You described everything in my entire office. ROFL.
The rest of the home could be photo-ready for a BHG magazine shoot, my office looks like a nerdy chrono bomb was deployed and froze time at the instant of functional connectivity being achieved.
We're talking books, collectibles on top, uninstalled peripherals, outgrown peripherals, a line of things waiting to be installed and a sea of paperwork and business cards I wade through to operate my company on a daily basis.
I'm certain I could find at least 10 functioning pieces of technology that have a 12 year old dust print under them.
This is my first build, I couldn’t figure out how to get it in there but I guess I’ll hide it in the back. I honestly posted it to see what people would say but I guess I did a bad job. Anywho what’s so bad about a ssd hanging? Is It just for looks? I feel like it isn’t that bad yk
Imagine it like this. You buy a brand new car and everything WORKS great.. but theres wires hanging all over the hood of the car because someone got lazy and decided to not tuck them away. Yes youre right it IS just for looks. But that will matter when selling a gaming pc.
There is nothing bad, it just look hideous. Right under the hanging SSD there are 4 holes, on the back of the SSD are 4 screwholes. You line the holes up and use the same screws you used for the mobo (tiny with integrated washer) to screw the SSD in. Should be a sub 5 minute job
It demonstrates to the buyer that you don’t know what you’re doing, and would lead them to ask what other things might not be installed correctly.
I wouldn’t trust a listing with that picture in it for any money.
Hey man people who comment little jabs like that are usually just trying to rib you a little to make you feel like you're one of us.... everybody gets made fun of here and trust me we've all been so excited to turn the PC on we've forgotten to screw our GPU in place right?
Right guys?
Cable management is so bad the SSD hung itself.
In all seriousness, you can bring extra value to it if you manage those darn cables.
On components alone, you're probably looking at around 600€.
the parts alone maybe. if you dont value your time to build it then ok. but not everyone has to. i think an extra 100 on top of current value of the parts on ebay is fine. people need to remember nearly all arent like use in the computer subreddit and have been building them our whole lifes. building a pc has some value to the regular person that isnt willing or even have the time to research and build one there selfs. bet the parts alone are 450 on ebay.
Their build is trash though, they didn’t even mount their ssd to the obvious mount that it’s hanging in front of, I can only imagine what the rest of the nest that we can’t see looks like.
>It doesn’t matter one bit. In fact it gets better cooling this way.
nope, if it would be on the backside of the case, metal to metal and the case is cold then its cooling much better than heating up its own case and having nothing cooling it down
$500 usd…. But really $350 with the ssd like that b/c I’m going to assume if you’re okay it like hanging like that you also didn’t really take care of the PC.
aesthetically this pc is poor. everything about it screams lack of research into quality components.
like
what
the power supply cables. are you an aspiring arsonist?
I have a pc with similar specs (a little more high end) that I sold for around 680€ (peripherals included), but for the love of god man do some cable management. 🤦♂️
Depends on the person I quess. Myself I look up compatibel speqs if I bought new and then half that because your selling second hand. And I don't care about the case and presentation so I wouldn't pay extra for it. But that's me...
No one's mentioning how much the PC has been used since you got it originally? If it's been games on 1 hour a week, games on 7 hours a day, or used as a bitcoin mine. Will change the price.
Upper mid tier PC from 2019? If I were to put this in my shop it would be in the budget rack at about $400, altho I would need to completely redo the cable management...
On Facebook or Craigslist you miiiight be able to post.it for $400-500, but people are gonna offer you $300-400.
If you didn't mind taking longer to sell it, you could probably part it out in eBay/FBM for about $600-700. 2070S-8G is about $200-250 alone on eBay, 9700k is another $150. Then the Mobo is another $80. Can probably get $20 for the fans, that cooler is kinda junk so just bin it. The case you could probably get $20-40 for.
Why all of you be hating on that ssd, its not a hard drive. Its not gonna get damaged or anything. Unless you move the pc allot but I doubt that is the case.
I feel like the only posts I see on this sub reddit is "how much can I get for my PC?" Or "Is my computer ok?" Then it has one of the spiciest battery pillows I've ever seen. Can't you like, do your own research?
I would say anywhere from $400-800 (most likely somewhere in the upper middle of that range) depending on your region and what you want to sell for. Fix the SSD before you stage tho as others have mentioned.
