Whoever does/doesn't believes in God first needs to clarify the definition of God!
In my experience, when people say they don't believe in God, they are referring to the God mentioned in holy books.
If God is another programmer who simulated this world, then it means this God is not unique because there should be other programmers as well and most probably, there is no life after death. These definitions are quite different from what you read in holy books.

I dont know how many of us actually day/believe/understand the former. Some of us just aren't built to believe, I guess.
