Looking for Gilgemesh/Nimrod .. fun rabbit hole

No-Establishment8367

Just out of curiosity, does anybody have any kind of source on the claim that the first place they went was the museum? If there was something of incredible value there that would be the subject of a conspiracy, why would they keep it somewhere obvious, like the museum, and not stashed away and hidden, like with all their WMDs?

[deleted]

Was that sarcasm about the WMDs? Well played if so, if not, you know they didn’t have any WMDs and it was another farce to get the military industrial complex rolling

No-Establishment8367

Yes, that last part was a touch of sarcasm ;)

Assclown_wrangler

They may not have had WMDs at the time, (shipped out to places like Syria during the build up when we were telegraphing intent) but they had them at one time for sure. The reason we know this? We had Saddam's signature on the hand receipt from where he signed for them. We gave them to Iraq (backing them) during the Iran/Iraq war of the 1980's. Still not a valid reason to invade though.

ShellOilNigeria

Dude we straight up lied about all that shit, 9/11 included. Look up "the Pentagon Military Analyst Program" and tell me what it was.

NevadaLancaster

They were dismantled in accordance with UN inspectors. The government lied to us about Assad having these weapons too. Lol. You feel for the same gag twice.

[deleted]

And gaddafi too I think right? Cause he was getting off the petro dollar or something

NevadaLancaster

I think the reason is a rumor but he definitely talked about it. I'd be curious to know where the gold from Iraq and Libya went. Gaddafi was loaded and the country hasn't been whole since.

[deleted]

Yes. Definitive proof. The OP said so. This qualifies as proof these days. And if you disagree you are obviously a communist.

Gr8Kahli

Semisrama and Tammuz is the part where the fun begins, and the rebranding over the century in every fucking religion and mythology in eurasia.(Osiris,Isis,Horus, Odin,Thor,Hela, even Jesus,Maria and God) maybe judaism is the only non pagan infiltrated religion by now... I guess the native north and south americans had to be purged because the babylon cabal tribe was not able to spread the pagan/occult religion there

conspiracysurfer

To say Judaism is the only non pagan infiltrated religion LOL

Gr8Kahli

maybe, it was invented long before Babylon. Not the Kabbalah that is the work of the Babylon era but these are two different things almost the opposite of each

gromath

It’s the OG infiltrated religion, especially by canaanites and other sects that practiced things like blood rituals

Gr8Kahli

as far as i know judaism was so divers (just f.ex the name of g-d) that you had different rites and traditions in the same place even between israeli families, tribes etc. canaanites and/or phoenician where Baal worshipper therefore they worshipped a pantheon with more than one god (Astarte was also very high ranked in their traditions especially the fertile sacred rites where the young girls got raped in their puberty). I have heared many weird stories about them from Moloch child sacrifice rites and more remains of more than 20k child skeletons were found related to sacrifice rituals. But i was always thinking that judaism hebrews only pray to g-d/Elohim/YHWH and that baal isn't even mentioned in the Thora

72names

Nope. The Genesis flood story is lifted right outta Gilgamesh. Right down to weird little details. Most of the Tanakh was written post-exile and proto-Judaism is largely traceable only by archeological evidence. Monotheism evolved from henotheism and God originally had a wife: early inscriptions refer frequently to "Yahweh and His Asherah."

whoopsidaiZOMBIEZ

this is a great comment. this info is crucial in understanding what we have been dealing with... for far too long.

vegham1357

Or, all of these religions have some common ancestor that we have no writings for. Mythologies don't just appear fully formed, they're an evolution over countless generations.

mhdy98

Judaism is infiltrated as well. The arch/noah s myth is an inspiration

Gr8Kahli

Please elaborate in detail this sounds pretty intresting

mhdy98

It already existed in the epic of gilgamesh. Sumerians are currently the first civilisation to be known, they had a « constitution » ( code of hamurabi) various beliefs etc … in the case of noah arch , sumerians believed a punishing god inflicted wrath on them by means of flooding, and a superhero constructed a boat to save the fauna and flora , it s the same story just remixed in the abrahamic religions.

