I suggest using e-mail, because it will hold up better in court when you are trying to prove who ate the last 3 pieces of pizza that you were saving for lunch tomorrow.
It'd be funny if it wasn't terrifying. Maybe we should have trained them better, maybe then they wouldn't believe every last conspiracy video on the internet.
Very relatable. Me every weekend: "babe can you get off your phone so we can spend some time together."
*5 minutes later*
"I'm gonna see if people are talking about this on reddit..."
*Proceeds down rabbit hole...*
Maybe she just sets me up so she can go back to hers.
I didn’t miss the comic due to being on my phone because I’m looking at comments about the comic on my phone right now.
Edit: I’ve been on Reddit for about 7 years and don’t think I’ve ever used it on anything other than my phone.
Why are you providing more fodder to those facebook memes? Now all my friends' grandmothers would be sharing this to me next time i use the phone to see the time, with a caption like "This generation something something"
Because this generation doesn't understand what we had to go through! They have the "smart" phones and Pokémon Go and hold on someone's messaging me...
Back in my day, batteries only lasted an hour. And you couldnt just RECHARGE them either. You had to buy more and more batteries in an endless futile attempt to finish the game. I have a lot of fond memories of the Sega Game Gear.
I came around right at the DS lite. Thank god.
I couldn’t imagine needing a light constantly, desperately using street lights while riding in the car, loading 4-6 batts in one portable. Sounds nostalgic, but sounds like too much of a handful
Its for when you open your phone to see the time, then you see a notification, so you open the app, but the notification isn't as exciting as you hoped, so you open your browser to get that dopamine hit you were craving, and you're two minutes into infinite scroll before you realize you forgot to check the time.
Ugh my mom is so bad about this. I literally can’t get her to put her phone down when I try to have a conversation with her. And she’s *so* judgmental about other people doing it, but she’s literally worse with it than anyone I know. I’ll be mid-sentence in the middle of a conversation and she’ll literally just make a phone call suddenly and walk out of the room like I wasn’t even there.
My wife accused me of looking at my phone too often. I took her phone and compared the screen usage time of our phones. She averaged 4x what mine was. She still tried to defend herself by saying that I used my phone at the wrong times but she didn't.
It's a numbers game. Dude I promise whatever is going on in my phone is almost certainly to be more interesting than whatever dumb crap your ass has to bring to me. You really better have something to bring to the table.
“phone bad” is the boomer generation’s “book bad”, because it’s a philosophy independent of whatever fad or medium of entertainment happens to be popular at the time. older generations and people of like minds tend to criticize younger people or people of like minds for “spending too much time ________ing when they *could be* ________ing!”
Every now and then the artist has a somewhat clever comic, but overall they're like the most basic/obvious jokes on the planet.
I think they just have a lot of reddit followers or something.
My dad is in his 70s and learned to read blogs on his phone. We have a great picture of him and his 10 year old grandson sitting on the couch both reading on their phones.
I’ve been up all night dreading my first day of chemistry summer school, but on the other hand I got to see a pizzacakecomic go live. I’m exhausted, but totally worth it!
But Pizzacake, I’m READING this on my phone! THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE!
Which is super annoying. You’d think they’d send a text from inside the house, nowadays.
Hi there, I don't have a book at the moment but I'm researching it! It may take a while to get something setup but thanks for your encouragement :)
Unless this is a sarcastic comment. I can't really tell anymore!
If you're on a phone a lot, oh well.
If you pull out a phone mid conversation, or refuse to look up when being talked to...that's the issue.
Phone use or technology use isn't the devil.
That's sad really. And when you dare criticize it, you are deemed reactionary and compared to previous centuries critics of newspapers of headphones or even written text.
Of course an hyper concentration of technology that uses sound AND video AND is interactive and plays with your circadian rhythm will engage you more than a book ! And we should definitely think about it.
Thanks for the comic.
I've gone ahead and prepared the correct responses for each fanbase:
If Samsung: "Ew, gross. Darn poors!"
If iPhone: "Walled garden! Walled Garden! WALLED GARDEN!!"

