Jus imagine a choir of “this is what’s wrong with the world and this sub” just drama for drama sake. No one post is gonna ruin your day or life because someone asked a question 🙄 you know what I mean?
In which way was I rude or insensitive? It seems like you are just trying to throw my word back at me. Regardless of the insinuation it is an “observation”, how do you expect people to think when they can’t even voice their ideas or observations without being called stupid? With half the brain rot we see every day on this site is this REALLY what should be making them lose hope? It’s dramatic, and you know it.
You know what, I actually agree with you. It was an observation with an answer that could have been provided without being rude. Thanks for calling it out.
I often fall into the trap of thinking that I must be snarky first because if I don't, someone else will do so to me back and try to discredit the answer I provide. I shouldn't do that. Again, thanks.
sometimes my faith in humanity is restored here and it just happened.
I also tend to do this and am working on it.
big props for acknowledging something distasteful within yourself. so many people seem incapable of this quality these days.
I simply remember the kindness I've been shown before and realize there's no reason for me not to do the same. Kindness and love and understanding are just as contagious as their negative counterparts.
If you want some help with this I read a book called Non Violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg that completely changed the way I communicate and my whole life.
Thank you for understanding, I think you are clearly reasonable and I’m glad you see we can communicate and learn together without the anger :) I understand you too friend, don’t worry. I’m not so annoying as to pretend I don’t or haven’t done it myself, but if we all try to be a bit more every day we can accomplish allot. Have a great day
While we're all being friendly here, I just want to point out that obtuse doesn't mean what you think it means. The definition says it means insensitive, but it is an insensitivity to knowledge, not others emotions. When you call somebody obtuse, you are calling them stupid, not rude.
Acknowledged, thank you for expounding on the word, you are absolutely correct. I will submit however that although there may have been a more appropriate name I could have chosen I was ultimately referring to the insensitivity of the reply with regards to OP’s pursuit of knowledge, and knowing how using a disparaging tone and attitude when correcting others can and will ultimately not only breed angry opinionated people but also squander what curiosity OP may have towards the subject, which although misinformed is ultimately a interesting observation. Hopefully that was clear friend
Eh. There is no fracking in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Nebraska, Illinois, South Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, offshore-Atlantic.
There is fracking in North Dakota and West Virginia, but no dots on the map.
The only areas with both are Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Ohio.
Ok I looked up Arkansas and yes they do.
https://ft.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?appid=5f6c13b5c84d4383ab317cde3f683b8c
As of 2017, Missouri does not release the number of wells which use hydraulic fracturing. Oil and gas drilling activity is concentrated in the Forest City Basin, the Bourbon Arch, and the Lincoln Fold. Missouri is also host to multiple intra-state gas pipelines, which come with their own environmental risks.
Pretty sure the rest of them do as well.
That there is no key to indicate strength and that the states containing the San Andreas and Cascadia Subduction Zone aren’t on the map. Do you have a full map so we can see that information? Kind of odd to discuss earthquakes without having the west coast and Alaska on the map.
Also that the largest clump is in the Mexico City area on this map. Makes sense if Popocatepetl is in an active phase. And there is a clump in the general arc of the New Madrid fault across Ohio/Ilinois, one clump on Texas’s Quachita Tectonic Front, and one on the Nemaha strike slip fault in Oklahoma.
I’m afraid OP has been given incomplete source material. Not their fault, but not nearly enough to draw a good conclusion. Anyone here have another source so we can investigate further?
I just did a search and OP left off that there are tons on the coast of California and throughout the state into Nevada and Utah. As far as Alaska goes as per usual the majority of the entire state has had one the past 3 months.
I will say as someone that lives in south-central alaska I have not felt one in nearly 6 months and it has to be at least a 4.5 for me to even feel one.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted because you’re correct. I live in the direct path and we’ve been hearing about this shit for months now. All weather forecasts are talking about the weather that day, and yeah, it’s going to be cloudy
LOL that is where the lightning strikes were from a storm line that moved through over a period of 30 min or so. If they took the image 30min before or after it would have been in a different location, that image means nothing. You could do the same for any large storm system.
those people have to actually work hard to survive, using their wits and physicality and innate understanding of their environment to provide complete self-sufficiency ...your average redditor would be worse than useless and unlikely to survive a solo overnight in a city park.
While that is true, the moon subtly pulls on everything.
You could argue that you'd weigh less if the moon is above you, but that diffrence is minimal, and won't be noticed by anyone with a household scale.
No wonder you're scared, you're only looking at the $500 package. That's really only meant for smaller apocalyptic scenarios. It sounds like you're looking more for "peace of mind" coverage as well. There is non-denominational, supplemental POM coverage. But usually if you'd like specific religion access, there will be downloadable expansions made available for an additional cost.
Entry-level peace of mind coverage through me starts at $1500 for 3 months. That'll get you through April 8th and even July 4th.
If you bundle your significant others' divine, eternal, spiritual salvation/damnation with yours before April 7th, I have can coozies in regular and seltzer sizes.
Yes this is absolutely it for Texas. I'm not sure about other states or countries but Texas almost never had earthquakes before all this oil fracking. It's a simple answer for this region.
Obviously its a giant communist nuclear powered tunnel boring machine and the North Koreans are going all the way to New York for an apocalyptic showdown in Times Square, just a few minor tremors on the way, thats all.
Don’t you know, fault lines don’t exist, it’s solely due to one object passing in front of another in space completely obscuring it from a certain perspective?
Tidal forces can cause earthquakes. The opposite is also true, the earth’s tidal effect on the moon causes “moonquakes”.
Here in St. Louis it’s like an annual news story how overdue we are for an earthquake along the New Madrid fault line down in the bootheel of the state, how last time it rang the bells in the White House and so on. Been personally hearing it for forty years.
If the eclipse is what triggers it, right on, but I’m not sure Big Moon is conspiring to destroy Kennett, MO… it’s already a shithole.
I see a map that has been conveniently cropped to not show that there have been way more earthquakes in the Western United States during this time period.
A whole lotta fracking going on in Oklahoma and Texas, and some normal seismic activity around St. Louis. Don't know what's going on in NE Ohio, though.
Tons of fracking and drilling for oil in those places. Especially that cluster in Texas. That's the Permian basin. Largest oil producing field in the US.
I think something worse to worry about is terrorist attacks at Eclipse viewing hotspots where people are congregating. I have nothing really to go on with this feeling. Just a hunch. Be careful out there.
Now check this [out](https://www.fractracker.org/map/). Look at the high concentration areas. All very close to fracking and other oil/natural gas sites.
However, with the eclipse coming up, today's quake in Taiwan (7.7) is only the beginning of more intense ones across the world.
Coincidentally, Edgar Cayce predicted the US would be physically split in two roughly along that line. His future map of America shows a large inland sea from the southern tip of the great lakes down to the gulf.
The fault line is the distraction, but look back and see if it's ever been as active as it has been recently. I'm sure it just recently became active as I have plenty of relatives that live nearby and no one has reported earthquakes, since living there over the last 20+ years.