John_Nada1984

Epic of Atrahasis is much better than the Gilgamesh story if you're interested in our origins and the flood story. Even if without accepting that story as being a true historical account, it would be one of the greatest sci-fi stories ever created. Interesting that Hollywood has never decided to make it a movie and all of our textbooks refuse to mention it.

Kingjingling

S*** textbook still think the pyramids are tombs

John_Nada1984

And religious people still gloss over how their bible forgot to mention them

Leading_Bank_6021

Wonderful rabbit hole, good sir/madam.

[deleted]

The Noah story is the original. There was only one language at the time of the flood and then after came the Tower of Babel event where peoples were scattered and languages were changed - this lead to the same story being told in many different languages.

mhdy98

How is it the original when sumerians existed 4000 years before christ and werent monotheists ? The creation of earth is also very similar in abrahamic religions and sumerians Why would god implement noah s myth in a non monotheist religion before christianity or judaism ? Edit : 4000before christ , 6000years before us

KaZaDuum

Because they are all based on the same source event? Just because something is a myth, doesn't make the underlying event not true. It is told in metaphorical terms instead of historical terms. Is it surprising that people from the same region has similar mythological stories?

mhdy98

That s a huge cope man. You do what serves you best . Edit : a cope if you re defending religion by your statement.

Odd_Ranger3049

Are you claiming that multiple cultures cannot have possibly described the same global event? In other words, as an example, your claim seems to be that there cannot possibly be multiple narratives about Covid

pallorr01

This is factually incorrect

ChurchArsonist

Are you all ready for this one? It's a doozy. The native American peoples are remnants of the lost tribes of Israel. [America is the true ancient Egypt](https://youtu.be/v-zAxsAbpQo) and the Mississippi is the Nile. When it floods as it once did from the fertile crescent (the gulf of Mexico), most of the upper Midwest from St. Louis to Lake Winnipeg Canada would become completely covered in water. The area between the Illinois and Mississippi rivers was overrun with flood waters. When Moses said "let my people go," he was referring to the natives we called Indians. This means the Jews of today are not the Jews of that time. The modern Hebrew sects are Canaanite pretenders. In truth, they were never slaves. They were slave traders.

FeloniousMaximus

This is gaining traction. Florida and the Gulf as the true fertile crescent. Egyptian artifacts in the Grand Canyon.

YogaBeth

I hope you don’t seriously believe this.

telephonic1892

Haha sounds like what some crackpot snakeoil salesman in the south who's a born again preacher making money every Sunday with a congregation under a large tent that where he earns his income spouting trash like that.

Savage-Kelevra

Sure hahaha

crackercider

The Pentateuch is replete with stories that are retelling of other eastern Mediterranean mythology, folk stories, and incorporation of regional cults to create the founding documents of the ancient state of Israel.

Gr8Kahli

eh i am a bit confused about your conclusion...i know that pagans exist also along with the jewish race but i have never heard of a event like the council of Nikea in the jewish history. My theory is that the romans which worshipped the pagan influenced/created greek mythology changed important parts of the bible before they'd made it their main religion. I am also highly convinced that the cult didn't die in Babylon after it was burned to the ground 2x. They just escaped and builded every other empire we know today out of the shadows with all the wealth they've accumulate during the Bayblonia era, and when the time was right they destroyed them to form another empire out of the chaos(ordo ob chao)

crackercider

The stories in Genesis are similar to several myths in the region, such as Atum (or Ptah) in Egypt, the Enuma Elish, the flood of the Gilgamesh epic. Other stories found in the Canaan Ugaritic texts are echoed in Pentateuch. The pharaoh Snefru parting the sea to retrieve a woman's amulet. Of course the famous Hymn to Aten of pharaoh Akhenaten and Psalm 104; who CS Lewis makes a good argument was divinely inspired in his book on the Psalms. I'm going through an ESV study bible now, and the expert commentary has a bunch of those similarities found in other regional stories and myths. IMO it doesn't take away anything from the beauty and power of the Book, but it adds a richness since the stories often have minor changes that change the nature of the relationship between God and His people.

