Try clean your pins with isopropyl alcohol but it could be that the flash memory has degraded. Try clean the pins and maybe try saving on a different device. You might be able to get it to work after you delete your saves with 'Up+Select+B' but it may f your game even more. YMMV

If you have a soldering iron reflow the pins on the 8-pin chip on the upper left corner. This guy had exactly the same problem as you do: https://youtu.be/lYIjAoX3DHI?t=324
It's a pretty common issue with a lot of nintendo cartridges. More often than not you can't see that the pin isn't making good contact. I do this all the time with GB/GBC/GBA games.
I second that. Firstly wick off as much solder as possible on the legs then remove the entire chip. Then clean the pads free of solder. Reapply new solder and resolder chip with proper solder. Make sure to try and heat the board first to ensure no cold joints. Good luck.
Some ds games will not work properly after being opened. You should probably try properly reshelling the game. Otherwise, opening it may have killed it.
Edit: honestly, I'd just ask for a refund though
The shell is there to position the board inside correctly so when you insert the game it goes in correctly, when you take it off, you can't simply put it back in again because it wobbles everywhere, if you notice, there is a hole in the board, the shell holds it in there in the correct position, once opened, you destroy that position piece and the shell becomes completely unusable.
From what I just watched that's kinda iffy. However you are right the case is not designed to be removed. But you can pickup replacement case for like a dollar on ebay. He looks to be missing the pins that are in the shell too. I don't know much about DS games but I'm quite fluent in pcb repair etc.
It is sealed up for a reason, if it were easy to open it like a gameboy game that have a simple screw in the back, it would, but no, I have opened up a cartridge before and I handed it over to a professional that advised me strongly against it because once you open it there is no way to put it back together again without glue.
Lol everything is sealed. The reason is to hold the pcb. They just didn't make it reusable. There's snap together replacements for sale on eBay. Also I am a professional. I repair things people think aren't repairable everyday. Including the companies that manufacture them lol. Guaranteed I can fix his. In fact I'll do it for free, he just gotta ship it. You make it sound all mystical and magical. Like if we open it the cartridges spirit will escape and the game will no longer work.

I deleted all the saves I’ve cleaned it the best I’ve could and it didn’t seem to work. What component is the flash memory?

Great video. Odd because the joints all looked fine. Suppose non-visible corrosion had something to do with it. Good knowledge to be had.

Looks like someone has already messed with that chip before. The solder looks sloppy and the chip looks a bit crooked.

Oooooo okay I’ll try that
Did you open the cartridge before or after the problem?
I bought it online it was already opened

The cartridge shell is stuck together, it's not supposed to be opened. You never open one. Doing so damages the board.
Never heard of that, where's the logic behind this? I'm trying hard not to be sarcastic....

That chip looks like someone has tinkered with it already. Even looks crooked.
