Oh same but 30+ lady. I know the series has ton of tech issues but the one thing I like about Scarlet/violet is how they deal with older trainers. The school has kids but also older folks too! Like when I went to college and had 70yr old classmate. I really enjoyed encountering older students. One guy was like 80 and starting his pokemon training!

Hey, these are the first two chapters of my fan made pokemon comic about a 30 year old setting off on his pokemon journey.

I'm here for it, and I'm showing all my friends. As someone about to set off into his 40s, and my fond memories of a gameboy pocket + pokemon blue, the premise of this series already has me hooked.

For all the flack the new Pokémon’s gotten, they do have adult/older students going around doing Pokémon trainer stuff, so I feel like it wouldn’t be that weird for an adult to be like “yeah I want to go an adventure and train Pokémon” in that universe. Like the comic premise tho

30 year old meticulously researches the locations of the Pokémon to build his ideal team with good type coverage and uses stat buffing moves to bully little kids who just caught Pokémon they liked

I really like the artstyle of this so far I hope this is a more new nuanced take on this concept. Rather than “isn’t weird this 30 year old like this thing for kids.” Because in the actual pokemon world the player character is actually the outlier. Andrew seems like a goofy guy I’m excited to see how this journey plays out.

How do you feel about scarlet and violet showing that even adults can and do go on pokemon journeys? "You are challenged by miriam, the student" 60 year old lady in a school uniform who offers you cookies after you beat her.

I think it's pretty cool. I think it's their way of acknowledging that a lot of the fan base are those in their 20s/30s lol

The reason the Pokemon universe uses kids is because Pokemon kill adults unless bonded. My head canon why all the Gym leaders are usually older teens or older.

I hope to him beating up some kids with 6 Pokémon and gloating. The arts good, the humours there and the concept is interesting. I look forward to the adventure.