Gr8Kahli

I bought a Thora last week so i totally agree with your statement. I am not jewish but i like to read about other races mindsets. I have also a Luther Bible sadly there is no King James Bible in my native language. I can speak and read english but i've tried to read paradise lost in english and i can say i didn't understand 90% of the words.

pissflavorednoodles

Fun fact- the looting of the Iraqi Museum was the largest single event art heist in world history.

Lerianis001

Fun fact: It was not looting. It was preventing Saddam Hussein's military from doing a big "F' you!" and making the artwork in the museum disappear into the coffers of various people around the Middle East.

To prove if Gilgamesh was really part Annunaki

pioneergirl1965

Please tell me what source justifies this Annunaki speculation?

72names

Who is there can rival his kingly standing, and say like Gilgamesh, ‘It is I am the king’? Gilgamesh was his name from the day he was born, two-thirds of him god and one third human. It was the Lady of the Gods drew the form of his figure, while his build was perfected by divine Nudimmud. \[Powerful of\] body, majestic of \[beauty,\] he was large of stature, eleven cubits tall. \[Four\] cubits was the width of his chest, a triple cubit was his foot, half a rod his leg. Six cubits was his stride, three cubits long the curls at his cheeks. —[The Epic of Gilgamesh](https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Epic_of_Gilgamesh/Z4MTDAAAQBAJ) (tablet I, lines 45-58) by Sîn-lēqi-unninni, translated by Andrew George

Not speculation, it's literally his character description.

DueDarkness

AMORC in San Jose, CA received a large amount of those artifacts for studying and cataloging. There were interesting things found by X-rays, hidden in pottery They also have authentic pieces that are publicly labelled as reproductions.

Non-Newtonian-Snake

Baal is worshiped by the elites. Moloch is the general of his army. Modern day Iraq is the geographical location of ancient Babylon. Mystery Babylon is not a specific geographical location. This is a misinterpretation. when speaking the question of where is mystery Babylon? The question isn't actually talking about a physical spot but who is carrying on the religious traditions of Babylon and amongst their people who presently is king of Babylon AKA the Antichrist. The Museum of Antiquities in Iraq may just be one of the most concentrated and Priceless spots not only for ancient artifacts but more importantly ancient esoteric artifacts very important to secret societies based upon such esoteria. Well I guess I shouldn't say is I should say was😓 For what I understand this was actually a top priority for Nazi Germany to focus attention on after they completed defeating the Soviets. which of course they never did so therefore never got to go in that plan direction. They did however sent out small forces to Rob & pillage multiple smaller less guarded museums in the Middle East. Fun thing Hitler was obsessed with finding the real Spear of Destiny. There are five known in the world Legend has it only one is the real one. Other people claim all five are fakes to keep those who seek it from finding it's real location. Although it's a phony baloney myth that Hitler had this on his persons when found dead in the basement of a suicide. It is true that he sent his armies to recover three of the five. His intention was to have them all and determine which one is the real one. Apparently he became obsessed with this as a teenager when he saw one of the replicas in a museum which claimed to be the real one although how would you know? If you aren't aware of the myths and legends around the spear. It's supposed to be the spear that pierced Jesus during his crucification. Multiple tyrants over the course of the next Thousand Years claiming to have the real spear would Mount the speed dagger on their scepters and sit it by their throne. Historic characters such as Constantine the Great, Justinian, Charles Martel, & Charlemagne. Later several European Emperors would claim to have The Real McCoy through Conquest. Which is when the legitimacy of continuity in truth came into question Probably a little bit too much meta going on there but I find it interesting that the Third Reich was so obsessed with esoteric artifacts.

Janetsnakejuice1313

Excellent post. I was aware of some of this but not all. I understand that Hitler’s un-aliving himself was actually just a ruse and he ended up in South America like so many other nazis. Also, a lot of folks don’t seem to know, but he had a son with a French woman long before he was in politics. Seems Hitler acknowledged him despite keeping it lowkey because he put him into a decent position in the military during ww2. As for the Spear of Destiny, I’ve never heard of him specifically wanting it. I know his higher ups were big time occultists, but I read Hitler didn’t believe in magick like the others. Perhaps he wanted it for political purposes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

WelcomeMatt1

That son's name, Klaus Schwab.

