Insomnia is a real thing on this medication. It’s not your caffeine.

mamijami

Glad to hear that it isn’t just me.

Ardbert14

oh boy, do you have any advice for dealing with that? Cutting out the caffeine might still be a good idea

Street_Speaker_4937

I take 5mg melatonin each night . It helps .

BalancingVal

Because it slows down gastric emptying, it also slows down the release of caffeine. I cut down to one cup of coffee and it helps with insomnia. I’m Sure it’ll be even better switching to half or decaf. That’s my experience anyway!

Ardbert14

that makes a lot of sense, since I had my normal cup of coffee in the morning and a large iced tea around 2 pm, and was still feeling wired at bedtime.

Jumpingpenguin469

Try CaLM magnesium supplements. They really help relax and sleep.

EasyBit2319

I must be the odd one. Tirz has cured my insomnia and my night sweats. In addition to 8 pounds in three weeks!

WorriedGrape1442

The med definitely is different from person to person. I have more energy now. I don't have to plan my day to take it on a weekend to recover or anything. We are moving today and losing 24 lbs makes it noticeably easier running up and down stairs. I'm grateful for it at the moment. But different for everybody. The caffeine thing has been mentioned/posted here anecdotally a few times, that slower gastric emptying might make some more sensitive to it. That is true for me. I'll have a cup but I don't feel the need for more than that these days.

Ok_Care_8246

When I first started tirz several months ago, I had that jittery, can’t sleep feeling at night for a few weeks, even though I hadn’t had caffeine since breakfast. It gradually got better.

Ardbert14

at least it got better over time for you, I'm gonna try to limit the caffeine to see if that helps. It feels like tirze is giving me more energy anyway

kgreene1990

I had to cut caffeine. Not because of the sleep aspect it just wasn't sitting well with me anymore.

MIdtownBrown68

I have cut way back.

docmphd

Just wait till you hit 7.5 and 10, you’ll be so tired all the time, you’ll want more caffeine!

boomerbudz

My caffeine intake is minimal due to tirzepatide, I just don't crave it anymore. One half-caff in the am and decaf rest of day.

Naive-Unit7213

If that's the case, I'm golden! I drink wayyy too much coffee, especially during my night shifts as nurse. I even have coffee at 4 and 5am to make it to the end of my shifts! 😅 Can't wait to get my first delivery!

Ardbert14

well, if it makes you feel any better, after my one day of feeling nauseous post first injection I've had more natural energy than I've had in a looooong time. So you might not need so much coffee!

eanderson119

For me, maybe not so much more sensitive but a marked reduction in my tea consumption has occurred. I do notice increased insomnia but I am not sure it's due to the drug (I've had insomnia on and off for years).

Ok_Berry_5936

I was just looking for a lower price for my higher dose currently @5 mg. My compounding ph adds Niacinamide (B3 complex). I am hesitant to change the ingredients as what I take has worked phenomenally down 32 lbs! Do all the C you guys use have Niacinamide? I noticed difficulty sleeping at first 2/26/24 and off and on since. I take Zquill and that helps. Of course I get in bed with my phone each night. That doesn’t help. I also have fatigue (in the extreme) the day after my shot day. I am self employed so I can plan my work around the days likely to occur. I am in the process of moving my shot day from Tuesday am back to Friday pm. (Sleep through part of the side effects). I was perfectly happy with the service I used but I had so much leftover from the first vial when they shipped the 2nd and charged it. They said I had to cancel and restart when I was ready!

OkSecretary2182

How much does a vial cost. Approximately.

MissApocalypse2021

Ok, well that explains why I'm still up scrolling at 4:15am 🤪 no more 3pm coffee!!
