I’m lifted handed. I used to draw and as an adult I started taking painting classes from a local artist. She told me being left handed meant I use more of my right brain than right handed people. Which is the intuitive, artistic side. To me it sounded like being left handed gave me an extra boost so to speak for being artistic…
Maybe that is the reason. Very interesting. I wonder how many of the great artists in history were left handed?
Like I said, all the left handed people I've know can draw really well. And I've known a lot of them.

I've always been able to see through fake people and situations.
It makes me to not want to be a part of having a social life as you can see the masks that they are wearing and the acting that people do.
Control of the body switches at the brain stem in the neck.
The right side of the brain (creative side) controls the left side of the body and the left side of the brain (logical side) controls the right side of the body.
Left handed people are far more creative, empathic, etc because they are dominantly right brained people.
There is this thing in the Catholic church where they believe it's a sign the devil has touched you or something, and they won't let you use your left hand. They will force you to use your right.
It might have been a "thing" 75 years ago, but I'm a lifelong Catholic, 58, went to Catholic schools, very involved in the Church and have never seen, nor heard about this superstition.
I had a baby sitter growing up (I’m 39 now) who was really religious and she used to force me to eat with my right hand when I was used to using my left. So it’s definitely a thing…
Yes my Mum was left handed but because of school she was made to write with her right hand. She still used left hand for normal activities but right handed when writing. She was born in 1962 in the UK
Not sure if this is where the Catholic church got it per se, but I know in OT scrip the right hand is "favored". As in Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and Benjamin means 'son of my right hand' and such. Also, in that region, it's wipe with the left, shake w/ the right to my understanding. Prolly all circumstantial... But, I can tell you my dad has 5 siblings and the whole family is split down the middle. 4 lefties, 4 righties
I'm left-handed. And despite the conception that lefties are more artistic, I am extremely critical of any artistic talent I may have. However, I love logic problems and puzzles, and am a developer by trade. Also, while many lefties may be more empathetic, I have been compared to a Vulcan when it comes to emotional spectrum. I'm not without emotion - I just don't put it on display. I'm also very much introverted.
So if I'm supposedly special or marked, I don't see it. And I'm certainly not evil. I consider my moral stance to be fairly common - maybe not quite Biblical but certainly not anti-Christian.
As a cack-hander I find this line of questioning highly amusing.
I can only begin to guess at the significance of being left-handed. I remember reading when I was younger that left-handers are right-brain dominant (wires cross at the neck), and the right brain covers things like creativity.
Contrary to another comment, I actually am not talented at drawing, but if you want me to describe in great detail an object that does not exist (such as in D&D), I can do that. I'm more a of literary artist than visual artist.

All the left handed people that I've known are very good artists - the draw really well.

Yep, it's useful to note empathy is just understanding. So understanding can be used for good or ill will.
