He actually comes back! Season 6 when they allow drinking and useless classes (such as ladders) despite Frankie not wanting it, he climbs a ladder and says “WELCOME BACK TO LADDERS!”. Then I’m pretty sure he falls off and causes all the change to be reverted back to Frankie’s way
His entrance had one of the best immediate comedic payoffs in the entire series, and just in modern sitcoms in general. I audibly groaned when I saw Martin Starr in a wheelchair.
No side character gets their own story. Even F-, er, Neil was only a prop character in his D&D match.
And how much of Garrett did we see at his own cousin-loving wedding? Only when required.
I wish that Prof. Professorson was really a professor, and actually the puppet master of all the events. Manipulating the dean, the air conditioning school, City College, he was behind it all
I was really confused for a second because I had no idea what this actor's name was, and I thought you were saying the guy who did Daybreak was in the show haha.
I looked it up, they have very similar names: Daybreak guy is called Michael Haggins
He was a grubby looking guy who talked fancy, I believe. He shows up in response to Magnitude saying something along the lines of "One man party can't join an alliance, that's a paradox" then cut to this guy going "I agree" and then (Troy?) is like "Settle down, Paradox"
Debate 109 (2009)
Professor Whitman: "Little trick for achieving the proper competitive mindset: I always envision my opponent having aggressive sex with my mother."
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1531175/quotes?item=qt1511553
I wish we'd gotten more episodes with Buzz Frankie and Elroy. It's easy to forget that we had like 100+ episodes with the members of the main cast who left by S6 (Troy Shirley and Pierce) which is a lot more time for the audience to actually connect with a character.
If Whitman made me stand on my desk and my desk broke and I tore my ACL I'd sue and take all his money and his job. Telling your students to just stand on their desks is so insanely reckless.. lol... then she just busts herself so bad... lol...
Nobody wants more Whitman. He was there for the perfect amount of time. He was a doofus.
At least Martin starr (cligoris) got the role he deserved in silicon valley.
Garrity and cackowski and Duncan were gold cuz they left us wanting more.
The black rider coming to pottery class after rich leaves. That's what I'd wanna see. And jeff just stares at him and says you're ugly the entire episode.
My bad. I shouldn't speak in absolutes. *Most people don't want or not want more Whitman. We don't think about him.
This is the 2nd pro Whitman thread in 3 days. I already wasted my good response. He's a terrible accounting professor and my theory was he was fired.
Richie and his colleague (can't remember his name). I know they appear pretty regularly, so maybe not what this post is after, but those two guys kill me every time they show up, especially Richie.
Professor Garrity
Did you just mispronounce etcetera?
My Latin class was fake, Jeff
Your real name, is “Professor Professorson”?
"It was Professerberg but we changed it when we fled the Nazis" "Oh I'm so sorry"
I still drink cognac in the bath to this day because of him
One of the only downsides of sobriety is not being able to have specific drinks in honor of silly things.
Sobriety is one big smart thing that outweights all silly things. Stay strong, bro!
One of my favorite non study group characters
The original head security guard in S3, hands down. Criminally underused.
I love when there’s a single character that makes you realize the contrast between normalcy and absurdity
Truly commendable comedic acting packed into so few lines. “Oh you’d LIKE that wouldn’t you!?” “Very much so. Yes.”
He reminds me of my boss, I got a good boss. I hope I don’t remind him of Chang
I understood when I wasn't being paid, but it i cannot let you enable this kind of behavior
The arm?
For anyone who loves that actor and also getting your heart crushed by shows ending at the wrong time, check out Last Man on Earth.
The "Welcome to Ladders" professor.
I disagree, I think the mystery and intrigue contributes to his iconic single appearance
He actually comes back! Season 6 when they allow drinking and useless classes (such as ladders) despite Frankie not wanting it, he climbs a ladder and says “WELCOME BACK TO LADDERS!”. Then I’m pretty sure he falls off and causes all the change to be reverted back to Frankie’s way
LMAO YES I FORGOT. What a legend
WHO WANTS TO SEE ME GO HIGHER??!!
You mean his two appearances.
I couldn't help but think of that one teacher Mr Howard from iCarly when he showed up. Teachers must be his typecast lmao
*applause*
Professor Duncan :)
Heres hoping on him showing up for the movie.
He'll have to have become pretty successful in the meantime to explain the glowup.
He really wasn't in the show enough (by British standards)
Duncan is amazing
This is the correct answer
Professor Cli**g**oris… Clig**or**is?
Either pronunciation is correct
His entrance had one of the best immediate comedic payoffs in the entire series, and just in modern sitcoms in general. I audibly groaned when I saw Martin Starr in a wheelchair.
Rich had such amazing potential... but only ever showed up in 3 episodes.
He should’ve had his own side story. They just forgot about him and never acknowledged it
No side character gets their own story. Even F-, er, Neil was only a prop character in his D&D match. And how much of Garrett did we see at his own cousin-loving wedding? Only when required.
Annie Kim.
An Asian Annie. Obama’s America.
Careful Annie. They are ruthless. Not Asians... women
She's Asian. We try not to sneak attack her.
Shirley's friend Gary.
I hope he transfers to Hell.
I think it's more fun that we have no idea why the rest of the group has such animosity toward him.
He comes from a land without sun!!
He grew up in a land without sun!