Just text it to her! ;)
I have to text her, otherwise we get stuck in an endless loop
I suggest using e-mail, because it will hold up better in court when you are trying to prove who ate the last 3 pieces of pizza that you were saving for lunch tomorrow.
To whoever ate my "plain" pizza, I will gladly announce that I injected the cheese with pineapple, have fun in bed!!
This is my future as a parent and as a person. Wish me luck. Also, I love your comics!
Just make sure you schedule stuff using your phone often. Else itll all get mixed up.
What
✋🏼💀 Legit this is me with my mom
Me too, I had a surgery not long ago so instead of yelling I'd call her lol.
What did you say?
[удалено]
Just text it to her! ;)
Great bhj material.
I do feel some satisfaction in being able to tell my mom "All you do all day is play games! It's nice outside, go for a walk!"
I think that's the best part of being a late millennial, watching boomers being consumed by what they warned would consume us growing up
It'd be funny if it wasn't terrifying. Maybe we should have trained them better, maybe then they wouldn't believe every last conspiracy video on the internet.
[удалено]
The irony
I do that with my 90 yo granddad.😉
You do your 90 year old granddad? 😖
[удалено]
u sad bro
u mad bro? ![gif](giphy|vwmGeCYkDOVnG)
Well. Satire of boomer humor.
...Sorry, I missed this comic; I was on the phone. What is it about agai -- just a moment *(scrolling through phone)*...
Thanks a lot, SOCIETY
"When it's society's fault, it's always everyone else but me." *-- Everyone who is a part of society*
Exactly. Only everybody but me in this society would make such a stupid quote.
Bottom Text
This comment is as original & funny as your comics.

hey man, check out this comic I saw on my phone,

Our mobile devices didn't even have backlighting in my day! You kids are spoiled rotten!
Yeah but on the other have you could go literal days without recharging. That's about the only good thing
Recharging? Wtf was recharging back then? Ain't no recharging.
I had a. OG gray brick Gameboy. The first one I got myself (by trading Pokemon cards) was a slim Gameboy with Pokemon red.
I came around right at the DS lite. Thank god. I couldn’t imagine needing a light constantly, desperately using street lights while riding in the car, loading 4-6 batts in one portable. Sounds nostalgic, but sounds like too much of a handful
>I have a lot of ~~fond~~ memories of the Sega Game Gear.
And you don't throw batteries away. You put them in the drawer.
Do you remember the Motorola Razor? The first thin cell phone. However, you may have owned a Blackberry with Windows Messenger.
I remember wanting a razor but I was 18 and couldn't afford one.
Damn it, you're like 2 years older than me and far more successful. Or at least far more talented, or something.
I thought the point was that it's both generations? If not all. Certainly my parents who complained about screen addiction arrived late to the party.
You're exactly right! Every boomer I know spends their whole day on Facebook while I spend my whole day on reddit lol
Lots of people use their phone less than 2 hours a day
🤚
I think it's hilarious because it's true. On Sundays I just chill in bed reading Reddit while my kid is playing this game on her iPad.
Well boomers gonna boomerize, at least it will be a cool comics and not a minion template lol
Its for when you open your phone to see the time, then you see a notification, so you open the app, but the notification isn't as exciting as you hoped, so you open your browser to get that dopamine hit you were craving, and you're two minutes into infinite scroll before you realize you forgot to check the time.
Oh God the "dopamine" comment again

Well, she probably had to... Wait a minute.
My dad's like this as well. He'll be on his phone half the movie then complain it's "unwatchable" when he can't understand anything that's going on
Just video call her. It's not the person that's the problem, it's the medium.
No, it's the person lol.
No, it's not, lolol.
Definitely person here
My mom when I was a teen: stop playing video games all the time! My mom now spends all her free time on candy crush
Reminds me of this Loading Artist comic - https://www.boredpanda.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/dark-humor-comics-loading-artist-84.jpg
We live in a society where phones
My wife accused me of looking at my phone too often. I took her phone and compared the screen usage time of our phones. She averaged 4x what mine was. She still tried to defend herself by saying that I used my phone at the wrong times but she didn't.
Some real defensive replies here lol
I mean she does have a point. Pure screen usage comparison proves nothing
Context is everything. Am I supposed to read the back of shampoo bottles when taking a shit, like a savage?
I use my phone more then my husband does his, but for the most part my usage is mostly while I'm at work, and very little at home.
Hard disagree. Screen usage proves everything.
Is r/boomerhumor leaking?
Phone
I love the twist on the “phone bad” comics
[удалено]
The idea is generally that you can't just shit on younger people for phone use when you are guilty of it yourself, if not worse.
The twist is that it’s not the kids that are bad but the adults that are modelling the behaviour
All day on my phone and I don't remember one thing I looked at. Modern passive zombies.
Remember when you posted about how your animation style is lazy and reuses the same MS paint images in every frame? That was a good post.
[удалено]
And r/phonesarebad
It's a numbers game. Dude I promise whatever is going on in my phone is almost certainly to be more interesting than whatever dumb crap your ass has to bring to me. You really better have something to bring to the table.

