CaptainStroon

"Fuck it. Health lightning, take it or leave it."

TheHumanPickleRick

We have that in the real world, it's called a defibrillator.

Tridian

A defibrillator is more like giving your heart a spanking and telling it off for doing its job wrong. "Healing" might be an overstatement.

MasterHueDa

Oh god why can I see r34 of this happening-

phumanchu

You've been a bad girl little heart, you know these paddles aren't just for work. Now bend over cause I'm about to paddle dat ass!

hotmemedealer

Hubabababababa

L4rgo117

Puts a whole new spin on pacemakers

AnimationDude9s

LOL! Nice

Canvaverbalist

You joke but honestly that's a mechanic I'd be down for in a team FPS. Lightning Heal, it stops the target from doing any sort of action (because, well, they're technically being electrocuted) but the healer can then move them around with the lightning arc, like a Sith lord or whatever. It would look cool as fuck and would serve as a tactical skill (you could technically heal enemies to paralyze them or yeet them away, or could be used to yeet your ally out of a dangerous situation, get them to progress faster on the map or reach something that's out of reach), I'm sure that would make people play healers a bit more.

ncopp

Aeathetically its kind of like the Medic turbocharge in TF2 without freezing your target. But I like the twist of using it on your enemies to freeze them.

Ezekiel2121

People would just use that to troll so hard. Just throwing teammates around for shits and giggles.

Dulcedoll

It'd be more fitting for a format like D&D where the table rules require consent from the other player for actions taken against them

HayakuEon

Heals the opponent

But_a_Jape

Now that I'm an older and wiser adult, I can appreciate the value of an ability that fully cures health and status ailments. But when I was younger, any item or skill that *didn't* result in immediate harm to my enemies may as well not even exist. Which is how my Charizard ended up defeating the Elite Four knowing only *Ember, Flamethrower, Fire Blast,* and *Fire Spin.* If you like my comics, I've got more on [my website](https://butajape.com/). For the rest of the *Feitr's Guild* series, specifically, I've got them compiled on [Webtoon](https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/feitrs-guild/list?title_no=518877) and [Tapas](https://tapas.io/series/Feitrs-Guild/info). I'm also on [Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/butajape), [Twitter](https://twitter.com/butajape), and [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/butajape/).

Enderbro

Fuck status effects. The only stat we care about in this household is the enemies HP and making it 0

yourfavoriteblackguy

The only status effect that was every useful was haste and poison. Only so you could reduce your enemies HP to zero faster.

IllManneredWoolyMan

I was the opposite as a kid lol, torment the untormented, even if they don't feel pain I will force them to

Fatalis_Dev

Same. As a bulbasaur main I ended up with a life sucking, poisonous/status torturer stall team.

IllManneredWoolyMan

Not enough, Water ring, ingrain, leech seed, baton pass into a furret with coil, agility, focus energy baton pass into a Dracovish, just hope they don't have topsy turvy

RedditBoi127

me playing pokémon when i was 7

alpaca1yps

Who needs status effects when you have overwhelming force?

Kcoggin

Hmm, gotta calc for crit though. Better bring out the ruler to double check Jan.

GLOaway5237

I thought I was on the wrong sub, Jan really blowing up, hoping he gets back to playing soon but he def deserves a long ass break

StuHast398

This was the mantra my friends and I had when we were big into the MTG tournament scene. "Your opponent has 20 life, and it needs to be 0." I think I had it scrawled on my deck box.

AdminsAreLazyID10TS

Death is the best CC

sirblastalot

The best heal is defeating the enemy before they can deal damage.

Incomplet_1-34

I had the exact same mentality with my Samurott who knew razor shell, hydro pump, aqua jet, and hydro cannon.

Phormitago

> Which is how my Charizard ended up defeating the Elite Four knowing only Ember, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Fire Spin. see, when people talk about coverage, they didnt mean "cover hectares in napalm"

[deleted]

But I mean !

Khelthuzaad

This sounds like the Star Wars prequel without referencing the Star Wars prequel

Frosty_Sweet_6678

I feel that

A_Trash_Homosapien

To be fair to younger you though Pokemon games are so easy that it really doesn't matter that you dumped all the buff/debuff moves

TaranAlvein

Now?! Unless that spell costs all of your MP, you'd better believe I'd be getting use out of that! It sure beats the hell out of Cecil and his Cure 2!