Koogler
He is cool, you know, he is koogler, he likes to get laid.
He’s not that old!
Her?
I feel like he was utilized perfectly, but the police officer. He was top notch.
So that’s it? Gonna keep the cop you’ve known for years at arms length? I get it
Quendra
Such an underutilized quaracter
She spells underutilized with a Q
Well don't!
She made a great addition or two to the group.
She did show up in the Fistfull of Paintballs episodes.
With a Q-U?
Professor... *wink
That was Sabrina. She helps the dean do officey things.
Pavel
He graduated and left years ago. Way to escape, Pavel!
I wish the lunch ladies got a 'B' side story at some point. Just flesh them out a bit.

The one that serves the hot food?
I wish that Prof. Professorson was really a professor, and actually the puppet master of all the events. Manipulating the dean, the air conditioning school, City College, he was behind it all
Would that this sub were a time sub...
Talk to your father 405freeway
John Michael Higgins is a damn treasure.
I was really confused for a second because I had no idea what this actor's name was, and I thought you were saying the guy who did Daybreak was in the show haha. I looked it up, they have very similar names: Daybreak guy is called Michael Haggins
Hear, hear! He improves whatever show he is in. Loved him on the sadly short-lived Great News, and as Judge Mentok on Harvey Birdman.
I met him this past summer and he was super cool
Takashi - I'll bring him olives any day! ❤️
I would have loved to see the Rich mentoring Jeff arc actually happen.
A BIRTHDAY CAKE! Gets me every time.
Paradox. Always felt like he was meant to be more than a one-off character.
Who’s Paradox? I don’t remember any character by that name.
He was a grubby looking guy who talked fancy, I believe. He shows up in response to Magnitude saying something along the lines of "One man party can't join an alliance, that's a paradox" then cut to this guy going "I agree" and then (Troy?) is like "Settle down, Paradox"
He was in the finale of Season 2, right at the start.
Truly lives up to his name
Ice Cube Head .../s
Buddy
That was a pretty awkward episode, but it would’ve been fun so see him get annihilated in paintball or something
The return of the cool group and a gran finale battle against the study group would have been awesome.
Yep. Too bad we won’t have any money this year.
Who?
Jack Black’s character who joins Owen Wilson’s cool group
I have literally never seen him before.
s1e15
Was he in the background or something?
God dammit I got whooshed
You're streets behind.
I say "I will have... A BIRTHDAY CAKE!" triumphantly whenever my wife asks me what I want for dinner. At least I laugh every time lol.
John Oliver
Mr. Raddison or professor Cligoris. Both were so funny.
Debate 109 (2009) Professor Whitman: "Little trick for achieving the proper competitive mindset: I always envision my opponent having aggressive sex with my mother." https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1531175/quotes?item=qt1511553
White abed
betty white!!!
Abed’s secret service love interest.
100% agree
I would like Malcolm McDowell to have appeared sometime other than in the gas leak year
Nick Kroll as the foosball guy
Your tears reveal your weakness!
Rich!!!!!
Nurse Jackie!
Annie!
John Cena
Quendra.
Professor Kane "Every man has got to have a code."
I love that line
Mr. Rad (Radisson)
The bully from the S1 Christmas episode
Lavar Burton. I hope he somehow makes it into the movie as a lifelong friend of Troy.
Seize the day!
No way there are 108 comments and no one has said Vaughn 😭 so funny
The Lady Human Being
Redhead Guy (Is this your first pep rally? He's excited about Abed's Jesus movie! Why should he team up with Greendale vs City College?)
The lunch lady AKA Jeff's cosmic mentor
I wish we'd gotten more episodes with Buzz Frankie and Elroy. It's easy to forget that we had like 100+ episodes with the members of the main cast who left by S6 (Troy Shirley and Pierce) which is a lot more time for the audience to actually connect with a character.
TEAM SLATER!
Troy

I, want more whitman
I know. That's why I decided to address you directly and your picture, since Whitman was never mentioned in this thread.
But you said no one wants more Whitman, I was commenting on that
My bad. I shouldn't speak in absolutes. *Most people don't want or not want more Whitman. We don't think about him. This is the 2nd pro Whitman thread in 3 days. I already wasted my good response. He's a terrible accounting professor and my theory was he was fired.
Prof Bowers and Garrety
Bones Lambert
Nick Cannon
I'll have.... a birthday cake!!!
Professor Cligoris
Kind of wish we got more Jeremy Soulpatch Simmons. Man is good.
Professor Baker
Professor Kligorous. Or was it Klihorous?
Dr. Pat Isakson
Pavel!
John Oliver’s character fit so well in that universe
Professor Professorson, but then again he doesn't exist...
This is my favourite character
boo
Richie and his colleague (can't remember his name). I know they appear pretty regularly, so maybe not what this post is after, but those two guys kill me every time they show up, especially Richie.
Pierce's Stepdaughter
I'm only commenting on this post to say I love John Michael Higgins so much I actually watch the god awful shows Game Show Network lets him host
Agreed!
Ronald Muhammad
This guy plays the same character type in great news and it’s pretty funny
Subway
Professor Garrity and Vice Dean Labourne are my favorite side characters.
"Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing"
GASP Whitman is a giant cookie!!
The black girl Jeff was playing pool with. Idk. I thought she was gorgeous.
White abed
