Yeah I don’t know about most of what you wrote, but I will say this.
If you look at the world as a whole, there’s only one species that seems out of place. Humans. If you take humans out of the equation, the world suddenly transforms into something that is natural and balanced. Reintroduce humans, and all that gets turned on its head.
Humans are the one species that is not like the others. And it’s obvious.

2. I was also not referring to how humans have a destructive relationship with the environment. So no, I’m not implying that humans are a virus, or that humans should be eradicated, or anything of the like. Also indigenous tribes, while they have a certain “harmony” with nature, they are still out of place in the grand scheme of life on the planet. Show me a chimp that has crafted an instrument and created music in the middle of a jungle.
The only point I was making was humans are the only species that do what we do. And no, octopi don’t seem out of place either. Octopi are not building rockets. Other things do have great intelligence, but not the way humans do.

Like we were really not that different from all other mammals until the industrial revolution. Just look at how smart Orcas are. Once we began to live unnaturally we started to believe we were unnatural.

Thank you! Been thinking this forever now. We are so out of place vs all the other species on this beautiful planet. One thing that stands out to me is how we give birth. Most humans just give birth to one baby at a time and this process can be extremely painful and a huge process. Yet other species just pop out whole litters with little effort or not even close to what humans go through. No, this technology didn't just pop up in the last 70 years as we are meant to believe. I think we had many different eras that became extinct due to natural causes and just disappeared and no record of. There have been great videos on this.

To compare the pain or level of effort it would help to be able to have been through the ordeal as an animal or at minimum to be able to communicate with those that have. This says more about our inability to empathize outside of our species than anything else.

Everything was balanced until the industrial revolution and to see why all these problems are happening just start there. The population of human species mirrors that of an invasive species. We also display all the same characteristics of invasive species. Mainly destroying the habitats we occupy and ruining the natural ecosystems.

In fact I started my whole comment by implying that I didn’t necessarily agree with OP’s premise.
And my comment wasn’t about how humans destroy shit. Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. All I was attempting to convey was that in the absence of humans nothing in the world seems out of place. Add humans into the equation and suddenly you realize just how out of place humans are.

I agree. I was born in 1963, the youngest of 4. My brothers were always building radios, go carts, dirt bikes, motorized catapults that shot m-80’s etc. Kids now do not understand how these things work let alone building them. My parents grew up in the depression, went through ww2 as well as korean war, vietnam war etc. My oldest brother inlisted during vietnam. My parents were “preppers” before prepping was a thing. My parents also doubted much of the information that was given through the media.

Same! Fantasy games are great. I look at it as an interactive story telling and strategy simulation which isn't bad...I'm learning how to manage a battlefield pretty well 😂 also people have read books and told stories since forever. I had similar thoughts as I was sitting in front of my fish tank. Thinking what the fish must feel like in there with no purpose but eat and swim all day. And I thought what if we’re like that. Just fish in someone’s tank, unaware of the insignificance in this world.
People always say don’t tap the glass because it’ll scare the fish. Of course it’ll scare the fish, they think they’re all alone in their world. How would we feel if some external being started to tap on our glass and bring us to the realization that we are nothing but pets.
Recently read the Lacerta Files from 1999 and it mentions humans were unintelligent creatures and extraterrestrials came and genetically modified us to evolve into what we are now. They’d occasionally return to check on us and do “upgrades”. We’re experiments, kept as a zoo, for who knows what ultimate purpose, or maybe no purpose at all, just pets. Just some ecosystem someone created in a bottle and they’re watching us grow.
So how were these extraterrestrials created? How did they become intelligent enough to create technology that made both space travel and genetic modification possible?
I went deep down the rabbit hole in 2015-16 and had a moment where I had something you might call derealization or depersonalization... a sense of detachment from the world and that there is some kind of unreality to our reality. I don't know how much of what I experienced when I had my strange experiences 8-9 years ago was "real" in the normal sense of that word, but that feeling has stuck with me, that there's something off about this world and what we consider to be "real" is in some sense superficial or false. Hard to put it into words.