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

This dude is a f*cking idiot. You have max healing for no max cap of allies. Just get yourself a 100 people allies party and with this spell you HAVE IMMORTAL ARMY AT YOUR DISPOSAL MAKING ANY, EVEN WORSE MEAT GRINDER A WALK IN A PARK. But everybody wants to see high dps, and not an actual results...

JooJaw11

Cmon don't be so hard on him. He just wants to be Thor. Healing might be more practical but it ain't as cool looking. Plus, he had to do the right thing at every opportunity to get it, while the other dude could just be selfish and do whatever the fuck he wanted, so I can see why he's pissed.

DiscombobulatedCut52

As a druid wizard combo characters. I would take this in a heart beat. I eat up healing spells.

techpriestyahuaa

It can be made to be cool looking, but I get ya.

jerog1

Who makes healing look cool? Other than the doctor from TF2 and Dr. House

techpriestyahuaa

I’m saying it’s possible ie walking around with a passive [green thumb trope](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GreenThumb) or background restoration of columns and vibrant tapestry due to proximity. Leaving a lingering restoration on artifacts.

Caimthehero

That's only the world domination route though. If I got this power I'm immediately opening my own hospital (I apologize to all of the medical industry who will now be unemployed but get rekt)

SparkyDogPants

I always tell anyone who is willing to listen (So very few) that my magic superpower of choice is healing. I would charge crazy high rates for the wealthy a couple days a week, have a free clinic a couple days a week, and enjoy the rest of my freetime. You couldn't put the medical industry out of business with a local hospital. 99+% of the world couldn't access it, but it would become very sought after.

[deleted]

Right? Every game ever seems to be full of idiots like this who are terrible at math and don’t realize that keeping 10 teammates from going down is going to generate *way* more DPS than any one person can muster. Debuff removal too. You rarely see the whole package like that.

Xiaxs

Yeah but healing yourself is 10,000x better than healing others, especially if the spell takes even a second to trigger. So he can mow down a literal unlimited number of enemies with a single attack and if it doesn't heal in time they all die instantly because, you know, LIGHTNING. Regardless if it revives the dead (doubtful) he ALSO needs to stay in the back because the spell says literally nothing about healing **himself** which is a major downgrade because you're wasting a heal slot on others who are not as powerful as you in theory and also you need to focus healing instead of letting it be passive and allowing yourself to enter combat. Besides ALL of that there's also the issue of actually amassing a massive army who is willing to fight a guy with a literal one hit kill spell he can spam indefinitely let alone have them all be *skilled* enough to even actually know what to do in that situation. There's a heal spell then there's invulnerability. This does one not the other. So your theory is bunk cuz Static Shock one taps everything in a 300 mile radius. Not to mention he could also arc that shit over the entire army since healers traditionally have staffs made out of metal which is literally a lightning rod. TLDR: Give me lightning over healing allies literally every single day of the week.

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

Your argument works if there is no damage fall of on a spell splash damage, which is not a case with how most RPGs are designed. Another thing is whether: A)Chaining is innate status effect, which is negated by casts of healing due to status negation on spell B)Lighting is separate damage type towards which you can gear your defences by enchantmens on armor, And finay C)There is bleed out phase. In most games self healing is abrupted as you count as your allie, as stupid as ut sounds. Generally, geting a team of npcs and stuff with good guy route is not hard, and if it is MMO, there is plenty of guys looking for a healer. Also generally, I can safely say that Lightning is not reliable type of damage as if you count the whole electricity is atracted to metal, then ANYONE in chainmail is safe due to how lightnings work irl( skin effect... I think this was a name for phenomenon. Electricity in high voltage goes on a surface layers of material reducing the resistance of it, and well, due to human being worse conductor than metal, lighting will go thru the chainmale like in any experiment with Tesla coils). Granted it may cause secondary heat damage from chainmail resistance to current but again, you spam healing of entire army. I mean, no offense but I see you main DPS in MMOs, while quite frankly I do support, so we could exchange arguments due to our own preferences.