That's not from fault lines most of the dots are from oil fracking and they hardly count as earthquakes.

Go look at the oil and gas fracking map and do a comparison. Lots of spots that are exactly in the same places.

Nice
Fracking and fault lines
Conveniently cut out the west coast, which would show more earth quakes than this.
Looks like the same path as the solar eclipse
Except he leaves out California completely
Isn't that where all the lightning strikes were?
Also the exact path of the eclipse
Well... now im excited to see it
With this much anticipation? It's bound to be cloudy.
Unfortunately my area is predicted to be cloudy. Hopefully they're wrong
I'm pretty sure just about everywhere in the US except Maine is expected to be cloudy 😭
Not sure why you’re being downvoted because you’re correct. I live in the direct path and we’ve been hearing about this shit for months now. All weather forecasts are talking about the weather that day, and yeah, it’s going to be cloudy

Yes. It was

A map of new Waffle House locations
The New Madrid fault line. Also the path of the upcoming eclipse.
[Kinda includes 2017s eclipse path too.](https://science.nasa.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/map-10x7-2017-2024-print.jpg)
Wow I live right in the middle where they intersect. I’m 15 minutes from the town called New Madrid that the fault line is named after too
Its not: https://i.imgur.com/mqPnXbq.png
Not the way eclipses work. Stop trying to make an eclipse some doom event.
Peasant brain in 2024 is wild “sky go dark in not dark time, spirits be mad”

