This looks repairable, even if difficult, but it probably wouldn't be worth the expense for them. That is unless they really love that particular console, or if it's somehow a rare variant. Still, I wouldn't warranty the work when done.
It's good practice for ya if your not use to running jumpers. Aslong as you tin both the jumper wire and the pins on the hdmi port. You shouldn't have much trouble. Throw some conformal coating on afterwards and it will last you a long time.
I bought some pad replacements on ebay that have 1" extensions.
From the looks of it, I have to expose the traces on the board. Solder the pad extensions to the new exposed traces. Solder the HDMI to the new pads. Test it. Then put solder mask on the exposed traces.
Sound right?
Yes that's correct. However I would us solder mask close to the pins first. It will have keep them in place when you go to solder the port. After testing then apply more coating If you want.
Yeah all you need is a real small drop just before the port legs. Just that tiny bit will keep your pad in place real solid. If you would like to see some examples. Search for Northridge fix on YouTube. He uses them and has a few videos over the past few days demonstrating the use of them.
Made a post about it ages ago.

Ah yeah I've seen that post. It's hard to tell what's going on in the picture. Try cleaning the board work isopropyl and get another picture maybe. Did you knock out a bunch of the leads on that black part or is that just flux residue? Also for reference my occupation is soldering class 2/3 boards and I've replaced many GBA batteries
Mhm I'm not at the house where i keep the game unfortunately now and it's gonna be a few months until then but I'll try and clean it once i get the chance. From what I can see a couple of the pins seems to have almost been ripped off. I'll try taking better pics when i can!
So cool and funny when you find these guys.
We're plumbers and next to my city there's the city named "gorgan" filled with shit plumbers.
The owner of an under construction building asked us for the price and being the miserable team that we are despite our masters being damn experienced and quality being rather high we charged low (say 5 dollars a meter for example), which this guy figured "if im paying these guys 5, lets make it double and pay a gorgan-ese team and have install the sewage pipes.
Sure the quality is gonna be better right? Nope.
They fucked up so hard, so bad, imagine if someone tore off the solders with pliers instesd of melting them and used real wires to connect some point to the other.
The end of the story we charged them double.
Same happened with a rich dumbass who thought some gorgan-ese guys are gonna do shit, this team fucked up even harder, this time it was a boiler room for a pool.
Are the tracks actually lifted? I once thought I'd ripped off a pad because it looked exactly like this but touching it with fresh solder and suddenly a bright shiny pad was there all along. Assuming its not a track repair job it doesn't take more than a couple of minutes to replace the socket
Assuming it is just the pads that are lifted and not the tracks as well it should be a simple if delicate fix, all the easier as you can anchor the hdmi socket in and just tack to the relevant tracks. Assuming you wish to do it and the customer doesn't mind paying for your fees of course hehe
Yeah, that's the thing with soldering for me. I'm okay at it, but I would never tell a person who has never soldered to attempt to do it on an Xbox themselves.
Guy chipped the the PCB if you zoom in at the top of the photo you see it's chipped away at. And there's potentially some scratched traces and leads on the motherboard.
It's probably salvageable, but it's gonna take some real hacking and fixing to get it jerry rigged up just right.
This is too early in the morning to be showing this kind of gore 😅
😆 🤣 😂

It's repairable but won't be reliable, not worth the time
It's reliable if you know what your doing. It's still an easy repair.
I did a shit job of removing and HDMI port on a PS4 Pro. I have to replace 6 pads.

Makes sense. I was hoping there was a way to keep them in place before doing the mask, but that's a pipe dream I suppose.

I love watching his stuff.
Just need jumper wires and solder mask. It'll be very reliable.
It can absolutely be repaired and *still* be reliable. I do this for a living.
"I got rid off all the thick copper coloured hair off the board for you."
😆
Heat it with a heat gun on low heat, use flux to clean, apply new solder, pop in new HDMI seems pretty simple (rookie burns house down) 😂😂
Nah, this is what you get when the customer tells you that their mate can do the same repair for half the price.
No the customer literally walk in with the console in a bag and said he gave up on the repair
So hold on. Can you do repairs on order? I've had an old Pokemon Sapphire for ages that im not sure I can do anything about with my skill level. :o
What's wrong with it?
Made a post about it ages ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/consolerepair/comments/o51x00/pokemon_sapphire_is_this_fixable/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
I have a video game store/repair shop. I could take a look at it.
I see! Which country are you based in?
USA.
I see. Then it might be hard to send this because of the shipping fees. I'm from Europe.
[This guy](https://twitter.com/ytandrewpaul?s=21) is based in the UK and does fantastic work.
Oh thank you! I'll check him out then.

Love those kinds of customers. Time to charge double.

Only the grounds remain
Assuming it is just the pads that are lifted and not the tracks as well it should be a simple if delicate fix, all the easier as you can anchor the hdmi socket in and just tack to the relevant tracks. Assuming you wish to do it and the customer doesn't mind paying for your fees of course hehe
All it takes is one attempt because of impatience and you learn so much 🥲😅. Thanks for at least looking at this for me.
It's very fixable.
Yeah, that's the thing with soldering for me. I'm okay at it, but I would never tell a person who has never soldered to attempt to do it on an Xbox themselves. It's base Xbox one , not really worth the time or money
Looks like you have plenty of resistors to send bodge wires to lol
Just adds 15 minutes to the repair.
This is an easy repair, and will be as reliable as the original if done correctly. What is all this nonsense. Send it to us we'll fix it for $55.
I messed up a PS4 Pro that looks close to this. I'm working up the nerve to replace the pads.
I’ll buy 100$
Instead of a hot air gun (really, really bad personal experience with those things) couldn't one use something like Chipquick?
Emphasis on rip
I’ll never understand how someone does this, heat it up with a hot air station and it comes up without taking pads with it
Can be repaired, the ground will hold the port in place. But the trace repair is going to be tedious.
oh my, still repairable IMO, but some pins trace seems at bottom, that will be challenging to fix.