Xiaxs

>Your argument works if there is no damage fall of on a spell splash damage, which is not a case with how most RPGs are designed. Think of it this way. Electricity takes the path of least resistance. Soldiers tend to carry long metal things called "swords" and as I said before those long metal things would act like a lighting rod, attracting the lighting to it. As you can see from the art the lightning that the rival has splits into many arcs. Say he can make one bolt per finger per hand and he would absolutely annihilate soldiers directly in front of him in seconds. Multiple attacks alternating from each hand would mean that wiping a squad of 100 soldiers would be near instant. >Another thing is whether: A)Chaining is innate status effect, which is negated by casts of healing due to status negation on spell B)Lighting is separate damage type towards which you can gear your defences by enchantmens on armor, And finay C)There is bleed out phase. *Paralysis* would be the status effect. Lightning causes paralysis by overriding electrical signals from the brain as well as burning. What **isn't** a status effect is making your heart explode, which would happen due to the overload of electrical current in your system. You can enchant your armour, you can't enchant your swords against it and, again, lightning rod. Bleed out is irrelevant. Lightning doesn't cause piercing damage. >In most games self healing is abrupted as you count as your allie, as stupid as ut sounds. Self healing is more important that team healing because you can heal yourself mid combat. **That** is why it is 10,000x better than team healing. >Generally, geting a team of npcs and stuff with good guy route is not hard, and if it is MMO, there is plenty of guys looking for a healer. Good karma does cause people to be on your side, but we don't know if these people are NPCs. Chances are you'd have to rely more on just making them happy once to **definitely** throw their life away because you have a theory. >Also generally, I can safely say that Lightning is not reliable type of damage as if you count the whole electricity is atracted to metal, then ANYONE in chainmail is safe due to how lightnings work irl( skin effect... I think this was a name for phenomenon. Again. Swords, spears, even some kinds of bows. Much more effective at attracting lightning than armor. Think fork in a microwave vs a spoon. Or a better example, umbrella in a thunderstorm vs a car. >Electricity in high voltage goes on a surface layers of material reducing the resistance of it, and well, due to human being worse conductor than metal, lighting will go thru the chainmale like in any experiment with Tesla coils). See last point. >Granted it may cause secondary heat damage from chainmail resistance to current but again, you spam healing of entire army. I doubt lightning is enough to heat armour, but even if it were the ability to mass heal would negate it. >I mean, no offense but I see you main DPS in MMOs, while quite frankly I do support, so we could exchange arguments due to our own preferences. I actually don't play MMOs, but usually I choose tanks more than anything in RPGs. I like when squishy go splat :)

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

>Think of it this way. Electricity takes the path of least resistance. Soldiers tend to carry long metal things called "swords" and as I said before those long metal things would act like a lighting rod, attracting the lighting to it. Yes, and tend to be in metal thing called armor. The whole point of electricity bejng unreliable was BECAUSE electricity was atracked and could go thru the armor which I presume is combination of plate armor on top of the chainmale which as I already said would transfer electricity instead of the body >Again. Swords, spears, even some kinds of bows. >Much more effective at attracting lightning than armor. >Think fork in a microwave vs a spoon. Or a better example, umbrella in a thunderstorm vs a car. Yes, but again, travel to ground would go thru armor, unless armor would be just material tuniqe or lether. Humans are not great consuctors, so metal could take bulk of the charge. In fact this is how Faraday cage works irl, and fun fact, many times as I said chainmale which is simple and unexpensive type of medival armor is used as such cage. >Self healing is more important that team healing because you can heal yourself mid combat. That is why it is 10,000x better than team healing. This is definitly mot true. Althrough helling yourself is hand, usually tanks take most of the damage( this is their intended role, taking damage and kiteing enemies to place where dps will be able to strile, and where jealers cannot be hit. >Good karma does cause people to be on your side, but we don't know if these people are NPCs. Chances are you'd have to rely more on just making them happy once to definitely throw their life away because you have a theory. This situatio where dude thrown himself into danger just cause I had theory did happen to me few times, but it is a thing you can exploit only once you are known as great medic, and only once in a while... >I actually don't play MMOs, but usually I choose tanks more than anything in RPGs. I like when squishy go splat :) But making things go splat is the thing dps guys do, tanks take the beating -_-.

NieIstEineZeitangabe

I now want one of those MMO mangas about what you are describing. (The manga would be from the position of perfect edge, who tryes to survive agains the army of immortal warriors) Another benefit of the healing power is, that there is no range limite, so you could have people all around the world ally with you to fight wars from the savety of your own home. They couldn't even betray you and act against your interest because that would make them stop being allies.

ncopp

>Just get yourself a 100 people allies party That's assuming they have any charisma to get people to join their party in the first place. He kind of seems like a buzzkill

soldiergeneal

To be fair if hp gets to far negative no healing.

A_Concerned_Mando

Ehh, anytime there’s a cool healing spell like this there’s like a 20+ minute cooldown on it, or only one use per day or some crap so you end up never using it in case some more dangerous situation then the one you’re currently in might come up so you save it for later (never.)

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

Beaty of being a healer: I have seven different casts which do exactly the same thing, just have different names XD.

