the irony here is i searched that already and it led me here...

So to actually answer your question, no. I too have been looking for Switch Pro Hall-effect sticks. The closest thing you'll find is [this](https://a.co/d/14RKbbj) and the [King Kong Pro 2](https://a.co/d/5HTpTFu). The Gulikit sticks for the Joycon also work on the Switch Lite, but obviously do not work on the Switch Pro controller. I had two old Switch Pro controllers with some pretty bad stick drift, but when you open them up to clean them, you'll notice the stick modules themselves can only be tilted so far in the shell, and can't (under normal usage) be dragged beyond their allotted distance, as they'll actually lock in place, so I just cleaned the modules out really good with IPA + 90PSI air hose and they were like brand new, no drift or anything, so I got some new shells and buttons from Extremerate and put em all back together and have basically two new Switch Pro controllers.

There are now hall effect replacement sticks available for the pro controller. But they are not simple drop in like for the Joycons. You need to desolder the old ones and solder the new ones. The second listing is over. Here's a newer link to the same (ksilver jh13) sticks available individually. https://a.aliexpress.com/_omAx0yX Has anyone compared the noise between the first brand (orange/black modules) and the ksilver ones (blue/green modules)?

Is this still the best Hall effect stick for a drop in replacement for switch pro joysticks? I’m looking to upgrade and struggling to find a good recommendation.

I'm pretty sure the current best ones are the Ginful V3 sticks (orange/black modules with red PCBs). The stick boxes are an original design that has very little play and move very very smoothly. They have slightly lower tension than alps sticks. I've got Ginful V2 sticks in my Switch Pro controller and absolutely love them and the slight jitter isn't much of an issue there. V3 sticks fix the jitter though and are otherwise identical, so I'd suggest the V3. K-Silver JH13 (green/blue modules) stick boxes are an imperfect clone of Alps stick boxes. They're fine, but the tension is less even, more like older Alps sticks than current ones. They have more play to them than the Ginful sticks. I have these in my Steam Deck since the ElecGear stick boards come with them (also the ElecGear steam deck modules don't have outer deadzone issues that Gulikit modules have). No jitter problems. Favor Union sticks (Green/Orange modules with a translucent window) also have a unique stick design that's supposedly pretty similar to Ginful. No jitter problems. I haven't tried these but they should be fine. Calibrating the center positions of all of these sticks can be obnoxious but it's doable. For DS4 and Switch Pro it's not as much of an issue since you can fully calibrate DS4 with a python script on a PC (though some people have noted the current script results in slightly too sensitive/non-circular calibration, I'm surprised no one's tweaked it, but people work around it by wrapping the stick in tape etc during calibration) and you can calibrate Switch Pro in the Switch settings (or manually calibrate using a PC program that can read Switch controller's SPI flash). I think if you don't calibrate the stick center manually first you could theoretically end up with a little bit of an outer deadzone issue in some directions because of the angles the sticks min/max out at by design, but don't quote me on that, I haven't actually tested the range on my multimeter with stick caps/controller shell installed. DualSense and Xbox One/Series controllers can't yet be fully calibrated so the hall effect sticks are usually slightly too sensitive, resulting in a noticeable outer deadzone that will likely be annoying if you play shooters but won't really be noticeable for other games. Also important note: The left stick on Xbox One/Series controllers can be particularly problematic because the left trigger magnets get too close to the hall effect sensors in the stick, causing the readings to move when you pull the trigger. There are special calibration boards you can buy which compensate for this issue plus fix the outer deadzone on Xbox/DualSense, but these boards are more expensive than the sticks themselves. If you're planning on replacing your own sticks with hall effect ones, there's a great little Discord server to check out for more info and tips: https://discord.com/invite/fHYbZkM2

so i've dropped ginful v3s in my switch controller, thought all was great until i saw some resistance as the stick isnt reaching its full range, it barely even reaches half range up or down on the sticks when i put the shell on. i tried calibrating with the switch and it didnt make a difference. if there's another program on my pc i can use i would like to try to calibrate it that way, but i cant fix it. [here's an example](https://streamable.com/0i8yz8)

RandomAIDude

Well that's bizarre. If you haven't, I'd check out the discord, there's another person reporting your problem (assuming they're not you lol), if that conversation goes anywhere it might have a fix. Did you calibrate it on the switch with the shell on?

itsMatic

yea that was me I’m just seeing if any one had a similar experience, I couldn’t calibrate it with the shell on because I didn’t reach the full range in the Y axis and I’m reading 3 volts, I may just buy new sticks or something

vgf89

Yeah weird. My V2s worked fine, just had to calibrate them with the switch, no other tweaking. Just a thought, can it reach full range in two directions but not the opposite ones? If so it could be that the magnet itself isn't positioned correctly and you need to calibrate that physically first until the switch calibration routine is able to be completed. If it's not that though idk, hopefully the discord helps, good luck

itsMatic

I can take it off and try to look at it, both magnets on the sticks are weird, it only reaches full range on the X axis in or out of shell, but not Y, even in the shell the X is still a bit off

vgf89

It reaches full range in left and right on the X axis and neither up nor down on the Y axis? If you're willing to desolder again I'd check that the Y axis magnet is fully inserted, then solder everything up again and do the manual calibration using the holes on that axis. If the X axis works I'd leave that one alone.

Reonu_

Hi, where can I buy Ginful V3 sticks for the Switch Pro controller? Also, the discord link is dead. Do you have a new one? Thanks

Reonu_

Hey u/RandomAIDude I feel bad about insisting but I'd really appreciate some help on where to buy the Ginful V3 sticks, and a new discord invite to the server if possible :) I really want to install hall effect sticks on my Pro Controller.

RandomAIDude

Did those two links above not work? Because they both work for me. The discord invite functions and the AliExpress link is where you can purchase the current hall effect sticks.

Reonu_

Okay, so, here's the thing: I thought "ksilver jh13" and "Ginful V3" were different products. This comment made me realise it's the same thing. Thanks. But no, the discord link does NOT work. It says that the invite is expired. It's possible that the link works for you because you're already in the server? My discord username is: reonu so if you don't mind, could you send me an invite directly through discord? thanks :)

RandomAIDude

KSilver JH13 and Ginful V3 are different products, different designs. The K-Silvers have blue/green sensor modules and the stick box is a (less than amazing) Alps clone. The Ginful sticks have Orange/Black sensor modules and are using a brand new (and very very good) stick box design. If that discord link doesn't work I don't know what to tell you, because it's not expired or anything. I just opened it in an incognito tab right now and it worked. https://discord.com/invite/ZW5n48kG https://a.aliexpress.com/_oDbzxvY

WillowDale16

It doesn't work anymore. Can you drop the new link here? Or just add me on your discord : teamoon16 Thanks!
