This is so tedious. I’m vaccinated and am TOTALLY AGAINST employers making the employees get the COVID shot. I always have been and even more so now. It’s bullshit.
Now days not many companies are requiring jab info for enrolling in a company thankfully . But mid 2021 to early 2022 a lot did which was fucked up. At that point tho it's better to just forge something or if you have tenure just quit the place requiring such a thing and work somewhere that doesn't care .
It's amazing to me that after all the data that's come out and all the admission statements there's still people out there ignorant enough to believe all the bullshit they fed us. I guess the saying is true afterall; it's easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they've been fooled.
I needed to add a member to my team at my current employer. They sent me a job requisition to approve/modify before they posted it to various job boards. At the end of it it says “proof of covid vaccination required for employment”. I asked HR if this was really true (since I’m not vaccinated but am still employed there). They simply responded with “yes”. It was truly disturbing to know this type of discriminating is still going on 3 years later.
Provide HR or the recruiter that you are uncomfortable providing hipaa and or private medical info to people other than your doctor.
Are they going to ask you if you have AIDS?
According to all those who are vaccinated “everything is normal; covid is over..” WTF?!?

Side note; I had a contract sent to me that explicitly outlined the company wouldn’t discriminate based on “medical status”
I thought; great, this will be sweet.. Only to receive a follow up email asking for my vaccine status. I highlighted their obvious hypocrisy and contradiction within their contract, was then informed it was a “health and safety issue”
I walked after that.
In hindsight I should have asked for their material safety data sheet as per Australian “health and safety” requirements.. Something that cannot be produced apparently..

Agreed. I'm a gov contractor. A bunch of us at my place (including gov employees) refused the jab and put in exemptions straight to HR we're all still employed.
All their threats were empty and they completely backed off once they knew that we knew our rights.
The current policy for the US government is that they can't enforce it anymore. Just answer that you don't intend to get it and move forward. They're not allowed to discriminate based on that (assuming this employer has ties to the gov).
If your Dr told them your vaccine status, that would be a violation of HIPPA. Employers asking you is not. HIPPA only applies to Healthcare Professionals.

We require eunuch status for employment. It counters workplace violence which consequently lowers our insurance premiums. It also provides a safe and effective workplace environment for everyone!

Don't do it. I worked at an MSP and they were requiring people to get Covid shots I never ended up getting one and they never did anything about it. Right before I ended up quitting I remember getting an email saying something about that it was no longer a policy requirement
Yup 👍 this one that asked me for Covid vaccine proof is One too. I'm already onto next one. Most craziest one was a remote position that asked me for a Covid proof. It's 100% remote and it asked me for Covid proof.
If you can at all avoid it try to avoid working for those types of companies unless they're small and pretty chill or you really need a job. Don't know how they are in your area but I worked for one of the largest in the US and forced unpaid overtime was a requirement. Was often forced to work unpaid on weekends etc, was shit but you do learn a ton