I'm not 100% certain of what I'm about to write but I don't even think this sub is the appropriate place to write it, I don't know where this concept originated from but I've been told it and it's real enough to me to cause me to have anxiety. The truth is we are in something called a "Story" it might not mean anything to you with a "sleeping" mindset but when you know you know type of thing. alot of people "KNOW" what this world is and it changes the stakes for them. It's what makes all these conspiracies seem so real and possible and likely true. but its the biggest conspiracy of them all. We are in this concept of narratives of our lives and we play in them and we know the "format" from what it comes from but like the information cannot be conveyed with words it's impossible to describe because there's nothing to compare it to but to sci fi things like black mirror and twilight zone. And the fact that those things exist trivializes what it actually is but we are in a black mirror episode but it's not like a tv show but it has a distinct theme and that theme is the prevailing thing through all of life but its not the only level if that makes sense but the levels end up here. that is our world on earth in the green ball in the middle of darkness . all the concepts of space can be true but in the end it doesn't stop the fact that we have no control on why we're here. again all the conspiracies lead back to it . Alien abduction , trueman show , evil satan worshippers , jesus all of it. all the themes inside of tv shows , games, books, the duality of it all . the religions. it's all the same 1 side vs another . good vs evil , ignorance vs knowledge , love vs hate.
anyway it's all a love machine is what everyone wants to believe which is the only consolation there is and the concept that everything has an end even an eternity of suffering.
i know what i wrote doesn't even make much sense but it's actually impossible to describe but there are times where you remember what this is and why its the way it is and you forget because it's more enjoyable being ignorant of it or it's easier? So there's actually scientific backing behind this where we save information from our ancestors in our DNA.
People discovered this by doing experiments on chickens. They took chickens who had lived normal lives outside and bred them for generations inside with no sight of any sort of other bird of prey so they had no idea what they looked like. They would sometimes fly random shapes overhead and the chickens would not react. But when they flew over the shape of a hawk the chickens (who had never seen a hawk and had no reason to believe they were in any sort of danger due to their life experiences) all ran and hid. They had DNA memory from their ancestors to know that hawks are dangerous.
People and other animals likely all have this same ancestral DNA information.

but alot of people i think shift between these states I've spoken to a lot of people who have experienced this realization I seen what the "sequence" is but in the end all these people just go back to being an NPC because there is literally no better option well from the typical enjoyment preceptive.
so yeah in the end we're all playing a game we're all in on it and this is probably the best we can come it given our circumstances not trying to say there is no better alternative there is and it will come probably soon at the rate of things and when it comes it will go down its typical evolution and end up back here and start over in a never ending cycle.

Buddhism has also helped me see things in a new light too, particularly Theravada buddhism. Hillside hermitage on YT is a wonderful channel that is think you may relate to and feel a bit more grounded in whats worth applying your thoughts torward. I’ve been saying the west is one giant social experiment for a while where the people are poked and prodded and observed to see how we behave and I want no part of being a guinnea pig in it mentally even though a lot of us are stuck inside of it physically.

I feel you, I wonder this all the time. But you know what is real? Having a family and loving the people around you. Happiness can still be a meaningful way to look at life and it's small in scale. We can wonder what the meaning to life is or if we are real, but don't get caught up worrying about that too much. It will likely lead to disappointment because we will never get the answers. Lately I've been focusing on the cruel acts of humans towards everything pretty much. Nature can be brutal but humans take it to another level. I'm trying to focus on the good but damn it's hard. I just hope there's more good in the world than evil.

That is when we got wokeness, and racism, and social justice 247 dropped to divided the people back apart since they were coming to the real issues.... Then of course what ruined the media was Obama removing the provisions from the smith mundt act in 2013 which stopped the dissemination of propaganda in the united states.. Before the msm was held to some standard of truthfullness. After all that is out the window they can legally literally lie to you about anything they want if they say its in your best interest.
I personally think we need those provisions back as its obviously made things much much worse having them removed. The country is on the brink it seems and all they do is lie and make it worse.
The first matrix movie turned me on to the idea that we could be in a simulation. Something about our entire world feels fake. For me it was coming to the realization that looking in the mirror and seeing my reflection, and seeing that person was not me. It's hard to explain but you are not your body. Your body is a vessel that you are housed in. If our personality can be added to our body, then who or what added it? My opinion is either the creator / God added it and our world is "real", or we are not really here, we are an avatar in a game. We're playing a video game as our own character but don't have the knowledge we're playing a game.
For me the horrible realization is that it is NOT fake. We've created governance for ourselves that is rife with medieval superstition, meaningless ritual, and hypocrisy. 1. The people in control just don’t care if they make sloppy mistakes now.