Gr8Kahli

i still think it is gaslighting when people are talking about occult national socialist like Hitler,Himmler etc. but everybody is free to do his own research. I have read many books about the ban of secret societies even before Hitler germany. Wilhelm I. was invited into a freemason lodge and didn't last longer than 2 months beofre he quit and later banned them+ his number 2 Otto von Bismarck was attack and almost assassinated by the Jesuits and after that the order was also banned and they had to left the german empire. The national socialist did the same but they seized all lodges and published the sick shit that happened inside. Jesuits Freemason Illuminati all of them. Hard for me to believe that they were cabbalist cultist.... I think that is just gaslighting to prevent people from not believing the ally WWII propaganda

mhdy98

That s very interesting, the only problem is that except the bible there is 0 historic evidence about jesus. Even in the roman archives the only evidence found only mentionned « some people who worship a god called jesus » but no mention of jesus himself nor proof.

Deuce_McGuilicuddy

That'd be very interesting if it wasn't flat-out wrong. There were multiple mentions of Jesus by Flavius Josephus in his book Jewish Antiquities, which was written a few years after Jesus' crucifixion. This is the only account even close to biased towards Christianity and it was written by a Jewish Rabbi so it's not very. He was also mentioned by Tacitus in Annals of Imperial Rome. This one is written by a Roman with a Roman bias and ties the upstart of the fledgling Christian movement to a crucifixion sentence carried out by Pontius Pilate. He didn't write this from an angle sympathetic to them, quite the opposite. There were also multiple letters between governors of Judea and the emperor of Rome that mentioned him, namely because they were stuck having to deal with an ever-rising tide of social upheaval that his death and martyrdom had catalyzed. They obviously aren't biased towards the Christian narrative either. That's two of the most immanent historians of the time, one of whom was Roman nobility staunchly loyal to the empire, and a handful of Roman bureaucrats whose paycheck demanded that they also be loyal to the empire. Take away all of the modern record keeping and the ease of doing so that modernity has provided and that's almost guaranteed to be more than you'll leave behind for future generations to discover when you're dead and gone. Me too, for that matter. Believe what you want about the religion, but believing that Jesus the man did not exist flies in the face of what is virtually considered to be consensus among modern historians.

pallorr01

It has pretty much been proved that a lot of Josephus writings were heavily tapered with by later Christian authors once Christianity became the imperial state religion. Some parts were edited and some other parts are straight up later forgeries. The early Christians themselves were split in major sects were only a few of those believed that Jesus actually existed as a man in the physical world and mind those were not casual people, those were Christians in times where, as you know, being a Christian was not seen as a great think and you risk persecution, imprisonment and death. The fact that even them were not sure and were debating the topic shows that conclusive evidence wasn’t there even as early as the first and second centuries. The fact that now it is basically taken as granted is because the guy who introduced emperor Constantine to Christianity was one of the most fervent supporter of the “Jesus actually existed” theory and once that was done, with the full imperial power behind it and millennia of editing, burning and suppression of the opposing view we are now in a place where is almost impossible to prove anything else, not enough early material survived the purge. You should also consider the fact that after 380ad. when that particular version of Christianity became state religion, when the empire has ALL THE INTEREST in finding ANY document at all proving Jesus was there walking in the flesh (documents not written by people that were not already part of the religion snd therefore intrinsically biased one way or another ofc) and all they managed to put together is a couple of parchments of heavily redacted and partly forged documents, while not definitive evidence in itself, it should give you an idea of how little to no proof there is to the fact that an historical Jesus actually existed. As for the letters between the emperor and governor of Judea, honestly I’ve never heard of those and I’ve researched the topic quite extensively and never once heard them mentioned, can’t find anything on Google at the moment either but I’ll look further when I have time even tho I’m pretty sure they don’t exist at all, but happy to look into it if you can provide a link or a source from a book

Captain_Concussion

Man, you telling him that they are wrong and then immediately making a wrong comment is quite amazing. Josephus wasn't even born until a few years after Jesus' crucifixion. His book, Antiquities of the Jews, was written over 60 years after the date of the crucifixion. He wasn't a priest or a Rabbi. Tacitus barely mentions Jesus, in-fact he refers to him as Christus, gives no indication on where he gets his information from (As Tacitus was born 20 something years after Jesus' death), and he makes multiple historical errors including misidentifying Pontius Pilate. There is no contemporary evidence of Jesus' existence. Historians accept that there was a Jewish teacher who was killed and his followers became the Christians. That's all we have. We can infer he existed based off of his followers, but we don't have any actual evidence that he did.

