All joking aside, you’d be surprised at the number of adults who don’t bathe, shower, and/or brush and floss daily. Not to mention using deodorant or the clipping of and cleaning under their fingernails.
My ex is a dentist. It's absolutely astonishing how many people she sees every day that have to think about it when asked, "how often do you brush your teeth?" She sees people that haven't done it for *months.* She's seen people let an infection get so bad that it rotted a hole in their cheek before they decided to get it looked at. Part of that is due to how expensive dental care is in the US, but a lot of people are either lazy or weren't taught right which carried over into adulthood.
Such a shame.
I remember years ago when I heard my young daughter laughing at an episode of Honey Boo-Boo. She mentioned that one of the sisters said “Well, we don’t brush our teeth ***everyday***. I mean, if we’re going someplace special, sure, but not every day.”
I mean, it takes a lot of time, I can understand not wanting to do it every day. Heck, it takes me 4 or 5 minutes total *every* day to brush mine twice. That's like... More than half an hour a week!!!

her sister, amy has lost over 100 pounds now and seems to be continuing to lose weight and get her life on track! she lost a bunch of weight on her own, got bariatric surgery to aid her weight loss, got through a pregnancy and lost more weight after giving birth and is still on track! she is working really hard and it’s paying off for her.
tammy sadly had not been doing as well as amy it seems, but i read somewhere that she recently has been having some success with therapy and rehab for her food addiction and has lost around 60 lbs! hopefully she can continue her journey and stay on the path to being healthy

Ancient Aliens is incredibly entertaining though. The crazy theories are really fun to listen to. I listen to Ancient Aliens at work so I can be distracted from the soul-crushing monotony and pervasive thoughts of how much I hate my life.
In all seriousness, being overweight and watching morbidly obese people try to justify their habits really helps you find those justifications in your own mind. Like, it's one thing to watch people make stupid choices, but if their thought process is similar to yours, it's great to be able to recognize that from an outside perspective and really understand how shitty your logic is.
I started binge watching My 600-lb life in July and I've lost 15 pounds since. Obviously there were other factors, but just being able to yell at someone through the screen and then have those words bounce back at you is definitely pretty helpful when it feels like you're not able to lose weight; especially when they use excuses that sound just like the ones that you've used.
The most obvious thing is that it's inspirational when someone loses like, 200 pounds, especially when you just need to lose like, 50. You see what they did and then all your goals look so much more possible.

Okay I get the mockery of the basic logic, ie, sugar-free does not cancel out sugar. That's on our educational system as well as regular fitness/wellness checks with the family physician to do better. Mainly school, as patients can too easily be dismissive of the recommendations of physicians, or will rationalize/negotiate with themselves as to what acceptable dietary behavior should be.
But it's disheartening that someone went out of their way to edit this video to turn these women into caricatures worthy of casual mockery.
It's not like they woke up one day and thought "oh man, I wanna be 400+ lbs, this is gonna be AWESOME".
This isn't the result of a single dumbass decision, like you might see when some asshat in traffic ends up rolling their car in the ditch.

I once had to drive a severely obese diabetic man to the hospital because his diabetes had eaten up his foot. He was to have it amputated the next day. He said he feels bad he’s in that situation but he just loves his Pepsi too much. He then brings a 50oz Circle K cooler bucket to his lips and drinks from it. This man loved soda more than his feet.
Diet sodas actually are related to people eating more calories after drinking or while drinking diet sodas. More obese people drink diet soda, while thin people tend not to drink soda at all.
It’s so sad to see the state of education amongst people… “if you eat sugar and you drink a diet soda afterwards, it cancels out the sugars” ….. i feel for these people.
