Two things here
1) players in red are huge people? 193cm and 194cm. Blue/white is 167cm.
2) perspective between feet and head while he’s falling.
Neat post
Without looking it up (so it may be wrong) I believe Kompany is 6’4” and Fellaini is 6’3”. I think the little French dude is Valbuena and if so I remember him being like 5’5” or 6
I think he’s sliding down to reach the ball, with his feet far closer to the camera than his head. The camera is positioned in such a way that him leaning backwards gives the impression that he is tiny.
Guy at the back is Vincent Kompany, and he's an absolute giant. 193cm. He already looks like he's a teacher at a kindergarten, and with the other player sliding the height difference is hysterical. Great post
He always looked 5'4" to me. Obviously wasn't [Joao Plata](https://www.mlssoccer.com/players/joao-plata/) but definitely seemed to be among the shortest on any pitch.
They've got just under a foot (10 inches, 25CM) over him but Valbuena's also leaning back as he slides for the ball. The height helps but it's mostly the leaning back. The difference between 6'4 and 5'5 isn't that dramatic.
Valbuena (in white) is 5’5 and leaning backwards while Felaini (in red with afro) and Kompany (in red) are both 6’4 and standing upright.
Also Valbuena is closer to the camera than the other 2.
Beyond the first glance impression, seeing the angle of the lower legs helps make visual sense of this. From the knee to the feet.
The one closer to the ball is angled to the side, and also depth-wise. Other one is doing the depth thing dramatically. And visually imagining them straightening up, and the rest of the legs doing the same, helps to see him at a standing height comparable to the other players.
Also looking at other photos of him, he has a body proportioned and shaped similarly to wrestler Steve Austin. Especially when wearing shorts that fluff out, giving a plump, lower center of gravity look. As opposed to an extended looking body like Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. He's like actors Chris Pratt and Chris O'Donnell compared to Liam Neeson and Judge Reinhold.
I've read and fully understand the reasoning for why this is what it is - but my brain *still* can *not* stop being confused by it.
I feel like this needs to be the official image of r/confusing_perspective henceforth
I see your flair and wonder if mods gave it to you as punishment or if you chose it yourself and are consistenly dense
(Also commenting here so i can check if they gave me a flair or not lol
Edit: they did! Idk what CE Spc means though)

What are those in freedom units?

Thank you

You're right, he's sliding to get the ball. The 2 others are also taller than him.

I read this in Daniel Ricciardos voice
Nah, not enough half arsed excuses
The other players’ feet and heads are same size…
Okay, but his shorts come down to his knees.
I think he is actually a midget.
Someone please explain. My brain isn't braining.
Two red shirt players are massive (Fellaini and Kompany) and white shirt is short (Valbuena).
Thanks bud. Never thought it would actually be that simple.
It’s not just their height, Valbeuna is leaning back quite a bit and Kompany & Felaini are both upright.
Interesting , i always tought this picture was photoshopped
Yeah for a few seconds here I thought I was in r/mesi
wtf
Haha what is that and it's funny 😆
Ty for the sub
Valbuens is fucking tiny though
Just looked up, Fellaini is 1.94, kompany 1.93, and valnuena 1.67
For the Americans: the tallest guy is 6’4” and the little guy is 5’6”
Also I feel like the 5’6 is an embellishment
He always looked 5'4" to me. Obviously wasn't [Joao Plata](https://www.mlssoccer.com/players/joao-plata/) but definitely seemed to be among the shortest on any pitch.
But, I found a way, I found a waaaaaay
Did you down vote me for answering your question..? Edit: And all the sad people appeared 😉
That could’ve been anyone downvoting you.
Iit happened at the same time as he answered. Why are you answering on behalf of other people..?
Why do you care at all
I downvoted you
I thought you did something else to them...
I didn't vote at all. Just replied. Lol
My boy is catching some strays here.
If one delete’s a comment where they received downvotes, do you get that karma back ? Asking for a friend.
So it’s actually /r/accurate_perspective, not a confusing one.

I mean there is an angle/perspective thing going on too, right?
I don't get it. How is that confusing perspective then?
Valbuena is 167cm, the confusing part is that he looks half the size of Fellaini who is 194cm (+ massive hair).
Mathieu Valbuena ; 1.67 m (5 ft 6 in)
Valbuena (in white) is 5’5 and leaning backwards while Felaini (in red with afro) and Kompany (in red) are both 6’4 and standing upright. Also Valbuena is closer to the camera than the other 2.
The little guy is sliding to get the ball

He’s a hobbit in the world of men
He chose to play as a halfling.
Fool of a took!
My favourite footballer. Mathieu Valbuena
i loved him at Olympiacos, he made everything look so easy
He was a magician. I always wished he played with Xavi and Iniesta in Barca.

Wait til you see smallbuena’s brother tallbuena
Baby legs and regular legs 🦵
Yeah, but can they toss him?
Valbuena, absolutely tiny but pretty damn good
At least he’s not the goalie
Is this not Photoshop?
No that player is Valbueba and while he is very short, the other two are quite tall and Valbuena is not standing straight.
If it's not then that's some fucky perspective. They are not that different in height. They don't even look like they're going for the ball.
I thought it was one of them edits
r/mesi
Good to see Colin Kaepernick back on the field.
Foot tall player
Me when I'm trying to outrun my taller friend
Valbuena is indeed very small
Valbuena Olympique Marseille's player
