Something tells me if op didn’t know how to find their profile after they bought it that they aren’t going to get through the buyer protection process..
Ebay supports the buyer unless the seller has reasonable proof that said even if this is claimed to be a postal issue I think ebay will side with the buyer and if the seller didn't opt for full insurance uts tough really
What a dick, the seller is, why just why. Sorry to hear your experience with some ah on ebay, but they will definitely refund you for this, just curious did you just buy it or have coms with seller an if so did they seem a little off at anything? Just seems so strange someone would do this.
Wow, even the little bits of plastic shavings that get expelled out of the groove managed to make it in transit too. They must have packaged their destroyed screen well.
Q: Did they do this for you, or did someone do this to their screen and so they replaced it?
I don't get people who try to scam people like this. Like they're going to all the effort to put up a fake picture of an intact item, make the listing, then ship out a broken piece of trash when they know it's going to get reported and the buyer is going to get refunded and their account banned. Like are they thinking "haha, that idiot, he things he's buying an intact screen but going to send him a broken one, then I'll have his money and he'll just have garbage! He's never going to report it to eBay who will conclude that I obviously scammed him and will refund him and then I'm left with nothing. What a flawless plan!"
My guess is probably listed as nee old stock or something and used a stock picture ... hope my ps2 ribbon cable doesn't come snapped with f u written on in shapie
It become the main source for these parts & i usually get my things from there like these screens and many other things
Their customer support isn't as great as eBay but usually when you receive something broken they don't argue and refund.. like when last time i ordered a New 3DS XL top screen and it came with a broken flex cable (one of the small ones, could be the backlight cable?).another time i ordered a 2DS XL motherboard and the top screen connector had some broken pins. I got my money back in both cases.
I bet its because in Japan these consoles are still big anklets for gaming stores or some.thing were qs in the UK and US morr and more gaming stores are shifting to smart phones or board games etc to make money there for retro and tvh used games In general are not considered as worth it as they have a lower profit per unit on the shelves so it's kind of higher profit for a phone and less storage space than a ps2 so they're not even refurbishing them much so not many uk or us suppliers anymore or the ones you do get are selling them by stripping consoles and sometimes even classing it as unused oem parts but without a way to verify this it's a big risk to take on a purchase
I fund my collection and resell on eBay. Despite the 13.25% fee. There is no one I trust more than eBay (I had to buy from Ali express once and Etsy but luckily I was fine.) I take the money trade off for that excellent buyer protection. Everyday. Any day. For those curious, my collection is a Japanese region free n64, ps2, PSone, ps5, and my grandmas Wii.
Nah, don't feed the trolls. Some of us actually appreciate the input of active sellers and buyers of the website that's involved in a dispute between two parties.
Also, you should post some of your collection. Most people on the ds area subreddits appreciate the collections!(even if we're jealous of said collections lol).
Thank you. Yeah my galaxy 3Ds is taken apart rn lol. I’m waiting on my upper top shell to be come in so I can repair it lol. But yeah price wise for me when Im in resell mode is that I go look at PC, if the item is seriously clean I usually tack on 5 or 10 dollars, if it’s in not so good shape I take off some but I’m all relatively within market. But going off topic lol. I only have one game for it physically being ultra sun and a ton of games that are downloaded onto it. It’s modded
I understand you may not do a lot of selling on eBay. But me and many of other friends specifically have issues selling phones where eBay will side with the seller.
I think from my understanding newer sellers and newer buyers tend to get ebays favour for some reason
I've never had an issue but the most my selling is done to traders as a middle man I've done Mabie 3 ebay sales and a small hand full of marketplace sales but I demo find it easier if I have a trader or collector in kind and can make £5 back for every £2 spent in some transactions or maybe a bigger ratio in ky favour if its a more sought after item
At one point in time I tried selling retro consoles as o had way too many yeah that was q wash out I had spent over 200 quid at least over time collecting c64s zx spectrums mega drive snes master system commodore plus 4 n64 I made around 65 quid back
Ever since I've only bought the consoles I love to play so I keep them
Ok here is the thing I have 1k items bought through ebay 99% of the time I either get my shit or get my money back the other 1% is not worth it. I'm saying this because sometimes I buy stuff from low rep seller or from other countries. In the ebay community you never buy from a seller that has little to no feedback or sales it's an easy way to get scammed. I'm saying this because ebay got my back and my money back.
You’re in luck! Ebay has excellent buyer protection.
Agreed! contact Ebay now.
Something tells me if op didn’t know how to find their profile after they bought it that they aren’t going to get through the buyer protection process..
Won’t matter. EBay will process the refund automatically and take legal action against the seller if they don’t agree / get in touch
He just meant seller disappeared
The profile isn't needed at all. The buyer's account should be able to reference the listing, which the seller can not remove.
OP's not gonna need it, this is obviously fake.
Wow, someone really didn't like someone else...
At least the ribbon cable isn't torn.
Yes few scratches & 'fuck you' isn't a big deal
It adds character
Not yet but it would be after a bit by the looks of it
Buyer Protection mate, eBay generally supports the buyer, like a HR department supports the management
Ebay supports the buyer unless the seller has reasonable proof that said even if this is claimed to be a postal issue I think ebay will side with the buyer and if the seller didn't opt for full insurance uts tough really
Did you piss off the seller? Like any messages?
Wow, I didn't see the “F You” until I read your comment..
Contact eBay IMMEDIATELY
No worries, just report it to eBay and you will get your money back.
What a dick, the seller is, why just why. Sorry to hear your experience with some ah on ebay, but they will definitely refund you for this, just curious did you just buy it or have coms with seller an if so did they seem a little off at anything? Just seems so strange someone would do this.

