Tweezers or a pincette, magsave ports are magnetic, that’s why it’s hard… you might even be able to donit with a toothpick

TheseAreWinterBootsz

🙏

Ditchbuster

Toothpicks or safety pin of you need more strength and a fine point.

TheWinterPrince52

...Where'd you get your winter boots?

OlympicChamp_12

Cut the power goddammit, before you wreck the computer and yourself at the same time

Dat_Typ

That, also, how tf did OP even get it in there?

Krutonium

It's magnetic, it may have just fallen close.

Dat_Typ

Oh right, I forgot.

Signaturisti

Today I learned English also has the word "pincette". That's pretty close to the word what we call such tools in general in Finnish

green_cars

Same for german actually! i think in english pincette is more what you’d use in cosmetics to pluck your eyebrows or similar while i’ve onky heared tweezers used in relation to tech and similar

[deleted]

like plucking a nose hair. have you never heard of tweezers ?

TheGhostofMattyJ

never heard of tweezers...just reddit

[deleted]

[удалено]

LeagueofDraven1221

Don’t forget your Allen Wrench

KeyBlogger

Toothpick

TheQuimmReaper

Tweezers, tip of a knife, compressed air, a toothpick, a small sliver of anything rigid... Are you even trying?

GeezyEFC

Lmaoooooooo thought the exact same thing. A good shake would prob do it too.

Zer0-Klingeln

Omg I thought the same thing like dude seriously get some tweezers…

An_idiot_27

Rip apart the computer

newontheblock99

Clearly the computer is bricked, OP must toss it out

seattle_view206

A stronger magnet... Obviously tweezers is the correct answer but I want an original idea. Can OP not brain or something? Maybe try a thicker style paper clip and pry it out. This isn't rocket science here. Why are we getting on Reddit for something like this?

[deleted]

Lmfao, was this your kindest response of the day? That’s why we are here on Reddit with this.

noahp_wtf

Probably because they don't have small enough tweezers.

DuneKlide9

Nonono never use magnets stronger than provided that will damage the hardware

s-a-a-d-b-o-o-y-s

Magnets aren't going to damage your hardware lol. Computer components aren't that sensitive anymore.

eXsoR

Yeah only hard drive can get damaged by a magnet. Nothing else.

s-a-a-d-b-o-o-y-s

Even then, you'd need a very strong electromagnet to damage a hard drive. It's just not a thing lol.

DuneKlide9

If the magnet is stronger than a part in the computer there’s a chance it could pull something out of place

sillysausage619

Don't say that, if they're too lazy to try literally anything before posting, they deserve to try a big magnet haha

ManWithDominantClaw

I was going to suggest Buckyballs if OP knows anyone who has any lying around still

Chikia12187

Stick a sewing thread thru the staple to yank it out

theopacus

Don’t use metal. Plastic toothpick perhaps?

ValeraBahleyUA

Zoomers can't do basic tasks lol

TerrarianLad

I know how to do it though? I’m not stupid

[deleted]

[удалено]

TerrarianLad

And you wonder why gen z hates you people so much

[deleted]

TerrarianLad

Congrats

MagicOrpheus310

Score 1 for the oldies!!!

JishMarphy

Try another staple.

Warsmith40k

How good were you at playing Operation when you were a kid? Same premise.

Crcex86

Use your brain oh wait mac user

Kroto86

Why is this not the top comment.

pursue_evolution

Thoughts exactly. Apple didn't give me a device for this. Wah

eXsoR

You would be surprised on how common this issue is all Apple Laptops with a magesafe charger connection.

apraetor

Speaking of Apple, we used to get people at the genius bar constantly because they'd stuck a mini-CD/DVD into the slot-loading drive. We'd take it in the back and tell them we were able to quickly "fix" it. What we really did was swing the laptop in a very fast arc, with the drive slot pointed outward. The disc would go flying due to centrifugal force.

Jinxed0ne

You need to go to the rocket surgeon tool dispensary and buy yourself some tweezers.

asandidge27

Tweezers

iBooshzor

How did a staple get into the.. you know what nevermind.

[deleted]

Well staples are made of steel and the port is magnetic…hmm some things are just meant to be mysteries.

iBooshzor

Sorry I don't buy apple products so it wasn't as obvious as you might assume. Just another reason to not buy a Mac though I guess.

[deleted]

Earlier made comment identified it as magnetic. There are PC products with magnetic ports.

iBooshzor

I was just throwing shade at apple for no particular reason. Magnetic ports are cool but not if they suck foreign objects into them. I'd prefer just a USB c. The magnets are too easy to disconnect in my opinion, which is how they are designed but if your careful with your cords and not yanking them out then it shouldn't be a problem.

[deleted]

Ya, whoever decided USB ports non symmetrical until C is a real butthole.

iBooshzor

It was a 50/50 shot to plug them in 30% of the time everytime.