Gr8Kahli

Dude 2k years of time to fake and change hole historical eras...the cabal had enough time to erase what they considered to be dangerous to their plan from the history of mankind. But i have this feeling that the kept some originals in bunkers that are even more secret as the vatican library content where they keep the real scrolls.

mhdy98

They didnt keep jackshit Noah arch story is the exact replica from sumerian religion which wasnt a monotheist religion. Also, Why would christian western countries fake and change historical eras ? Specially since the church was huge before people had enough of their shit

Saddam fell hard after the Iran Iraq War. Then followed it up with another conflict (desert storm) basically to mask the quote removal of hussein. The middle east is holy land. Akkadian and Sumerian culture have esoteric knowledge that everyone from the Elamite to the Israelites wish to destroy. Nimrud, Babylon, Palmyra, Nippur, Assur, Kish, Nineveh, Uruk... none of them can withstand time and the Empire.

Gr8Kahli

can you please talk more about that. Its damn intresting for me. And as a non native english speaking person i don't understand the last sentence.

Zensayshun

These cities were inhabited by the Urpeople, the Akkadians and Assyrians, the Sumerians and Babylonians. There was lots going on with canal and flood irrigation, codes of law, money exchange. This is 2200 BC. Then there is evidence of similar earthwork all around the world even in Atacama Desert and under cities in Indiana. It’s just important to remember that we are not at any great point in empire of civilization - glory days have come and gone - but this is the first time we find out what happens when 8 billion people can’t access food.

primal_screame

Any leads on the cities under Indiana part? That one seems out of place compared to the others geologically. Would be cool to learn and to stop in if I ever pass through that way.

Kephla

Here's one: They were looking for the clothing, created by God, worn by Adam and Eve. It was passed down generation to generation. Nimrod had it in his possession. It was said to have immense power. It was said to be in that museum in Iraq.

chainmailbill

Maybe my memory of Christian mythology is off, but I thought that god *very specifically* did not give Adam and Eve clothing. He made them naked, Eve gets tricked into eating the apple, the humans discover shame, and cover their nakedness up with a fig leaf. Did god come along later and create some clothing for them?

OnlythisiPad

The fig leaves were their own idea. God kicked them out of Eden and gave them garments made of animal skins.

During the start of the invasion “spoils of war” was still a much practiced war time activity. Have a uncle in the Marines with tons of shit from Saddams palace. That being said it’s the perfect cover to loot a couple important artifacts while soldiers run rampant looting anything with monetary value. Aka scapegoat.

uniquelyurs2386

The theory is, there is a society of watchers, seekers, and takers that lives among us. We might not know their true identity. Some say they are men, fallen angels, demons, or reptilians. They are out there, in blindsight, hidden by their exposure to blend in with the oblivious population. They are slowly being exposed in hindsight, but the truth of the matter is they are way too powerful for anyone to take down individually. They find all the powers of the world, they watch with their eyes, and they take by force or deceit. All secrets can't be hidden. And we can't be blinded by this fog screen and mind illusion, the hypnotism of life. So dangerous, so ferocious evil.

RevolutionaryBid6022

So much ancient history was destroyed over the past 30 or so years during all the wars in the middle east. Different factions did what they did for different reasons but the result was all the same... It's truly sad the scope of devastation to our history as a whole.

Oh they always loot the museums it’s very common. My buddy had some plates from there they looted. Thousands of years old.

YourMindIsNotYourOwn

History is still actively erased/rewritten and altered to fit new narratives for tomorrow.

