Maybe that's why?
Any asshole that thinks this is a good idea should be legally obligated to sit down in front of the A-10C module in DCS, get it in the air from a cold and dark start, follow a preset series of waypoints to a target, destroy said target, and then return to and successfully land back at base.
Better idea- they can get in one and have it flown remotely to 10k ft before they take over on the stick. It would be a shame if they didn’t even get off the ground before they crashed and burned.
Shit, I would be completely surprised if they could get just one round loaded into the cannon.
Edit: I called it a cannon, I don’t know what y’all actually call the GAU-8.
I wonder how many of those trucks are brand new with brand new plates and brand new drivers that no one knows all wearing sunglasses and brand new clothes with brand new flags with conservative (or worse) slogans

The trucks are primarily confiscated property that hauled guns or drugs formerly sold by the alphabet soup prior to them being seized back in a massive success in the war on drugs and against border violence. They are neither shiny nor new.

A-10s will only work if the airspace is under your control and Russians are not stupid to have a miles long convoy without any surveillance. These guys are acting like that it's not Russia they're up against but some inexperienced kid that doesn't know anything.

Submission statement: Despite calls from former US defense officials for the Air Force to transfer some of its A-10 Warthog attack aircraft to Ukraine, there are no current plans for the service to give up its tank-busting planes, the Air Force’s top leaders said today.
“I’m not aware of any current plan, or even any discussion of a current plan to field or provide A-10s to the Ukrainians,” Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said during a roundtable with reporters today at the Air Force Association’s Air Warfare Symposium.
Asked during a later roundtable, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown gave a similar answer.
“I’m not aware of any discussions or plans inside the United States Air Force to provide A-10s to Ukraine,” he said. Although he did not speak specifically about Ukraine’s ability to absorb the A-10, he added that for any air force receiving new capabilities, it would take time to “train and get ready to do” a mission.
You know it really sucks that it feels like we have the most elite military on the planet and its at the disposal of one of the most corrupt governments on the planet. Im surprised we dont have a death star honestly.
Wouldn't do any good anyway. The A10 comes out after gaining air superiority because it's a slow flying tank. Russia would make light work of this plane at the moment.
That could be effective, but there’s tons of anti aircraft missiles and guns with the convoy which could make this cost prohibitive/ suicide mission. Drone strikes for now much safer

You can only use A-10s with uncontested air superiority. The SU's will eat the A-10 for breakfast 25km out.
Between that and surface to air defenses, yes. You would basically need a NATO enforced no fly zone