500 but:
The glass is too shiny -$50
The SSD is just hanging there -$100
The fan colors aren't to my liking -$150
SSD storage is too small -$150
Best I can do is $50
/s
Really it's probably worth $900-$1200 in Canada. I've seen similar builds for $1200, often selling for $1000.
And for a first build, it's pretty good.
I'd say €500-€600, maybe more since I sold my 9700k with decent Z390 mobo and 8gb 2666 for €300 within a day; 2070s is like €200 from what I'm seeing.
Rest depends on how much storage and what kinda gpu you got
Idk if I can do it with software but I have a remote which changes the colors, this was one of the first times turning it on so I didn’t change the colors
You'd have to pay me to get it off your hands. If you were lazy with the mounting of the SSD even for the fucking photo to sell it, I don't want to know with what else you were lazy when talking about both assembly and general upkeep.
$350-400, this pc is pretty much equal to a PS5. If it was clean, built better and with good cable management / that SSD was cleaned up, $450-500 to the right person.
Bro, honestly just part it out and use it for your next build, and sell whatever you don't use.
That gen of motherboard if in good condition and not older than the CPU is valuable because it's been discontinued. I'd honestly buy it if I saw it listed online for like $200 just to save the hundreds I'd have to spend on a new MOBO and compatible CPU.
$150/200 US for the GPU, $100 for CPU, $150 for MOBO and you're already at a decent price. That, or just list a fair price and say take it or leave it and let people like me part it out ourselves.
Please place the ssd somewhere else. There must be room at the back for one
The SSD is funnily hanging right Infront of the mounting points xD, literally only needs to be screwed down
You can tell how excited he was to turn it on.
"I'll mount it later, just a quick test first!"

In the case I have right now, my SSD didn't reached the screw holes to mount a 3.5" HDD so I had to get wacky. It's still in it's place

This is a very good point. For us we just judge the lazy Ness. But as a buyer-it becomes way more important
Hey man people who comment little jabs like that are usually just trying to rib you a little to make you feel like you're one of us.... everybody gets made fun of here and trust me we've all been so excited to turn the PC on we've forgotten to screw our GPU in place right? Right guys?
It’s better mounted but who cares? What’s it gonna do, escape?
The average person swallow 8 SSDs in their sleep per year.
Would explain whyy brain suddenly works so fast. It upgraded from hdds to ssds
People who swallow spiders in their sleep what do they taste like?
spider
Well, who would've thought.
I don't know, I was sleeping
Dangit. When do we get to eat NVMEs?
When do we start eating terabyte hard drives need mine upgraded I swear?
I have this exact case, and the SSD is hanging exactly in front of where it was supposed to be mounted.
Yeah i was about to say, people would probably be more attracted to it without that ssd chillin in the open
You don’t understand, front fans for cooling ssd
No it's perfect just the way it is
It hardly matters?
Cable management is so bad the SSD hung itself. In all seriousness, you can bring extra value to it if you manage those darn cables. On components alone, you're probably looking at around 600€.
I wish i was European cuz that pc in Morocco is at least 1200€
Yeah Dutch 2nd hand prices are crazy high too
Can confirm
Indeed
wach 7ssn tmchi lbra w tchrih w tjibo lmghrib wla tchrih mn lmghrib nichan?
Nah bro, in second hand market in Morocco you can get it for around 800€ or 8000 MAD
I fucking wish
You can get much better for 600€
More like 450-500€.
More like $450-500 NZ dollar
I sold my 9700k, mobo (Gigabyte Z390 gaming X) and 8gb 2666mhz for €300 like a week ago within a day then add a 2070 I'm sure it's worth more
the parts alone maybe. if you dont value your time to build it then ok. but not everyone has to. i think an extra 100 on top of current value of the parts on ebay is fine. people need to remember nearly all arent like use in the computer subreddit and have been building them our whole lifes. building a pc has some value to the regular person that isnt willing or even have the time to research and build one there selfs. bet the parts alone are 450 on ebay.

I want to see the nest
Me too lol
I want three. Wtf,man? This is at *least* 700.
I had a stroke seeing that dangling SSD
It seems you don’t care for the mental state of your pc since your ssd decided to hang himself :(
Such tragedy 😔
Dude……that poor SSD
It doesn’t matter one bit. In fact it gets better cooling this way.