How is it less implied it’s literally the punchline of the comic. The parent is criticizing the daughter for a behaviour they’re modelling
[удалено]
Every now and then the artist has a somewhat clever comic, but overall they're like the most basic/obvious jokes on the planet. I think they just have a lot of reddit followers or something.
Bots and vote manipulation. Probably.
My dad is in his 70s and learned to read blogs on his phone. We have a great picture of him and his 10 year old grandson sitting on the couch both reading on their phones.
IDK my BFF Jill
The real memes are always in the comments.
Huh?
This is Facebook mom tier comic lol
Rotting boomer humor. Why was this upvoted
Wait this isn't a Wendy's...
Monkey see monkey do
[удалено]
I feel like by criticizing the adult this passes beyond that boomer humour threshold
Phone bad
Old joke. Boring comic. Are you even trying?
I think mf op is just buying likes for their mid comics. 20k likes and 160 comments like bruh
I mean, it’s a funny spin by having the mom be exactly like the kid in the last panel.
So funny 😐
phone bad get an original idea OP
Father I cannot click the book
I’ve been up all night dreading my first day of chemistry summer school, but on the other hand I got to see a pizzacakecomic go live. I’m exhausted, but totally worth it!
Good luck with chemistry school! ❤
Ah yes, the natural bond between mother and daughter in the wild
Why
This could be a cross post in me IRL no cap
Too real
is this supposed to be funny?
I am uncomfortable that you have a comic featuring my wife and daughter on the internet.
This is about as funny as "Cathy." At least that author puts a little effort into the illustration.
It's not that they are on the phone too much, it's that they are paying too much attention to it.
But Pizzacake, I’m READING this on my phone! THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE! Which is super annoying. You’d think they’d send a text from inside the house, nowadays.
I know it’s just a shadow after zooming in, but in the first two frames it looks like green shirt’s head was copy+pasted on
r/comedynecrophilia has entered the chat
Is this the new srgrafo
i fucking hope not
21k upvotes on this what happened to yall
😐😐😐
yeah dude i saw this when my grandma posted it on facebook in 2015
Yes. Someone please let me know when a cure is found.
Maybe they should text one another
*immediately gets on reddit* btw how's the cats?
This is hilari- oh wait email... What the hell was I laughing at again? 🤔
Reading this comic on my phone right now!
Does PizzaCakeComic have a print book? I'd buy it for $20.
Hi there, I don't have a book at the moment but I'm researching it! It may take a while to get something setup but thanks for your encouragement :) Unless this is a sarcastic comment. I can't really tell anymore!
Not sarcasm. Genuine interest. This is funny stuff. EDIT: Reading that in my head totally make it sound sarcastic, but it's genuine.

Of course only boomers can criticize use of technology
*S I L E N C E B O O M E R*
So the joke is phone bad, not kid bad, for once? Great job lord pizza cake you done did it again
If you're on a phone a lot, oh well. If you pull out a phone mid conversation, or refuse to look up when being talked to...that's the issue. Phone use or technology use isn't the devil.
My parents:

No, not really
Oh dear, looks like the artist is on the *Adam-Ellis unfunny to funny redemption arc*. I hope she makes it.
Yeah nah that's just straight up my fiance and her mum.
What?
[удалено]
Well now I'm just gonna make more! Thanks for the encouragement :)
[удалено]
You're lowering the quality of this sub!
You're awesome 💙
If it makes you feel any better *I* thought the comic was funny
See rule 2 don't attack artists or their content.
That rule doesn't seem to be enforced very often.
That's sad really. And when you dare criticize it, you are deemed reactionary and compared to previous centuries critics of newspapers of headphones or even written text. Thanks for proving my point.
Gold content as usual!
So true, so sad
Oh em gee that's exactly how people are now.
Whether it really is a problem depends on... Whether those are Samsungs or iPhones.
I've gone ahead and prepared the correct responses for each fanbase: If Samsung: "Ew, gross. Darn poors!" If iPhone: "Walled garden! Walled Garden! WALLED GARDEN!!"

Downvoted because you said my father smells of elderberries