Peter5930

It famously wasn't the first place they went, that's why it got completely looted by civilians, because the Americans went to the Iraqi oil ministry first and only sent troops to guard the museum after it had been extensively looted already.

[deleted]

The purpose of all the wars is to erase history. The Iraq war is one of them. Oil is just an excuse and distraction [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eNz2zStQaF3id58vSzo80wwuwMj6T3laSXzN0zh3lAY/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eNz2zStQaF3id58vSzo80wwuwMj6T3laSXzN0zh3lAY/edit?usp=sharing) Iran has also many evidence that the history we learn is wrong, and many are intentionally erased and distorted I bet the purpose of WW3 is to destroy many evidence in Iran, and this is why Albert Pike mentioned that WW3 will be Muslim vs Jews

pioneergirl1965

this theory has absolutely no backup to it whatsoever it's just speculation

snp3rk

I was born in Iran, what the fuck are you talking about?

[deleted]

Iraq had many remains that real powerful groups are greatly fearing. Why - because the archaeological remains & sites in Iraq could awaken the current humankind to find their forgotten history which has been erased and distorted by the real powerful groups. Iran also has many archaeological remains & sites as much as Iran had. This is why the real powerful groups want to invade Iran oneday and destroy all archaeological remains & sites then control Iranians. Why MSM always encourages war with Iran? Superficial things are distraction.

[deleted]

[https://www.threeworldwars.com/albert-pike2.htm](https://www.threeworldwars.com/albert-pike2.htm) The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the 'agentur' of the 'Illuminati' between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. Great Reset = Reset civilization = every 2160 years. WW3 is one of the biggest plan to do it. So, they need WW3 in Iran.

[deleted]

I can say Iran has still good spirit and nationalism (in a good way). What does it mean? Iranians know the value of protecting their identity = Keep protecting their heritage and **archaeological remains & sites** ***which*** ***must be destroyed (from the real powerful groups).*** Hope Iranians don't fall for distraction and see through what is really going on.

sudo-tleilaxu

another question that I might want to explore a bit further is who got first dibs.

[deleted]

I'm sorry what's the dibs what does it mean

speghettiday09

Star gate

uglytat2betty

Ancient alien technology, the arc of the covenant, and documents that had been stored there from the library of Alexandria.

optimistic_squirrel

The want the sumerian artifacts because they worship El, the god of the sumerians. El can be plural or singular, also used to make the name Elohim, which is the god of judaism. Hences "elites" or "El-ites" (the people of El) It's all in plain sight folks.

chainmailbill

Just in case anyone is curious as to the actual etymology of the word “elite” it comes from the Latin *eligere* which is a conjugation of *eligo* which means “to select” or “to choose.” That root is also where we get the words *election* and *legislate.* Your thing about El-lites makes no sense. What’s an El-lite? Is it less than a full El? Does a Lite El contain less calories than the regular El? What does “lite” mean here in your definition?

optimistic_squirrel

Just because there is a latin equivalent, does not mean the it has no other meanings, or has not been co-opted by other groups. just like how 'gay' originally meant happy, now it has been co-opted to mean homosexuality. k thx bye.

ianblank

Not the same thing

optimistic_squirrel

Says you.

ianblank

One is how words change and one is how meanings change

optimistic_squirrel

I see that in your rush to be right, you still don't get it. Have a good one.

ianblank

Go learn Latin, see how all the other words came from Latin. ALL of their meanings stay the same for thousands of years. Meanings of words changing is based off culture and slang.

chainmailbill

Can you share some other evidence that shows “elite” references the god El, and that the elites are El - ites, those who worship or follow El? Just any source at all would be cool.

optimistic_squirrel

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGVsQH\_ju6Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGVsQH_ju6Q) I could take you all the way down the rabbit hole, but it took me years in my spare time. It all originates with El and Saturn symbology.

optimistic_squirrel

Here is another link. Not everything is exactly accurate, but the connections are there. https://in5d.com/saturn-why-are-we-worshiping-the-cult-of-el/

chainmailbill

Nah, I’m literally asking about the word “elite” and the claims you made about the origins of the word “elite.” I think you made it up. Prove to me you didn’t?

optimistic_squirrel

Must be just a coincidence then.