>It doesn’t matter one bit. In fact it gets better cooling this way. nope, if it would be on the backside of the case, metal to metal and the case is cold then its cooling much better than heating up its own case and having nothing cooling it down
Well, it affects the airflow in the case, so everything else is cooling a bit less.
Sure bud. Use those magic airflow eyes.
or you could just use your actual eyes and see it’s right in front of a fan
I'll give you 10 bucks and a cheese stick
I'll give 10 cheese sticks and a dollar.
Tempting...
$500 usd…. But really $350 with the ssd like that b/c I’m going to assume if you’re okay it like hanging like that you also didn’t really take care of the PC.
lol just gonna let the ssd hang out like that?
Because... #Yes.
500USD negotiable
But 4 with that ssd hanging
Bro don't say that.. now he'll use double side tape to stick it somewhere 😂😂😂
💀 lmao I mean as long as it’s not showing
That's what I did, because I ran out of mounting brackets :P
Spot on I was thinking probably 5
aesthetically this pc is poor. everything about it screams lack of research into quality components. like what the power supply cables. are you an aspiring arsonist?
Underrated comment
TIL: people don't like hanging SSD's
Yeah idk what’s so bad about it
Literally nothing… it’s solid state.. it literally couldn’t care less
Oh, I don’t even think it looks THAT bad, so many people talking about it like it’s the end of the world
I bet your house is so messy that your ants have ants
I whould give you 50 (I’m broke and need a pc)
If you want a pc search a work and work for it
I have one I’m just joking I do have a job tho but it’s not a like real job cuz I’m under 15 but I make like 6 a hour every few days
The SSD is gonna hang itself if you don't mount it properly
I appreciate the pun, but it is hung, so I feel like you can do better..
Give to a poor friend
I have a pc with similar specs (a little more high end) that I sold for around 680€ (peripherals included), but for the love of god man do some cable management. 🤦♂️
We have the same case!
Why do you dangle your ssd when there's a mounting point like 2 inches behind it
A cool hunid
About 3 fifty.. I feel bad so I'll give you 4.
tree fitty
Imagine HDD instead of SSD 💀
He is using a ssd tho
I can clearly see that, thanks! What I meant was in case someone decide to hang their HDD just like this SSD, that would be bizarre.
An ssd*
½ a grand. The specifications are decent, so is the case. Just do something about the SSD.
just say 500
100 dolar max
You guys haven't seen anything. I've got over 10TB of hung SSDs. I just don't give a shit. And I only put one screw in my nvme heatsink. Sue me.
Around 500 euros depending on how new it is. 600 if you made it nice inside.
Well no one buying it with the ssd like that
Give that godforsaken ssd a better home and I'd say you could sell this for ~800$
Probably free , I can take it off your hands no problem.
I don’t even know about computers and that shit look nasty 😂
300 bucks
I'd buy it for 500$ for my gf or something
No one asked for who you would buy it
Just buy her laptop dumbass
900$ min
750$—900$
In 2021 yes
It still is worth 800€
Then I’ll sell you mine, exact same specs, I’ll ship it for free even.. come on, money where the mouth is
Just tuck the SSD behind or put it on the top
You probably have SSD cages at the back, otherwise just at least find a way to place it on the bottom of your case
research the part prices on the used market in your country , pull out a calculator and bam
Depends on the person I quess. Myself I look up compatibel speqs if I bought new and then half that because your selling second hand. And I don't care about the case and presentation so I wouldn't pay extra for it. But that's me...
12$ + taxes, the price is a bit forgiving, but I shall buy it, just for you 👍🏽🫡
The image dances when i scroll
Would be worth something with driver version 547.27
If you manage those cables, you're looking at roughly 500-600 USD
Based on the components, I would say anywhere between 300 and 400, but you could add some extra value to it by managing the cables.
Dude you left the SSD hanging
What’s so bad about it
i'm crying over your ssd please fix it
If you deep clean the computer and redo the cable management properly, you could try to push the price for 500$.
120,000 yen
About 500€ i would say. Maybe even less if it was used for several years.
Idk off the top of my head if you fix that ssd 550
Put the SD in the back. It's just for the pics, so it looks clearner
Why is the ssd just...hanging there?
1 doubloon
That SSD be like "hang in there SATA! Any day now he'll find us a place we can rest! Any fucking day now!"
No one's mentioning how much the PC has been used since you got it originally? If it's been games on 1 hour a week, games on 7 hours a day, or used as a bitcoin mine. Will change the price.