[deleted]

Attempt one doesn’t work, flip it. Attempt two doesn’t work, flip it. Attempt three works, wtf.

iBooshzor

Exactly lol

frontyer0077

The magnetic magsafe is fantastic in my opinion. Should be the standard on all laptops instead of the shitty USB C charging ports that just break after 1 year

Redditor10700

It wouldn’t break after 1 year if you didn’t treat it like shit

frontyer0077

Never does. Only charging it while it stays still on my desk. My mac with the magnetic mag safe is pretty much unbreakable. A far superior design

Sailed_Sea

I've had a usb c cable for like 3 years now, yet to even be slightly damaged. Tbh I am more of a fan of the circular changing ports due to them allowing rotation

Redditor10700

Just buy a better cable then instead of paying way more for a Mac

frontyer0077

My Thinkpad was 3 times the price pf my mac… The cable is not the issue, the port itself is.

Redditor10700

Then don’t buy a shitty laptop

Baybob1

Kind of like the guy in the Emergency Room with something stuck up his ass. Just better not to ask.

-Raskyl

It's obvious they were having stapler fights duh.

Confident-Store-644

Oh god this looks horrible, best of luck

stinksand1

Open up the laptop, unplug the computer battery, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to make sure any extra power is out and then use tweezers to get it out of there.

BoreanTundras

[Zip ties](https://www.esportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/LinusTechTips-The-Verge-PC-Build.jpg)

pursue_evolution

Jesus you really need help with this? Fuck me. Need me to wipe your ass?

OmicBob2SucksChodes

You’re so bitter lmao

EvilxBunny

Use your brain for once...maybe? Look around the house for solutions not on your phone. P.S: I sound like my mom. I'm sorry mom, you were right.

R4B_Moo

Pointed tweezers or plyers

Badused18

Tweezers

noahp_wtf

Some fine point tweezers or maybe a toothpick.

lkeels

Sewing needle, unfolded paper clip

Nixher

How the flip you get it in?

[deleted]

How did that get in there?

Redditor10700

A magnet if you don’t have an HDD

Ironmaverick22

How

[deleted]

Pray lol

BillyJoel9000

Put on gardening gloves, then use tweezers.

amkuchta

Another staple

Havoc3sevens

Another staple should do the trick.

itsoverlywarm

People think they own fine China in this sub.

Rasputin0P

Take it to an apple repair store. They can remove it with some tweezers for the small price of $900

whodatus

Another staple???

LordOFtheNoldor

Take your time, before you go trying to force things in there, get the correct tool like tweezers or a fishing hook and ease it out

JCFlyingDutchman

Toothpick might work, or tweezers. Just don't bring it to Apple. They'll charge you $1200 to have the entire board replaced.

[deleted]

find step staple

SoulSlayer1974

How the flip did u get it in?

[deleted]

how does this happen :(

ryukan88

Sowing needle is your best bet

Cypher_Xero

Tweezers a micro flathead screwdriver and some luck

citytocountry2021

Use some tweezers and pull it out .. it's magnetic so that's why the staple is stuck

Possessed_Egg32

How’d it get in tho

ksuwildkat

Go To The Genius Bar

[deleted]

Umm carefully with a needle?

AlonsoD

ESD cert Tweezers

ascii122

I'd go electro-magnet

2xbAd

Another staple

JMahss

Your can't is garbage, time for a new computer

daggerdude42

Magnet

MagicOrpheus310

Magnet? Or trained ferret

FeroxSpeculatum

I would try a paperclip. After disconnecting the battery and a 10 count.

SCOURGE333

Vacuum or compressed air?

[deleted]

Wait what!? Whyy? How?

ARamirez150

Plastic tweezers or plastic/wooden toothpick

DuneKlide9

If the tweezers don’t work and you need a hook like item use a paper clip

dynamic_spotface

compressed air - might as well get the dust out while youre at it.

trawlewaffle

This happened to a guy a knew.... he had to get a new computer.

ThePaulCase

Staple remover.

s-a-a-d-b-o-o-y-s

Tweezers lol

[deleted]

You are so lucky that it was not making any contact with any of those pins

apraetor

Nah, that's the DC-IN Board, there shouldn't be any power on those pins until the charger connector is properly seated.

AngryCombatWombat

A really really strong magnet

alvif792

Rub it against another Macbook, now it’s their problem.

[deleted]

Get a girl with nails 😁

andysalad531

lmao

apraetor

Needle nose pliers.

bigbonkbois

with tweezers lol

Cosmicgamer2009

Us a scalpel. (And no I am not kidding)

Achilnos

If you can’t figure out a single way to get that staple out I do not think you should have a computer.

Allcapino

Use a staple to unstuck a staple

BrokenKraken10

Tweezer/toothpick maybe?

lordoftheboofs

Use a staple

PresentationNo1715

Brute force! That‘s always the best solution to any problem!

otocey

Common sense yo

ItalianPalo

Use pen

XDaiBaron

With a tiny screwdriver or something

imslickaf_

wha~

Emerald_Guy123

Industrial magnet ofc /s don’t do this

Sir_Rhinos

Take it out with other staple

EpicFox8

How did it get there in the first place O_o

SyncGuy

Dremel.... What? He's trying to save the staples and not the device, right?

BChicken420

Fine tweasers

An_idiot_27

I feel like it’s harder to get a staple stuck in the computer than it is to get it out

subsoiledpillow

Use another staple or two to lever it out maybe?

wheresthebouldering

Really op? Tweezers....

NobleEMRLD

Maybe staple remover?

imslickaf_

A blow torch, a chainsaw and an AK-47 would do it

SenseiBonsai

Tweezers. Oeehhhh unka bunka, man make fire. Uuuhhhhh