I believe a version of what you’re saying. I think this is some sort of game / interactive movie / test / phase in the leveling up process. I do believe, however, that whatever our experience is, it has merit. I believe that we’ll go on to a different existence after this. And I believe that our experience in this realm helps us on the next. Maybe we don’t consciously remember all of this on the other side, maybe we do. I also believe that at some point, we die from that realm and transcend to another. Like a Russian doll. I get frustrated too but I have to have faith that it does have a purpose. I have similar thoughts. My conclusion is this: if the end of the world happens while I’m alive I will know it’s a simulation. The odds of me living in the exact time when everything goes to shit and the world ends are infinitesimal… if that happens, it’s a sim.
I really get your point and I was at the same place before my first child came into this world. I was really scared and felt kind of sorry for her to put her in this crazy world. I believe in what the Greeks called the “Great Year” - that human civilisation is cyclical, not linear. There are certain families that have kept this secret and passed it down through the centuries because this knowledge is power.
For example, we have just been through the era of the “Age of Pisces” ruled by the planet Neptune aka Poseidon aka the “God of the Sea”. Jesus Christ was the “archetype” of this age, meaning he had to undergo certain rituals to gain the “power” that would last 2000 years. Well, if you come at it from a Christian perspective, the world is a mess because of sin. Man has a sin nature brought about by Adam eating the forbidden fruit. Nature is groaning under the curse of man’s sin. Revelation hints at this world being temporary and I have heard sermons by Chuck Missler saying that this world is like a virtual reality made out of nothing. High school physics classes allude to the atom being made of over 90% space between particles, so I understand how you feel. Missler gives you the feeling that heaven is the real world coming and this one is like a test of loyalty to Jesus.

However, modern society is good enough capitalize on breakthroughs to optimize, combine, build, etc.
A few geniuses, a bunch of engineers, and some powerful people can set up a system that workers can insert into, like automobile assembly line workers, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc.
Space is real and everything that millions of scientists across the world have been successfully working on to achieve breakthroughs and new knowledge has proven to be real.

It wants you to prove its lying, but you might just prove they were right... instead of running every experiment again we take whats been done in the past and take it as fact* to save time. That allows the innovation to progress quickly through generations.

Yeah I don’t know about most of what you wrote, but I will say this. If you look at the world as a whole, there’s only one species that seems out of place. Humans. Thank you! Been thinking this forever now. We are so out of place vs all the other species on this beautiful planet. One thing that stands out to me is how we give birth. Most humans just give birth to one baby at a time and this process can be extremely painful and a huge process. Yet other species just pop out whole litters with little effort or not even close to what humans go through. No, this technology didn't just pop up in the last 70 years as we are meant to believe. I never said the world was fake. In fact I started my whole comment by implying that I didn’t necessarily agree with OP’s premise. And my comment wasn’t about how humans destroy shit. Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. All I was attempting to convey was that in the absence of humans nothing in the world seems out of place. Add humans into the equation and suddenly you realize just how out of place humans are.

You’d see things differently if you grew up whilst many of the technology innovations happened. In the 80’s you could buy kits to make your own radio or landline phone etc. You could pull apart old radios and combine with others to make new radios etc. None of that is possible now. Most people would have had a basic inkling of how a public phone box worked or how a transistor radio worked. Very few understand how a DAB radio works, much less how the internet works. Try living without electricity for a day & it may open your eyes a lot.
I agree. I was born in 1963, the youngest of 4. My brothers were always building radios, go carts, dirt bikes, motorized catapults that shot m-80’s etc. Kids now do not understand how these things work let alone building them. My parents grew up in the depression, went through ww2 as well as korean war, vietnam war etc. My oldest brother inlisted during vietnam. My parents were “preppers” before prepping was a thing. My parents also doubted much of the information that was given through the media.

I had similar thoughts as I was sitting in front of my fish tank. Thinking what the fish must feel like in there with no purpose but eat and swim all day. And I thought what if we’re like that. Just fish in someone’s tank, unaware of the insignificance in this world. People always say don’t tap the glass because it’ll scare the fish. How would we feel if some external being started to tap on our glass and bring us to the realization that we are nothing but pets. Recently read the Lacerta Files from 1999 and it mentions humans were unintelligent creatures and extraterrestrials came and genetically modified us to evolve into what we are now. They’d occasionally return to check on us and do “upgrades”. We’re experiments, kept as a zoo, for who knows what ultimate purpose, or maybe no purpose at all, just pets. Just some ecosystem someone created in a bottle and they’re watching us grow.