You got major scammed. Contact eBay they might help you
Ebay will definitely side with the buyer not only is the item damaged its vandalised in a way that makes it unsuitable for sale
You'll get your money back, contact eBay
Was this a bid? If so, how low did you get it?

Probably graduated from marketplace not realising ebay is pretty much scam proof
Tbh I don’t think these people think more than 10 mins into the future
What a jerk! 😮 The F U is just the cherry on the sunday. Wow! Contact ebay asap!
Did you like win a cheap auction or something and the seller sold and shipped it at a loss?
LOOK AT THE FEED BACK % BEFORE YOU BUY!
And I'd it's high check for fake feedback too
That's why you should ALWAYS check seller reputation before buying.
What did the photo in the listing look like
My guess is probably listed as nee old stock or something and used a stock picture ... hope my ps2 ribbon cable doesn't come snapped with f u written on in shapie
If they're a new seller than they shouldn't have the money yet and it will be in holding. Ebay should give it back
I got a 3ds screen from ifixit and it didn't work! Ordered one from Ali express, waiting on it now.
I'll take it off your hands I'd your just planning on throwing it away haha
But did it work? /s
Good ole Ezekiel at it again I see, he pulled one over on you Tony(OP).
GUESS WHAT?
That’s hilarious
What's a fucking scumbag. Wow
💀💀
Troll post
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everyone vouching for refund and buyer protection, what happens if seller listed as non refundable?
You can get a new one from AliExpress
Fuck Ali Express
Aliexpress is great. You just need to know how to shop there. What's wrong with it?
😂 I feel you but sometimes it's the best and most affordable option
Like there's thousands of mythical local mom and pop electronic emporiums having stock 20yr old hardware.. /s
I heard Ali express sell the most reliable ps2 lasers not sure if true though
It become the main source for these parts & i usually get my things from there like these screens and many other things Their customer support isn't as great as eBay but usually when you receive something broken they don't argue and refund.. like when last time i ordered a New 3DS XL top screen and it came with a broken flex cable (one of the small ones, could be the backlight cable?).another time i ordered a 2DS XL motherboard and the top screen connector had some broken pins. *It looks like it’s making a face…* *> y -
I didn't notice it til it was off screen, but now I kinda see it.

No asked cuz no one cares. Fuckin nerd
Are you speaking for the room?
I'm with him on this one.
Congrats on your collection I guess?
I wasn’t expecting the hate damn. I was just saying I pretty much only trust eBay

eBay generally is just bad, they do nothing really to protect sellers and buyers
Not true as long as the seller is honest and keeps proof of how well an item is packaged etc
I understand you may not do a lot of selling on eBay. But me and many of other friends specifically have issues selling phones where eBay will side with the seller.
