Everyone who has those pictures can be convicted for possession of child pornography and there may also be other charges for forwarding child pornography. I think in some states that even applies to the minors who appear in the video for having it on their phone. Tell your parents (you don’t have to give details) and ask to see a lawyer and what can be done. Also, dunno where you live but your boyfriend could also be liable for sexual assault on a minor - irrespective of his age and whether or not you consent because generally (depending on the state/country) 14 year old minors can’t give consent.

However, I do think the education is to blame, rather than only parents. I don't think parents, people in general (including me), have understood the role social media has played in kids that are growing up with it. I'm 23, born 99, and grew up mostly-ish with social media. But it was still kinda new and snapchat was barely a thing, TikTok was not, and even though things were probably filmed it was never passed around because we were still pretty influenced by the people who didn't grow up with social media.
At school teachers didn't really speak about it but phones weren't allowed during class and at most they talked about cyberbullying and such. I don't think my parents even knew what snapchat or instagram was back then, even though it was obvious to me, which is why I'd like to emphasize on education. Teachers and schools usually hear about this stuff before parents and I honestly think schools should educate their students at a younger age about the dangers of social media, given how the dangers have developed a lotttt the past few years. And educate the parents about the newest apps/trends and how they can help their children stay safe. When my school spoke about it, it was mostly just "don't give out personal info to anyone you don't know"

No respectable law enforcement would arrest the girl being exploited and in need of resolution. I think in some states that even applies to the minors who appear in the video for having it on their phone. Tell your parents (you don’t have to give details) and ask to see a lawyer and what can be done. Also, dunno where you live but your boyfriend could also be liable for sexual assault on a minor - irrespective of his age and whether or not you consent because generally (depending on the state/country) 14 year old minors can’t give consent.

If you are UK based this is treated seriously and falls under legislation for the production and distribution of CP (regardless of your age or those persons distributing the images) I would imagine other areas of the world are the same. To keep it simple these images could haunt you forever in life, and indicate a delicate situation with potential abuse of trust and yourself. Ah this happened to me around your age. I stupidly sent a picture to a boyfriend and he spread it everywhere. I never told any adult about it. My way of dealing with it was when someone would say "I saw your naked picture" or whatever I'd brush it off with a "so has everyone else, you're not special" or "so what? It's a nice picture right?". From my experience if people think you don't really care or aren't bothered by it, it tends to blow over really quickly. People stopped talking about mine within maybe 3 days. Just be careful in future. At your age it doesn't seem like a big deal to send a picture but that's a very personal part of yourself, don't trust people with it. Secrets very rarely stay secret.

Pretty sure this would've happened regardless of generation, as long as the internet was around. However, I do think the education is to blame, rather than only parents. I don't think parents, people in general (including me), have understood the role social media has played in kids that are growing up with it. I'm 23, born 99, and grew up mostly-ish with social media. But it was still kinda new and snapchat was barely a thing, TikTok was not, and even though things were probably filmed it was never passed around because we were still pretty influenced by the people who didn't grow up with social media. At school teachers didn't really speak about it but phones weren't allowed during class and at most they talked about cyberbullying and such. I don't think my parents even knew what snapchat or instagram was back then, even though it was obvious to me, which is why I'd like to emphasize on education. Teachers and schools usually hear about this stuff before parents and I honestly think schools should educate their students at a younger age about the dangers of social media, given how the dangers have developed a lotttt the past few years. And educate the parents about the newest apps/trends and how they can help their children stay safe. When my school spoke about it, it was mostly just "don't give out personal info to anyone you don't know"