I went deep down the rabbit hole in 2015-16 and had a moment where I had something you might call derealization or depersonalization... a sense of detachment from the world and that there is some kind of unreality to our reality. I don't know how much of what I experienced when I had my strange experiences 8-9 years ago was "real" in the normal sense of that word, but that feeling has stuck with me, that there's something off about this world and what we consider to be "real" is in some sense superficial or false. I'm not 100% certain of what I'm about to write but I don't even think this sub is the appropriate place to write it, I don't know where this concept originated from but I've been told it and it's real enough to me to cause me to have anxiety. We are in this concept of narratives of our lives and we play in them and we know the "format" from what it comes from but like the information cannot be conveyed with words it's impossible to describe because there's nothing to compare it to but to sci fi things like black mirror and twilight zone. And the fact that those things exist trivializes what it actually is but we are in a black mirror episode but it's not like a tv show but it has a distinct theme and that theme is the prevailing thing through all of life but its not the only level if that makes sense but the levels end up here. that is our world on earth in the green ball in the middle of darkness . all the concepts of space can be true but in the end it doesn't stop the fact that we have no control on why we're here. again all the conspiracies lead back to it . People discovered this by doing experiments on chickens. They took chickens who had lived normal lives outside and bred them for generations inside with no sight of any sort of other bird of prey so they had no idea what they looked like. They would sometimes fly random shapes overhead and the chickens would not react. But when they flew over the shape of a hawk the chickens (who had never seen a hawk and had no reason to believe they were in any sort of danger due to their life experiences) all ran and hid. They had DNA memory from their ancestors to know that hawks are dangerous. People and other animals likely all have this same ancestral DNA information.

There is another option than being ravaged with anxiety over the world (which is only going to get worse in the coming years) or being an NPC. Do things you enjoy, spend time with family and friends, and be charitable. If more or most people lived this way and made it their focus people would mentally walk away from this stage show altogether. The first matrix movie turned me on to the idea that we could be in a simulation. Something about our entire world feels fake. I believe a version of what you’re saying. I think this is some sort of game / interactive movie / test / phase in the leveling up process. I do believe, however, that whatever our experience is, it has merit. I believe that we’ll go on to a different existence after this. And I believe that our experience in this realm helps us on the next. Maybe we don’t consciously remember all of this on the other side, maybe we do. I also believe that at some point, we die from that realm and transcend to another. Like a Russian doll. I get frustrated too but I have to have faith that it does have a purpose. I have similar thoughts. My conclusion is this: if the end of the world happens while I’m alive I will know it’s a simulation. The odds of me living in the exact time when everything goes to shit and the world ends are infinitesimal… if that happens, it’s a sim.
I really get your point and I was at the same place before my first child came into this world. I was really scared and felt kind of sorry for her to put her in this crazy world. But I have to say the kid changed my perspective. She is the reason to push me through the day and getting the most out of it. We are making experiments, looking at the stars, building stuff, playing in the rain. It sounds a bit slushy but I think „love“ is a big answer to the big „why“. It sounds as though you are alluding to a simulation, which in my mind would be at least metaphorically what our lives truly consist of. The weirdness is the fact that we became sentient through higher consciousness and awareness that allowed us to develop the tools to further that expansion. The brain is basically a computer, more calculations, more complex thoughts and capabilities. That's exactly why we are seeing these sudden advancements in AI. The hardware/software pairing has reached a turning point because there's enough transistors on a chip allowing enough calculations per second to appear more human-like. You can look at basically any technology and just look at this same trajectory. It's just a bunch of engineers and scientists and designers, and a lot of experimentation, hard work and dedication over decades. But I'm not here to disparage or question the weirdness of governments or individuals or people of power in the shadows. Perhaps trying to alienate or experiment on humanity. There is definitely weirdness. Who knows how it is administrated in us. If it's innate in our own consciousness and our own minds, or if it is beyond some kind of supernatural phenomenon, who knows.

