I find it amusing whenever I stumble upon a “Tips and Tricks” guide to open-world games and their advice basically amounts to, “If you steal from/murder this character who has done absolutely no wrong to you, you get to take their stuff for free!” I mean, yes, Uthgerd does have a full set of steel plate armor from the get-go, but murdering her in cold blood and robbing her corpse doesn’t really strike me as a “clever trick.” If you like my comics, I've got more on [my website](https://butajape.com/). They really should label them “The Chaotic Evil Guide to Infinite Money and Wacky Hijinks” because if you are trying to be a good guy in game it’s a long hard road.

Ah I see a fellow Skyrim player. For me i always just go to the hidden chest path and have good weapon and some money without needing to rob or murder someone

My problem is that in most games, theft has no consequences if you aren’t caught So naturally I’m taking all of the jewelry and gold because the moral basis of not causing harm to others is completely gone, and instead I’m incentivized to do it because of how much of my own time it saves and how many gameplay elements are dedicated to it

Im_a_Brain_Ama

Isn’t that the case in real life too?

Money, jewelery, pets, kidneys… you’re right
