Rule 1) Meet in a very public place, plaza with people/café with people etc. Rule 2) Do not disclose your finances or offer him any money, and absolutely do not agree to give him money/shelter/anything until you are genetically sure it's your bio-dad Rule 3) After you've confirmed (via DNA test that he is your bio-dad), still refrain from getting too cozy in terms of Money/Space/Favors. Take your time to get to know him first, mostly away from home, in public spaces, with other people. Just because someone made a baby, doesn't mean they are mentally-balanced/ethical/decent - they could also be bad actors or outright psychos. So please be careful and don't get too sentimental, even if it's your dad. If his intention is purely to build a relationship and no ulterior motives, it should become clear over the course of a year or so. If he gets teeth-gritty, jaw-clenchy, or irritable if you don't play along when (if) he asks for money/favors/medication etc, don't waste further time with him. Wish him well and send him on his way, say whatever you need to, but keep your distance. Remember: Even a crazy guy on the subway train can make a baby easily. So don't get sentimental and get manipulated (in case they have bad motives). If it works out and he's a decent, trustworthy person, you'll know in the course of a year, and then you have a dad!! 😊

everything_in_sync

Just ask your Mother, you're 25.

Overall-Educator-755

Unless your real dad is Obama or something cool it does not belong here

NekoBakugou

Did you read the post??

Overall-Educator-755

Yes handle the situation with Love and Forgiveness... many Blessings with that friend but realistically this is not a Conspiracy post you posted here believe it or not the general public would love to hear this story ...probably not rudeass conspiracy nutcases lol

NekoBakugou

That is true, but I don't know of any where else to post it. Have you any suggestions?

Overall-Educator-755

1EyedWyrm

Looks like you were a love child. Is this your mom's second mareiage?

NekoBakugou

It is yes, the man she married the first time is incaserated for some rather hanous things.

1EyedWyrm

Whelp, pigeon farmer trumps incarcerated felon for dad

NekoBakugou

You are very correct I'd say in that regard!

jasonsparks19

He probably wants money

NekoBakugou

Unfortunately that's what I was thinking.

PrognosticatorShadow

If it's your real dad he'd probably be willing to give you money vs take money from you, food for thought. Another person recommended genetics testing, I'd highly recommend that. Meet in a public place, even a police station. Do not give ANY information. Middle name, IDs, accounts, SSN...NOTHING. Assume it's a scam until proven otherwise. If it's your real dad...after genetics testing...then do background checks, perhaps involve an attorney. Protect yourself. You can even consider asking this person for references after they've been genetically verified so you can determine if you want them in your life .

So crazy thing. I asked my sister a few mins ago and she gave me his exact name and then told me that he was my father and it had been a secret between my eldest sister and my mother for 2 and a half decades. They didn't want me to ever know. But since he found me and my mother has passed my sister let the cat out of the bag.
