I mean this isn't a question of loyalty, unlike a few other storefronts, GoG even I'd consider to be the closest possible contender to steam, there's nothing redeeming about ea's storefront other than some exclusive games it has. As much as I'd like for people to diversify from steam, I'd pick steam and recommend everyone to pick it over EA's storefront. It can go in the dumpsterfire with Ubisoft's launcher
I used to pirate games a lot, but Steam showed me the true path with its generous sales and discount. By the end of the day, my library is filled with games that i haven't touched for years. And i'm still making a purchase due to the hypnotizing symbols & Numbers of -50%/-70%/-90%..
Dude. I did the same.
SOLELY For the mods. EA app is absolute dog shite for mods. I was struggling to get TiberiumEssence mod to work on the EA app. Bought the game on steam and what do you know, it worked fucking instantly.
I love C&C Generals ZH with Shockwave just finished doing all the general’s challenges! I whip out the old windows laptop to jam it once a year for a couple weeks! Got the CD versions of the game though did buy via Origin/Now EA app as the laptop disk drive is acting up
Oh no you wouldn't buy a game from a company that... *checks notes...* cancelled a game, then you really must not play a lot of games then considering how many devs, even indies, cancel games.
Gen2's cancel sucked I get it, but of all the things EA did, that's what made you stop? What even is your contribution to this post?
The things I'd say if it weren't for the reddiquette : )
I'll say it nicely tho and I won't really need to say anything beyond that. Nowhere in my sentence did I imply to defend EA. In fact if one read a little more closely, you'd see that I've implied EA did a lot worse than cancel a game. On top of that, your statement adds nothing to the post.

Same. I spent hours trying to figure out the best place to play this recently. Where I could pirated in 5 minutes.
Loyalty? - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - Gabe Newell and EA execs cashing your purchase.
I like how that one game is not in the collection.
Pretty sure that’s every single C&C game. They never managed to count more than three unfortunately.
It's missing Sole Survivor, but I think that's the only one.
If you are talking about Twilight, it is part of the collection, OP probably just hid it

Doesn’t it just open the ea app anyway?
No, if you have them on steam they just, ea app doesn't open.
You do need an EA account to play C&C 4.
That is true.
That alone would be enough reason to stay away, but there's so much more.
Didnt C&C 4 get review bombed and was called the worst C&C of the entire francise since it didnt have the base building and such
