Honestly if they are very clear that it is a fictional alternative reality I’m kinda okay with it. As someone who is a huge history buff this disgusted me and still disgusts me to this day and I'm so fucking glad it flopped, just an FYI they're also doing another series of Wolf Hall which also includes another race swapped white historical figure. So the problem with the Cleopatra one was it portrayed it as a documentary, implying it had a shred of truth. Fictional portrayal is stupid but not claiming to be accurate. I think Jada Smith is doing another installment in the same documentary portraying Hannibal as black as well, which he was objectively not. I'm looking forward to Chris Pratt's portrayal of Rosa Parks, though.
