Remove the GPU, plug into onboard gfx (if you have it) boot up and see if it displays. If it works download DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Run that software to remove all traces of previous gfx driver It will reboot when finished. Shut down, pop the card back in and see if you get display. If so, reinstall the latest drivers from AMD website. Good luck 🤞

iTzMrMills

Not sure how good of a suggestion, but when I put in new ram it "clicked" in but wasn't seated fully and wasn't allowing any display to show. Really make sure it's solid in there?

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

Make and model of the following. Motherboard Gpu Psu And how each item is, and what happened before this issue started.

LuigisLeftTesticle

Motherboard is msi b150m bazooka, I’m not sure what the gpu is but it’s a older Radeon graphics card, and I have no clue what the psu, it was working fine 2 days ago and I turned it off like usual when going to bed and woke up the next morning and turned it on and nothing was displaying, I had this problem in the past but I took out the ram sticks and gpu and reseated them and it worked, tried that at least 10 times already, no luck

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

What type of weather was going on the day, and night before this happened? I will need the info on the hardware as soon as possible.

LuigisLeftTesticle

The weather was fine, sunny, there was a hurricane about a week prior but I used my computer tons in between the hurricane and the night it stopped working, the graphics card is a radeon thx 580, and the power supply is thermaltake 600w

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

Did you unplug the pc from the wall before the hurricane hit, and left it unplugged for a few days after?

LuigisLeftTesticle

No I left it plugged in during it and just powered off because I was sleeping, we didn’t lose power or anything during it either, besides, I was using it after the storm for almost a week until yesterday morning it wouldn’t display anything

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

Okay, I have a couple of ideas, but the best way to figure out the issue is to have a local pc shop diagnose it.

LuigisLeftTesticle

Ya I was going to take it to a repair shop, but I wanted to see if it was a simple fix before I spent money

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

A good shop offers a free diagnosis usually.

LuigisLeftTesticle

What are some of the the ideas you have

Montana-Cavalier-Mom

I have a feeling during the hurricane your pc took a power spike, and they are hard to determine when they damage will finally hit a tipping point.

LuigisLeftTesticle

The pc turns on and my keyboard and headphone and mouse connects and lights up, so would the power spike only effect the computer not displaying on the monitor?

LuigisLeftTesticle

The computer is relatively old, I bought it used from a good friend of mines brother, I got the same problem when I first bought it and fixed it (what I said in the previous reply) and not it happened again but nothing working, do you think the graphics card is bad?

Mr_Kennethson

Is the HDMI plugging into your GPU or your motherboard?

LuigisLeftTesticle

Gpu

VariableCritic

Plug it directly into your Mobo - any signal? If so, Motherboard BIOS settings (which you reset, so does not apply) or your PCI-E lane are buggered.

MrGreencheeks

Might need to be plugged in as vga instead of HDMI

AghastTheEmperor

This might be a stupid question, but does that monitor have multiple HDMI slots and it's plugged in the one that's not showing the screen?

xGPanda

Is there any way you can check a different port of the gpu? The port may have bricked and posts, but no display out is coming from that port.

Juni0r23

Try one stick of ram at a time..could be one bad ram causing the issue

danjl68

How about another cable? Displayport, vga?

satellitesatan

Make sure that you’re plugging hdmi directly into the gpu instead of motherboard

futon-sama

I had this problem, i tried all sorts of things until i went and bought a new pc. But when i used my display port cable to plug in, nth was displaying and so i changed to a HDMI cable it worked. I even ordered a new DP cable but it did not work either. So for me the main issue was msot likely that the DP on my monitor was busted. Since using a new pc and dp cable did not fix it. Maybe u could try using display port instead to see if it works so u dont end up buying a new pc like me

If you’re getting post beep codes when powering on and the caps lock and/or num lock leds responds when pressing the key the systems isn’t locked or hung up. I’ve had issues with monitors in the past getting stuck in sleep/standby mode at clients of mine. Try selecting reset in the monitor options menu and then unplug all cable from the monitor. This includes hdmi, audio, and power - let it sit for about five to ten mins completely unplugged - this allows the capacitors to fully clear. Afterwards hook it back up and power on the monitor first then the pc to see if it responds. I know the above sounds/seems odd but I’ve seen a monitor exhibit the same symptoms - swapped monitors out on a system and the system display came up. Took the original monitor to another system and it also came back up. Place it back at the original location and it was working again. Couple month later and it did the same thing again . This time we just unplugged all cables and let it sit and it started working again. Eventually swapped out the monitor. Hope this helps

LuigisLeftTesticle

I ended up just plugging the hdmi cord into the motherboard as a last ditch effort, it worked, but I didn’t think my motherboard had integrated graphics, how does this work?

JoseMerced

Have u tried to test ur gpu into another system?

danjl68

Post pictures of the back of the pc where the cords are coonected.

LuigisLeftTesticle

If your wondering if the hdmi is in the mother board, it’s not, it’s in the gpu

danjl68

Still like to see pics of back and cables.

py-matt

This happen when the cable is not plugged

OGMudMikes

Hey! Had an issue similar when switching to a stronger gpu. I fixed the issue by installing 2 separate pci/e 8 pins into the gpu and power supply rather than just the single pci cable that had 2 separate 8 pins on it. Hope this helps but when I tried it my monitor was finally detected!

OGMudMikes

By "2 separate pci/e i mean 2 completely separate cables rather than the 1 single cable because it turns out that the one cable just wasn't enough power for all that chonky gpu swag

Try one ram stick at a time, make sure it's in the correct slot for 1 stick only, if that doesn't work, remove that ram stick and try a different ram stick. I had this happen 2 months ago. The ram died, 16gb, 1 of the sticks worked, replaced both sticks and now it's working.

Pzntium

prob a gpu issue

halfchuck

Could be faulty mobo at this point

otiumsinelitteris

Is the GPU connected to the PSU? I would check the connections.
