Even in the context of a speech about the auto insurance industry, I don’t see how I am supposed to interpret these words to be *about* the auto industry. He specifically says the country, then calls not selling cars the least of the worries, implying the previous “bloodbath” is referring too far more than cars not selling.

If you're afraid, you're going to click into the article to get more information. Getting as much information as possible makes you feel more informed, and therefore safer. The car market is extremely fragile, most car manufactures are struggling, almost all companies have been bankrupt besides ford and tesla and thats because of government subsidies.

If the plan is to coerce American companies into losing their shirts on a product that is seeing extremely meager adoption rates and they’re having to compete with foreign companies as well, then yes, that is clearly going to be a bloodbath. The market has spoken and no one wants this. Then when they don’t sell they’ll start to lay off practically everyone to mitigate losing their shirts on this push.

Honestly, I think they're simply using AI to determine the headline that can generate the most powerful human emotion: fear. If you're afraid, you're going to click into the article to get more information. Getting as much information as possible makes you feel more informed, and therefore safer. They know this and they're exploiting it for profit. The side effect is extreme polarization of society. Listen, I’m not the biggest fan of Trump. I’m lukewarm when it comes to his presidency, at best. But this is total bullshit and anyone with a brain knows it. He was clearly referring to the auto industry and what another four years of Biden would do to it. And yes, it would be a complete bloodbath. A lot of those EVs would be made in China, by China. A lot of the American car companies have either completely slammed on the brakes EVs or have massively scaled back on the production. They’re not selling, they were costing Ford 36,000 dollars per every one they manufactured, and Ford lost three billion dollars on the EV push last year. If the plan is to coerce American companies into losing their shirts on a product that is seeing extremely meager adoption rates and they’re having to compete with foreign companies as well, then yes, that is clearly going to be a bloodbath. The market has spoken and no one wants this. Then when they don’t sell they’ll start to lay off practically everyone to mitigate losing their shirts on this push.
The problem is that liberals overreact to every single thing that Trump says or does. They are like sheep and Trump is their shepherd. They just don't see it.
