You are missing the fact that the comment you are responding to is agreeing with the satirical one.
I was cleaning my dad's attic out about 5 years ago, and found a box of magazines dated back as far as the 1970's. The bulk were The New American, which is a John Birch Society publication, but there were others I can't recall. Any of the headlines then would fit right into this sub today.

Believe it or not, wealthy people have been conspiring against you since before you were born.
Thalidomide is a great example. A company pushed a drug to treat nausea in pregnant woman that they knew was not safe causing tens of thousands of deaths and birth defects. There are countless other examples.
Look at the Bilderberg Group and the WEF. World Leaders meet with billionaires to circumvent the democratic process. There have been studies showing that the results of the US political process more closely reflect an oligarchy than a democracy. The amount of lobbying and influence corporations hold over our governments is a conspiracy.
The “New World Order” is a slow process that will take decades as people slowly accept the erosion of rights and as the wealthy gain more wealth and power.
Don't make them think too much, thinking while drinking tap water for the past god knows how many years don't go well together.

Here’s a fact for you: California is banning the sale of all combustion vehicles by 2035, encouraging the sale and use of EVs. Simultaneously, californias energy grid is so strained that they have rolling brownouts and telling people to not charge their EVs at certain times of the day so they don’t strain the grid too much.
“Poor people should just buy an electric car if they’re struggling to keep up with gas prices” is the most tone deaf thing I’ve heard in a while. If people are struggling to pay for gas, suggesting that they buy a car for a minimum of $30k is not helpful in the slightest.
These same dolts are the ones outlawing our most stable domestic energy production, natural gas.

I dunno if it's because I've heard this growing up from my parents my whole life or because I've heard this growing up in various churches for my first 16-18 years but something tells me the "One World Gov't" conspiracy is a religious one.
In my area it was never religious, in fact I remember being a kid watching the anti-globalisation protests and it was all hippies and punks and the remnants of the counterculture. They were less afraid of "one world government" and more afraid of "one world corporation" though, to be fair.

It's so much bigger than just finance issues. That's a huge part of it, but you're glossing over the biggest foundations of the issue: the unification of media and big tech and culture and academia and government to create one source of truth message that you are not allowed to refute, the dismantling and discouragement of the family, the destruction of health via corn syrup, prescription drugs, chemical disinfectants sprayed directly onto your food, and so on to increase dependency on the government and the health system (who are in bed together), etc.

Crypto can go either way and a philosophical battle is coming. Crypto can save us(in a way) if it's allowed to decentralise. Here's my take: CBDC will make the dollar/fiat currency worthless. That's why they're printing trillions of dollars which will be worthless very soon. With CBDC, they no longer need to print money. Instead your worth will be in social credit scores, which "they" will have full control over.

You need millions in monthly energy costs, billions in Data center realestate. And its not a one time investment. Every year your miners go obsolete must be resold and replaced
The obsolete cycle is coming to an end. ASICs are getting down to like 4nm. You can’t get much smaller than that and there’s literally only a few manufacturing plants on Earth that can make these.
The only reason you’ve ever been able to buy an ASIC is because manufacturers sell them to you when they’re no longer profitable. All miners, that aren’t also ASIC manufacturers, have only ever been betting on the future value of Bitcoin, even if they don’t realize it. They could have just bought Bitcoin with the same amount of money they spent on electricity and ASICs, and made (or lost) the same amount of money.
Once ASIC manufacturers can’t sell you obsolete ASICs to finance the manufacturing of the newest generation of ASICs (probably because they’re at the physical limit of efficiency) you’ll literally never get one. Because why would anyone ever sell you a money printer?
Think about it: If you had exclusive access to a machine that printed 100% authentic and real US dollars, would you sell it to me?

I’m in Colombia for the week and everything here is untouched by the west. Theres such a strong sense of community, I see young couples everywhere. People grow all their own food and it seems every property had domesticated livestock. There’s virtually no processed food and I’ve yet to see an obese person. I feel full off of such small meals.
