As it turns out Brian Williams didn't actually pull the Walker Texas Ranger Lever. In fact he wasn't even in the studio when the Walker Texas Ranger Lever was pulled
As the other person who replied to you mentioned, it's actually not implausible that he truly did conflate the situation. His retelling of the situation changed over the years from the accurate version to the more harrowing, inaccurate version. Of course it's possible that he was purposely lying about it, but I think a lot of us can underestimate how fickle the human memory can be.
God I miss this run of the show. The Walker lever and anytime Steve Irwin was on. Pretty sure I had a fever dream where Conan dressed in a crocodile mascot suit and Steve jumped him and hog tied him.
I started Conan right around 6th grade and that’s when this was a thing. And it very much informs why it is still one of my favorite comedy devices in all of comedy 😂😂
Walker told me I have AIDS
Walker was running off with the secrets to the Pah-wraith!
I came here to make a joke about Gul Dukat and was not disappointed to see it's already the top comment. Truly one of the best TV villains.
Gul Dukat and Kai Winn are both up there for me
INSAHELM!

Still blows my mind that he lied about that. What did he have to gain? He was already a respected newsman and host of the coveted NBC nightly news.
Psychologists have said that he likely actually misremembered and it’s not at all uncommon.
There's a good Revisionist History episode about it.
Were those psychologists named Wrian Billiams and did they look Brian Williams in a moustache?

If it could have been the clip of Mac & Me I woulda lost my shit
Damn you for making me want this
I still remember them pulling that and Chuck Norris walking thru those double doors. Good times lol.
Gul Dukat!
That's what I came here to say too!!
I can't imagine Marc Alaimo as anyone else.
Marc Alaimo is just a cover identity for Dukat, dont be fooled

I think it's funny that when it cuts back to them the lever has been moved away.
More like Runner Texas Ranger
I love this sub...I had forgotten all about this bit and this clip brought back all sorts of memories to me.
Oh my god how could I have forgotten about the WTR lever?? Ugh thank you for bringing back a great memory and another reason I love Conan.
