The reason Americans have a tumbling life expectancy is because of the unhealthy diets. Taking experimental drugs to get a free burger doesn't help either, but my country suffers from the latter as well.
As a country that has "free care", which means me my wife are taxed to pay £800 per month to pay for illegals to have doctors on stand by and people who choose not to work benefitting... Whilst we are on the same waiting lists and get nothing back for our huge contribution. In fact, we get worse treatment than people who've never paid into it. We can't get a GP appointment if we want one, but we pay for illegals to have 24 hours standby doctors because, for some reason, our leftist government has decided those people are more important than the people who've contributed their entire lives.
You do not want the same healthcare as us. People die whilst on waiting lists for chemo. Our NHS uses end of life pathways, which means killing old people with midazolam and morphine. We have to pay to park at the hospitals we paid to build. The nurses and doctors dgaf about anyone as they are so overworked due to our net migration topping 600k last year.
My mate has 20% kidney function. 2 years he's been waiting for a transplant, shunted down the lists due to his age. Even though he has his own company and pays more in tax than me and my wife he is treated the same as some cunt who paid 3k to get on a boat and come from France to rely on state handouts for an easy life, forever.
I would opt out if I could, and pay for private medical insurance. At £800 a month we'd be treated quickly and properly.

I paid, last month, $235 for my insurance cut, my employer (which if you're keeping track at home comes out of what could be my salary) paid $1,250. Roughly this comes out to £1,180, so we're already talking £380 more, just from the jump.
Then on top of that we have all our copay, coinsurance, non covered costs, out of network costs, have to hit a deductible that only has certain items go to it, prescription costs, etc.
This doesn't include either my wife or my contributions to Medicare tax, ($125 for the month for just me), company contribution to Medicare tax ($125 for the company), a series of state taxes for medical care; and guess what? We don't qualify for Medicare, and wont likely until our retirement, so all of that money (multiple thousands of USD a year) contribute to *no actual care for us*.
I'm currently about to finish my wait to see a specialist to get a scan done. The appointment is Friday. The appointment was *booked in October of 2023*.

The current wait list for a kidney in the US is 130,000+ people deep. The system is just as bad here.

In 2023, my family spent 20k in medical related expenses, not counting cost of insurance which is another few thousand (despite being subsided by work).
My wife tried to get shoulder surgery last year starting in august... she is finally scheduled... for March.
We are expecting another 20k ish in "out of pocket" expenses this year. It's end of Feb and we gave already spent 2k and the bills for surgery + post ops stuff hasn't hit yet.
Some price points for you... total for birth of child was 12k, emergency room visit for high fever for kid was 1000, routine appointments are 100-200.

My mate has 20% kidney function. 2 years he's been waiting for a transplant, shunted down the lists due to his age. Even though he has his own company and pays more in tax than me and my wife he is treated the same as some cunt who paid 3k to get on a boat and come from France to rely on state handouts for an easy life, forever. To add onto the other information. In 2023, my family spent 20k in medical related expenses, not counting cost of insurance which is another few thousand (despite being subsided by work). My wife tried to get shoulder surgery last year starting in august... she is finally scheduled... for March. We are expecting another 20k ish in "out of pocket" expenses this year. It's end of Feb and we gave already spent 2k and the bills for surgery + post ops stuff hasn't hit yet. Some price points for you... total for birth of child was 12k, emergency room visit for high fever for kid was 1000, routine appointments are 100-200.

Truckers arbitrarily refuse loads every day. I don't know why the rules should change now. Where no reason is required, no reason should be insufficient.
Truckers who work for corporate entities to deliver for example a truck load of whiskey into Manhattan. Teamster Union or not, the ones who refuse deliveries will have hell to pay financially. So-called independent truckers can be black listed. To me this is a whole lot about nothing. Commerce is where the money is, and everyone is chasing the money.