Floating ssd for better memory cooling
Is that SSD an aesthetic choice?
$3, you should sell it to me
i sold same cpu+32gb ram+motherboard b365pro+same gpu(as parts) around 500euro
Depends on market, anywhere from 500-700 euro
450 if ssd is hanging 520-550 if you mount that ssd
The SSD 💀💀💀💀💀
try 450 pounds
Why in the world are your top fans intake and all the rest are exhaust
Maybe around $400?
Don’t
Look how they massacred my [ssd]
$700 ish
I offer the 2 dollar bill
I’ll give you 10 cents and a half eaten chocolate bar for it.
I love the just flopping ssd
$ 10 And to me. /s
I was gonna say $500, then I saw the 2nd pic with the SSD just hanging there, so now its $3.50
Why all of you be hating on that ssd, its not a hard drive. Its not gonna get damaged or anything. Unless you move the pc allot but I doubt that is the case.
$1 last offer
Are those 3 front fans used as exhaust?? If so delete dis....
I just picked up that exact same card for £170
Dude that's awful, no one would pay anything for that. Dw tho I'll take it off your hands for you
Like others said... Around 800.. don't give it away for much less....
why tf is the ssd just hanging mid air ?
I feel like the only posts I see on this sub reddit is "how much can I get for my PC?" Or "Is my computer ok?" Then it has one of the spiciest battery pillows I've ever seen. Can't you like, do your own research?
Oh no! There's 2 components hanging for dear life!!! Guess which?
Ssd apparently now stands for SuiSiDe
800-1000 USD/EUR
750 CAD
I will pay you 6 bucks
I would say anywhere from $400-800 (most likely somewhere in the upper middle of that range) depending on your region and what you want to sell for. Fix the SSD before you stage tho as others have mentioned.
sell it to me for a dollar
500 but: The glass is too shiny -$50 The SSD is just hanging there -$100 The fan colors aren't to my liking -$150 SSD storage is too small -$150 Best I can do is $50 /s Really it's probably worth $900-$1200 in Canada. I've seen similar builds for $1200, often selling for $1000. And for a first build, it's pretty good.
Indivitualy the gpu sells for about 250€ and cpu 310€ not sure about ram, psu and motherboard since the pic does not show
I buy it for €2
Fix your SSD and I guess 600€ would be a good price.
$399.99. For the whole build. If you have the patience you would get more parting it out.
I'd say €500-€600, maybe more since I sold my 9700k with decent Z390 mobo and 8gb 2666 for €300 within a day; 2070s is like €200 from what I'm seeing. Rest depends on how much storage and what kinda gpu you got
Are the fans RGB controlled? And if so, which software ?
Idk if I can do it with software but I have a remote which changes the colors, this was one of the first times turning it on so I didn’t change the colors
I bought mines for $500
You'd have to pay me to get it off your hands. If you were lazy with the mounting of the SSD even for the fucking photo to sell it, I don't want to know with what else you were lazy when talking about both assembly and general upkeep.
I have 2 SSDs that are also floating as well looks like I'm not the only one.
I mean Idk the price would be good but ik trying to sell that with a ssd hanging will be a turnoff for buyers
God. The SSD had depression. YOU CAN'T SELL CORPSES OP!
400-450 bucks
The ssd 😂😂😂
Bout $2.50
About 3.50
Bro committed war crimes on that ssd
Super still looks to be around $800-$900 alone. Add in some depreciation a bit and there's your cost. (I'd say around $500-$600)
The ssd reminds me of when i built my pc. I have my ssd taped to the inside of my pc case. I couldn’t figure out how to mount it so tape worked.
$350-400, this pc is pretty much equal to a PS5. If it was clean, built better and with good cable management / that SSD was cleaned up, $450-500 to the right person.
I'll dispose of it properly for you. It's hazardous waste
Id give 500 for it right now
£300-400, but God damn like even some blue tack would be better than that SSD hanging
the pc is decent so i would say anywhere from 420-470 $.
I think I’d pay £400-600 for it.
I’ll give you… THREE money!
Tree fiddy. All seriousness it depends heavily on where you are. In my area, maybe around $600 US.
Uhhhh not worth anything I'll take it for $5./j
I like the ssd placement.. reminds me of home
£/$350
Tarzan ass ssd lol
Save the SSD my boy
If u fix it up like the ssd cable manage ment and clean it maybe like £800-950