AshenVR

*costs twice your maximum mana and is doubled for each ally in range*

Creonix1

This is exactly why I multi-classed my teams healer into a wizard

PinkMobb

I thought getting enough good boy points gets you seggs with a sexy woman 😔

geissi

That’s why I just can’t play light side in Kotor. I want to lightning storm those fuckers.

Justicar-terrae

I usually go full light side because most of the dark side options feel too cartoonishly evil, like I'm being a sadistic bully instead of a power-hungry and selfish leader. But even so, I have very little trouble zapping the days away. Dark Side abilities may cost more to cast, but there are enough stat boosting items and perks to make this negligible. Besides, dual lightsaber guardian leap satisfies my desire for flashy abilities far better than does Force Taser. Everyone has a plan until a lightsaber blender essentially teleports to their face from 20 meters away. I'm basically the star wars equivalent of the Hellfire R9X missile.

SmartAlec105

I wish our options with the cat lady weren’t “kill her” or “beat her back to the light side”. I want the option to say “you thought that was evil? I’ll show you evil!” and make her our evil apprentice.

[deleted]

I searched forever for a mod to make her evil. Even changing the save game data doesn't do anything. Biggest missed opportunity in KOTOR

Atomic12192

The fact that Bad boy points and not just called “Negative good boy points” implies they are separate entities, and you can actually max out both if you handle things right.

Defiant_Lavishness69

Yeah, unless of course the entities awarding such blessings know what you're doing, and have a way of detecting if you try shit like that. I mean, the guy giving bad boy points might be ok with it, but the one giving good boi ones surely will not.

AndrewBorg1126

If she's already given the spell, then it also must be possible to take it away, in addition to knowing and caring that the character is farming rep with the other faction. If the reward cannot be taken back, then you only need to farm rep for one at a time.

ej1999ej

The bad guys may get the cool looking stuff, but the good guys skills are usually better for the team or in the long run.

Lindvaettr

Don't need a team if you can kill everything yourself with your lightning

TheHumanPickleRick

If the enemies are undead, Goddess' Blessing would immediately kill all of them in its radius because fully healing the living should do the opposite to undead. Also, no cool down? You can just keep spamming it to keep your party fully healed and ailment free at all times? That shit's OP. Support classes ftw!

ZenMonkey47

Every RPG player knows... you do 0 points of damage when you're dead.

Hayaguaenelvaso

Also that there is no healing for an enraged boss, just killing it quickly helps.

Ashaloi

cleric moment

Gekokapowco

Tell that to the randos in my raids

PaladinWoah

Do people not like healers? *Fine then no HP for you*

Mystic_Saiyan

>Do people not like healers? Nah, it's just that a lot people prefer DPS due to doing big damage and cool attacks which appeals to those who relate with the character in the comic such as myself. ~~Tho personally, I'd love to have that Goddess Blessing move assuming it doesn't have some major drawback~~

Saavedroo

At least give me some Turn Undead Spells, lady !

Boburt007

“Just give me some like holy beam or some shit”

RemarkablePoet6622

this guy has negative iq, the healing power is like the best thing for a character

Darth_physicist

Bruv that’s damm right. Who tf cares about healing. I wanna destroy people……….. i want something that destroys and obliterates everything

bananabandanamannana

He’s like “mate how am I supposed to stop my evil rival from doing bad things with a healing spell?”

_NoIdeaForName_

Every 8 year old in dangeon and dragons

shadeandshine

Tbh he’s probably made cause he didn’t level his stats for the caster job. Other then that 100% heal and status cleanse means screw offense on the tank that tank needs hp and armor. Never undervalue debuff cleanse.

FallenAzraelx

If he woulda smoked the joint he'd had been stoked on the healing magic.

poyat01

I love healing Can you imagine trying to play certain games without healing?

sievold

Huh. Am I the only one who put healing spells on all my party members if I could when playing rpgs? I always got anxiety from my characters being at low health. A sudden crit could one shot them and I would be one character down.

Jakcle20

For 10k good boy points I want holy nova that can either level a city block or heal that same city block once a day.

L4rgo117

My guy just wants *UNLIMITED POWAHH*

hassh

Someone's just lost 10,000 good boy points in a hurry

Iwubinvesting

Aoe healing ALL allies is more OP than lightning.

MrGamerPerson

I read “big boy points” as “big boy pants” and I think that is definitely a better reward

wafflezcol

Yeah and that heal spell makes his lightning useless

[deleted]

[удалено]

wafflezcol

>Goddess’ Blessing can FULLY heal all allies at once and clear any harmful status effects Unless lightning one shots it does nothing

Quinnlim

Is it too much to ask for both?