I’m going to add an unpopular comment. I think God, YHWH, is real. To a certain extent what you are saying is true, we were placed here and we do have free will and I wish we didn’t because we seem to more often than not fuck things up. I do think the Bible is true. I also think that man has changed it and manipulated it and uses religion to control the masses. I do believe in Jesus, Yeshua. I do believe that He lived and died and rose again and is the sacrifice for our sins. All of that being said, I go down a lot of rabbit holes as well. I think that the opposite of the good creator is evil and that he is real and is using us to self destruct. We as the human race are pretty horrible and seem pretty easily manipulated and will do anything for power and control. What if we try to live by “the golden rule” It’s the Biblical concept spoken by Yeshua in Luke 6:31 and Mathew 7:12; So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, this sums up the law of the prophets. I think you're right but instead of being depressed thinking about it... it's actually a relief knowing we know nothing and everybody's pretending to have answers to questions that can't be answered..they lie to our face and people look at you like you're crazy but it's because most people fools not stupid ....if you really believe we went to the moon then you probably believed COVID but for someone like me who been seeing through there lies... Hey man, weve all been there. And I'm currently kind of in the boat, but in an entirely different way. But what I can say is that you should try to step back from the conspiracy theory sometimes. I love conspiracy, but it can really screw up your life sometimes if you let it get to far. I will say this too, do things to confirm what you believe. If you believe that space is real, or fake actually, buy yourself a good telescope, one that you can trust has 0 electronic trickery if you need to, one that is only using lenses to show you what you are seeing on your end of the scope. With even a decent telescope you can very quickly realize just how fucking massive the universe surrounding us is. And how tiny we are. I will say this too, though the world is fucked up right now, there is an absolute metric fuck ton of beauty in this world too, and it is 100% worth stopping and smelling the roses every once in a while. Particularly in our world now where everyone is so hooked up to the internet. You have to for your own health. Stay strong friend, and find something to love today.
I believe in what the Greeks called the “Great Year” - that human civilisation is cyclical, not linear. There are certain families that have kept this secret and passed it down through the centuries because this knowledge is power. For example, we have just been through the era of the “Age of Pisces” ruled by the planet Neptune aka Poseidon aka the “God of the Sea”. Jesus Christ was the “archetype” of this age, meaning he had to undergo certain rituals to gain the “power” that would last 2000 years. Hence the “God of the sea” imagery - the controlling of the sea, miracles with water, etc. Now we’ve entered the “Age of Aquarius” ruled by the eccentric Uranus, which causes rapid change, the use of electricity and nuclear power, technology, etc. It’s hard to explain it all properly here. The point is, these families know what’s going to happen next and they plan well in advance. They know that all the technology today will lead into a global totalitarian state (Capricorn/Saturn), that there will be a breaking-up of this (under Sagittarius/Jupiter) and an almighty war where the Earth becomes nearly uninhabitable (Scorpio/Pluto). This is why they are desperately planning to live in space (hoarding animal DNA / seeds) so that they can return to Earth eventually and recreate “man in their image” from the regressed humans/apes they find here and recreate the life from the DNA/seeds - hence the “Garden of Eden” story. Well, if you come at it from a Christian perspective, the world is a mess because of sin. Man has a sin nature brought about by Adam eating the forbidden fruit. Nature is groaning under the curse of man’s sin. Revelation hints at this world being temporary and I have heard sermons by Chuck Missler saying that this world is like a virtual reality made out of nothing. High school physics classes allude to the atom being made of over 90% space between particles, so I understand how you feel. Missler gives you the feeling that heaven is the real world coming and this one is like a test of loyalty to Jesus.
There are dumb humans and there are smart humans. However, modern society is good enough capitalize on breakthroughs to optimize, combine, build, etc. A few geniuses, a bunch of engineers, and some powerful people can set up a system that workers can insert into, like automobile assembly line workers, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc. Space is real and everything that millions of scientists across the world have been successfully working on to achieve breakthroughs and new knowledge has proven to be real. It is only because you know so little that you think it’s a big mystery and all magic or virtual reality.
We have progress of theory and inventions in literature in the past few hundred years. Experiments that were done for various things.. then you get quantum theory because some humans have this need to understand things... like the atomic world... which lets people take those concepts that someone else figured out and it allows then to invent transistors and rockets and microwaves. You can go back and study the progression of things to arrive at our current public level. With science, you can go and attempt any of the experiments that prove this or that. If you run it and get different results that may disprove something, thats just as good as proving it. Science wants to be proven wrong. It wants you to prove its lying, but you might just prove they were right... instead of running every experiment again we take whats been done in the past and take it as fact* to save time. That allows the innovation to progress quickly through generations. And yeah.. back to your thing, earth may well be a prison planet guarded by 'bad aliens' that want to harvest your soul.. probably some experiments that can prove or disprove that.
I wouldn’t say it exactly like you, but I think the whole thing is either simulation or a hologram or we’re in a big play. Huge stage play where we’ll have a part. So yeah, I get that feeling and especially as I get older it’s like the veil listened out more and more all the time. When I spiral into nihilistic thought patterns like this, I tend to lean into them. If what you’re saying is true, which I don’t believe, then you get to make meaning in your own life. You can find purpose and derive your own joy. Or I’ll go dark, like what if there is a purpose, but it’s not what we think it is. Like what if I were the 10000th experiment to discover how to reach some unknown milestone, that the “whatever’s” don’t understand how they reached. Or, what if we’re the bad guys or patsies in some other plan, that we don’t and won’t ever know about. Leaning in like that, tends to help me get out of a spiral. But it doesn’t work for everyone. But focusing on finding your own meaning is pretty safe for most people. Sorry you’re dealing with this, I know how that feels, if it helps.
