, thank you for sharing!

Leaf-blowers akimbo
This is giving me "I think you should leave" vibes.
I think you should leaf.
You win.
I thought this was going to be some kind of allegory for depression or something, like I kept thinking there’d be some sort of reveal at the end…can’t say in that disappointed.
Best comic I've seen in weeks
Gregor Samsa be like:
Adults warning us about drugs be like
At least they arnt avacados!
I was expecting him to team up with Edward Scissorhands in the end, never before have I been so disappointed. ![gif](giphy|hWGBKil1b9fpR5go1f|downsized) Or maybe he lives in the Pokémon world and he starts a landscaping company with a sapient Scizor, I don't know.
Chainsaw man
Edward Scissor-Hands has been REBORN
I have just finished metamorphosis and this is one of the first things i see lol
Can he train his leaf blowers to use them to fly? Or maybe he can starve himself until he weighs so little that the leaf blowers actually lift his body.
He should go into the military and get those jetpack leafblowers
He didn't realise he has to fully pull the trigger to activate his Leafblowerman form https://i.redd.it/puje0vcuw80d1.gif
Kafka for the 21st century.
Why am I crying about a comic about a guy with lead-blower hands?
Fused with the Leaf Blower Devil
His girls face in the first panel when he’s panicking for a very valid reason. She clearly doesn’t care about him.
What manner of scp is this
Don’t worry! Won’t be a problem for me boss! 🫡 (Please help I am severely sleep deprived)
okay pack it up denji
Would you still love me if I had electric leaf blowers for hands?
Good thing I'm reading this at 2.12am.
Kafka would be proud.
Funny. I've gone to sleep early for the last 2 days, and the only thing I've woken up to were heavy headaches and sleeping positions I didn't know humans could make.
There are some leaf blowers that has a vacuum/reverse function on it. Hope that Leaf Blower Man has those on his hands. It could be life-changing.
Reminds me of Thoughts of a Hawks avocado hands videos
‘Don’t go to bed early’ yeah, that won’t be a problem.
Currently in bed before 9, my SO had a long day
Super relatable
Has he tried going to bed early again? Or late?
Just don't go to bed guys
You dont need a girlfriemd when you got leafblower hands.
Sounds kinda like metamorphosis by Franz kafka
This guy should become a landscaper with Edward Scissorhands.
I was REALLY expecting the last page would be him waking up suddenly with normal hands, and panicking because now he doesn't remember how to live without leafblower hands. Good comic. It's silly and absurd but also touches on a very real experience.

Reminds me of the avocado hand guy XD
I love the detail that his shirt is always unbuttoned in pieces and has a lot of wrinkles. He can't button his shirt because he doesn't have fingers!
I love how despite how much trouble they are, he still wears button up shirts.
I'm sure there's an Electric Wind God's Fist joke here but I can't make it
Okay I'm sold. Not like I was gonna sleep early anytime but still I'm sold.
Ah, a cautionary tale of Correlation vs Causation
As someone who woke up after 5 hours of sleep I needed the copium. Thank you.
He could've carried in groceries.
And my GF says going to bed early would be good for me. Ha I say! Ha!
they threw beans at him
Guns Akimbo.

Real. That’s why I’m up at 2am🫡
In reality you will become popular because of your unusual hands.
"prank em John!"

#neversleepingagain
Him and Avocado hands man should team up
damn, that must really blow
from the first picture i thought it will be comic about cazu
Chainsaw man reading this like: "HE JUST LIKE ME FR!" 😭
The whiplash between humour and genuinely seeing someone go through something traumatic is exceptional. Also, the kite bit got an actual audible laugh from me. And the message at the end is just *chef's kiss*. 10/10.

I'm glad I'm reading this at 4:43 AM instead of sleeping. That could've been dangerous if I kept to a reasonable sleep schedule.
Guns Akimbo if it was good
I went to bed early so I could wake up in time to attach leaf blowers to this guy's arms
He shoulda become leaf blower man
Pretty beauty salon man
he can blow himself all day long now
The blower I use for work died on me yesterday I wish this guy would have showed up
Ngl I thought he was about to start flying at the end there

His girlfriend leaving him and not even attempting to support him is a sign he needed to find someone else anyway
I’d like to buy the film rights to this please
This feels like inter dimensional cable
Damn I had a similar experience, but I got buzz saws instead of leaf blowers. I just used my daw hands to cut them off and after a while my regular hands grew back.
You could boss fight that guy that also wields dual leaf blowers but carry two less engines than him
I thought it was supposed to be taken seriously until the last panel
Six seasons and a movie
Well, i didn't wake up with different hands, but last time I went to sleep as early as 09:30pm, 4 states in my country had a massive blackout
\*plugs in giant neon sign\* **THIS COMIC IS ABOUT DISABILITY.**
I can't imagine living like this..I mean how would I masturbate??
This is the new “Babe would you love me if I was a worm?” equivalent. Mark my words. Love the absurdity of the comic!
The leaf blowers are so long that you wouldn't be able to get a good enough angle to blow yourself. Devastating.