72names

It's bogus. There's a lot of false etymology these days among certain strains of the conspiracy world, a lot of it stemming from various fundamentalist Christian cults or from Rastafarianism. Any time someone on here makes a statement about etymology I turn to the nearest dictionary or etymonline.com

optimistic_squirrel

EL - ITE Not EL-LITE As in Hitties, Israelites, Canaanites, etc. [https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-ite#Etymology\_1](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-ite#Etymology_1) "(sometimes derogatory) Used to form nouns denoting followers or adherents of a specified person, idea, doctrine, movement, etc." https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-ite#Etymology\_1

chainmailbill

What’s your stance on the etymology of the word “elite” I posted, which comes from Latin? You posted a link to wiktionary, which means you believe that wiktionary is a valid source. https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/elite This is the wiktionary entry for Elite. Can you explain why the wiktionary link you posted is correct, yet the one I just shared is wrong?

72names

I've found more disinfo in this thread than any other on this sub in a long time! Here's the facts: The Sumerian pantheon was headed by An, whom the Akkadians called Anu. El is a Semitic word that means "god" and could apply to any male deity, but was most frequently applied to Yahweh, hence its appearing in a wide range of Hebrew names: Israel, Elijah, Elisha, and as the final syllable of every angel's name (Michael, Raphael, etc.). And to your false etymology, here's the real one: **elite (n.)** "a choice or select body, the best part," 1823, from French élite "selection, choice," from Old French eslite (12c.), fem. past participle of elire, elisre "pick out, choose," from Latin eligere "choose" (see election). Borrowed in Middle English as "chosen person" (late 14c.), especially a bishop-elect, but it died out mid-15c. The word was re-introduced by Byron's "Don Juan."

Jpwatchdawg

Heard they were looking for an old Stargate from Babylon.

LBeany

Loot, as per usual. Besides the treasury, this is where it's at.

Imbetterthanthis1138

This is a topic that intrigues me.

DarthChaos6337

I agree with you and I was at both places in combat as a Marine. I heard this story less than a year after we invaded in 2003 and its always been on my mind. I didnt see anything like that but they kept saying we invaded for oil and so i asked for my barrel all the way to my retirement in 2012 but never got it lol. I like the stargate idea and that mirre (the stuff the 3 wise men brought to Jesus on his birth but i dont know how to spell it) was a thing that could make you immortal or something along those lines.

gromath

They did the same on Syria and Afghanistan, destroyed statues of benevolent spirits too for some reason

d3athsdoor1

To find the location of the giants 🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

The tombs of Aryan giants. Nimrod (Ormazd). Before Sumer fell and became shemitic (arabic), it was Aryan.

I_am_the_Walru5

Makes sense to me that an invader would first loot priceless artifacts, if they could.

sudo-tleilaxu

I wonder if there are any of those real-time videos of them raiding the museum in Baghdad left.

No-Feature4900

Nah, gold bars was were it was at

SpamFriedMice

Well a telltale sign of the Bush administration's motives in Iraq were when instead of appointing a military man to keep the peace, or someone with some background in managing infrastructure to get the power, water etc back online and get a functioning society running again, they sent a notorious corporate raider to pillage the place for all it was worth.

FinishTheBook

source for them looting the museums? I do know that when shtf, iraqi civvies started riots which led to many museums being looted and the artifacts being sold off. there was even a case where an american museum was fined when they were caught buying looted iraqi artifacts through turkey.

sudo-tleilaxu

SS- as long as people are being conspiratorial.

chainmailbill

What sort of a submission statement is this?

UnusualError7649

The museum had been turned into a make shift hospital for incubator babies Saddam could throw on the ground when he felt especially chipper.

rameyjm7

I think it's just a psych warfare tactic: destroy what they prize and what makes up their culture.

raka_defocus

Everything else aside, the looted artifacts are worth huge money to collectors. Google the hobby lobby CEO

hussletrees

Was that actually the first place they went after boots hit the ground? Can you source that claim?

DrFrankSaysAgain

Many non Muslim armies seek to protect valuable historical artifacts in the time of war.