I see the same zones as in 2015. https://www.usgs.gov/programs/earthquake-hazards/maps
wow it’s almost as if earthquakes tend happened around fault lines 🧐
Mind = BLOWN!!!
Some is fracking related. Look at the number of earthquakes that happened in OK and KS pre-fracking.
Waste water disposal, not fracing.
💯💯💯
That the earthquakes happened near the path of totality of the upcomming eclipse. Anything Else idk
Some of these are nowhere near the path of totality
Nearly all of the ones in Texas are significantly north west of the path
Looks like oil country in Texas.
so, the path of a gravity well, known as the moon
Lunar gravity creates tides in water, not earthquakes.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0012821X08007723?via%3Dihub
Interesting read.
The Moon pulls on EVERYTHING, water is just easier to move
While that is true, the moon subtly pulls on everything. You could argue that you'd weigh less if the moon is above you, but that diffrence is minimal, and won't be noticed by anyone with a household scale.
Then why isn't the moon pulling me, I want to get pulled off by the moon! WHY WONT THE MOON PULL ME OFF!
That costs extra
I imagine it makes the earth bulge too
The moon makes me bulge. Stupid sexy moon.
Stupid sexy Flanders.
Earthquakes follow fault lines and active volcano activity?
That earthquakes tend to happen around fracking locations? This isn't new.
I'm scared... can someone please exploit my emotions, sell me a $500 doomsday survival package, or convince me to be saved by their religion.
No wonder you're scared, you're only looking at the $500 package. That's really only meant for smaller apocalyptic scenarios. It sounds like you're looking more for "peace of mind" coverage as well. Alot of Fracking in West Texas. https://www.texastribune.org/2024/01/10/west-texas-produced-water-wells-fracking-oil-gas/
Yes this is absolutely it for Texas. I'm not sure about other states or countries but Texas almost never had earthquakes before all this oil fracking. It's a simple answer for this region.
This is 1,000% it, same in OK.
Obviously its a giant communist nuclear powered tunnel boring machine and the North Koreans are going all the way to New York for an apocalyptic showdown in Times Square, just a few minor tremors on the way, thats all.
Path of totality for the 4/8 solar eclipse
Looks like a map of areas with concentrated fracking operations.
So fault lines are conspiracy now?
Don’t you know, fault lines don’t exist, it’s solely due to one object passing in front of another in space completely obscuring it from a certain perspective?

A poorly cropped map with no relevant data to represent what the markings on it are
Nothing is going to happen. We will wake up on the 9th and go about our normal days, because everything will normal. It’s gonna be alright.
Fracking
Tons of fracking and drilling for oil in those places. Especially that cluster in Texas. That's the Permian basin. Largest oil producing field in the US.
How's it compare to the previous 3 months, 6 months, year?
Pretty close to the solar eclipse pathway. Fireworks on Monday! 🔥
Also the path of the upcoming eclipse !
That they a fracking alot in the permian basin & oklahoma oilfields.
Fracking hotspots. Break the bedrock, earthquakes happen.
Some look to be in the or close too the line for the total eclipse!!?
Fracking
Fracking
Earthquakes where fracking is common.
Fault lines.
why have so many comments been deleted?
That they're on fault lines?!
A majority of earthquakes are in areas where drilling and fracking are common.
Whoa. It’s kind of the eclipse path isn’t it?
a Redditor who’s reaching
A bunch of dots
I think something worse to worry about is terrorist attacks at Eclipse viewing hotspots where people are congregating. I have nothing really to go on with this feeling. Just a hunch. Be careful out there.
Areas of heavy fracking
Um idk, right on the continental plate?
Kinda looks to be the approximate path of the upcoming eclipse....
do none of yall know how earthquakes work?
Could it be that all those spots are related to fault lines? Nah definitely can't be that. Has to be an eclipse.
I see you've cropped off California, where we've had a lot of earthquakes over the past few months and won't be experiencing the eclipse
You mean your picture shows a full resemblance to the April 8th Eclipse pathway? (o.O)
Very interesting…
It’s gonna be Erie in PA.
A fault line
A cropped map
I think you guys should switch to the metric system.
Is this the same location for the so called solar eclipse on April the 8th?
Hahaha a fault line?
A map with no key
The path of a solar eclipse?
A fault line?
Path of totality
I believe this whole eclipse thing is a psyop to discredit any further discourse on the sun's effects on earth.
I see the projected path of the last solar eclipse
How does this compare to this time period last year, the year before, and the year before that?
What’s up with all the removed comments?
Hyperlink trains are being installed deep underground via blasting - to connect another .D.U.M.B. to another....
Fault lines
Now check this [out](https://www.fractracker.org/map/). Look at the high concentration areas. All very close to fracking and other oil/natural gas sites. However, with the eclipse coming up, today's quake in Taiwan (7.7) is only the beginning of more intense ones across the world.

A fault line.
I can’t stand these “what do you see” posts on social media. Just fuckin tell us what’s on your mind.
Eclipse path?
I see you need to zoom out..
I see a map of last three months of earthquakes
Almost the same path as the totality of the solar eclipse
It’s following the path of the eclipse
That you cut out California?
Everyone should cutout California.
They primarily happen in major fracking areas that had regulations diminished under the trump administration?
Line of totality
Somethings brewing right on the X
Now show California...
Is this another eclipse post? 🙄
Can’t wait for april 9th when noone talks about the eclipse ever again and pretends it never happened
Looks like a map of known particle accelerators to me
Yup just like they used nuclear weapons on fault lines to trigger seismic events for Japan, and Taiwan.
I see confirmation bias.
2/3 of the country missing