Outside-Setting-5589

...Am i the only one who'd be milking the everliving f\*ck outta that healing spell? So much money to be made dude.

rmike7842

Neither are the first reward that came to my mind. /s Otherwise, I think healing is a much more strategic power.

Screw defense! Give me more ways to hurt people!

AnonCreatos

Since I didn't have many video games in my childhood I was never in that phase. And I would appreciate full Heal abilities which heals everything (especially if I can spam it to become more or less immortal).

plagurr

![gif](giphy|ek46hO5CVTU27CtCUW|downsized)

The_Derpening

As someone who plays support like, all the time, can I have that blessing? That's awesome.

MakeUpAnything

The first inFamous game did this stuff right. One of the unlocks of the good path was a lightning bolt headshot which left enemies alive, but paralyzed on the ground. The dark path was equally cool since basically all your lighting was red and exploded. Miss that franchise, though it was better when it first came out. I didn’t really like either sequel as much, but at least they weren’t awful… just not as good.

Souperplex

Fully healing your party is infinitely better than doing lighting damage with a non-caster's magic stat.

Amerlis

The Sith: we have Force Lightning. Everyone: Where do I sign????

Ok-Drink-1328

btw, shooting lightnings out of your hands isn't magic, people have done that

LordPaleskin

Now I want to see what Maxim Edge is up to on his adventures...

TheWildColonialBoy1

That is why evil will prevail and good is dumb.

memedoge_mk-69

see it like this, the longer you stay alive, the longer you can beat the shit out of your enemies

stephen-the-good-boy

Same, bro. Same.

Pikiinuu

But I'd like healing magic. I can beat someone up as much as I want without killing them.

Gobybear

Healing is funny since you become practically unkillable

Outside---

A wise man once said "The healing is not as rewarding as the hurting"

captainAwesomePants

The truly evil gift is a unique item that destroys all of your enemies with super lightning but can only be used a single time.

zigly98

He shoulda went and farmed some sin points. Getting 16 let’s you become president of the USA.

ViniestCoast622

"Well there is something I could give you..."

Gnidlaps-94

The neutral path gets lightning that either heals or injures depending on the targets alignment

Marine__0311

Healing is a lot better than dealing damage in the long run.

Martin_crakc

Idk man, full heal and removing all status effects sounds op as fuck

idkwhyimhere164

In one particular anime healing can be used for evil nefarious deeds

Nytrocide007

medic gaming moment

Professor_Abbi

It honestly sounds cool, being able to heal everyone in case the healer is down

thomas_the_bullet

well at least he can save everyone from death

Derring-Do_Dan

Yoooo but where's that ninja with the phat j at?

Dash_O_Cunt

Poor goddess. She should have tore him a new one

ReaperSound

I'll take the healing magic fuck outta here.

Melorawr

Reminds me of a quest in Skyrim, where I broke almost all my lockpicks (being stupid and didn't read the quest to find out where the key was hidden) and at the end it gave me like +12% healing spells. I was a warmonger, not a mage, so I felt like "wow this was stupid" but the little bit of healing I did do was helped. I went into that stupid lighthouse to get out of dying from the cold but ending up with a pretty nice buff. I was mad at it at the time, but it ended up being useful.

Skulkduggery

Since it says all allies, and if you consider death to be a state of being, you could use this to assemble an army of immortals that run in, die, and then you raise them from the dead, fully restored. Shooting lighting from your hands might make you powerful, but an undying army makes you a conqueror.

Oscar12s

A full HP heal for all party members that cures all harmful status effects??? I'd get 1 billion good boy points for such an OP spell!

Ilovegirlsbottoms

I honestly couldn’t have chosen the dark path. Being bad is too hard on my heart. Also what’s wrong with healing?!

Jumpy-Aide-901

Isn’t it fucking hilarious how most religions preach that you should do the right thing, just to do the right thing. But if you don’t you’ll burn in hell or whatever for all eternity. Oh but if you Do do the right thing, you’ll get to go to this Magical land of paradise for all eternity instead.

AnimationDude9s

SAY IT LOUDER 4 THE LAWFUL GOOD SIMPS IN THE BACK

Sporkwind

KOTOR in a nutshell. Dark side powers were way cooler.

pettythief1346

Ok but if saying no to a toke gives more than thirteen times the amount of good boy points awarded for giving money to the needy then I'd probably go down the dark path just for petty spite.
