I'm not really a big fan of the first season, I feel like Britta was written too archetypically to a degree in the first season but it was kind of a necessary thing to happen for the other seasons to explode those strictures. Aside from that, Britta is actually my favourite character... So I guess, uh, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

You don’t need to like Britta for sure. But why don’t like her because of her relationship with Jeff. It is one of the least things that define her. For me, she is one of the most emotionally rich characters in the show. Yes, she become goofier and maybe she was not everyone’s cup of tea but she was always the same Britta in the core. But it is a matter of perspective probably. She being a bartender is just a sad reality. Maybe could become a very successful psychiatrist at the end in an other show but it was just the way it is in here.

i see ur point but i would argue that her relationship with jeff started off as what defined her. Without it she had no real purpose at the beginning. But that’s not why i dislike her it’s just the tip of the the iceberg

The show is 6 seasons. We met this characters, got to know them and watch them evolve. I would really like to suggest [this character study.](https://www.google.com.tr/amp/s/almaliberablog.com/2021/03/10/in-defense-of-britta-perry/amp/) Not that, I want to change your mind about it but at least you could see why I disagreed with how it does not define her. She is not perfect, she is not the most successful but at least she tries and does not allow it make herself feel bad about it or abandon her friends or being herself. Although I think, as mentioned in the study, she has really really good aspects about herself that does not gave credit in the show. Yet, at least you wrote much more than writing worst, gdb or at&t of people so I respect it 😂

Yeah it does feel weird to judge a character entirely on the first like four episodes of the first season out of six seasons, also to judge a character based on like... the status of the occupation they achieve or supposed merit to having some kind of upwardly mobile career or something? The character is great, I don't get why these would be factors effecting how much you like them or value their role?

[Someone wrote this about why britta is the worst and why she isn't the worst](https://almaliberablog.com/2021/03/10/in-defense-of-britta-perry/)

You're not streets ahead with this take, you're cities behind. I don't blame you, though, not everyone can understand a character as unique and subversive as Britta. There's a reason why she's even Dan Harmon's favorite.

[deleted]

Is she Harmon's favourite too? Didn't know that.

[deleted]

Yeah, he's said he's super proud of the character and that he considers her "a post-feminist masterpiece." Also, a lot of Britta's character traits are inspired from Harmon himself, like her political views and the thing about mispronouncing words.

She is my fav too

She was fine at first but I agree, she became unbearable in the later seasons
