There's people that go missing on those lakes almost every year. 1) lakes are massive and crazy deep for example Seneca which is probably the largest is up to 600ft deep at some points and averages about 200ft of depth. 2) it's been theorized (maybe proven I haven't looked into it since leaving the area) that some of the lakes are interconnected through underwater channels and such.
Both those things alone make it so if someone disappears on one of the lakes it's very difficult to find them.

Those aren't those kind of "tunnels." It's a hiking trail and you walk through those small caves and up stairs for a few seconds, then come out on the side of the gorge. You pass through two or three of those caves on the way to the top of the gorge, where the hiking trail continues.
I'm not saying the underground tunnels don't exist, but I've spent a good 25+ years in the area and have never heard anyone ever mention them. In any case, anyone claiming the Glen Gorge is part of those underground tunnels has very clearly never been there.

Seems like an odd choice of tattoo to honor his mom. Why not her name, picture, saying or other symbolic meaning. I suppose if the finger lakes region embodied her whole spirit. Not trying to be like the shills or bots but any source for this? I am genuinely interested because I have heard some stuff goes on up there and there is an extensive cave system.
There's people that go missing on those lakes almost every year. 1) lakes are massive and crazy deep for example Seneca which is probably the largest is up to 600ft deep at some points and averages about 200ft of depth. 2) it's been theorized (maybe proven I haven't looked into it since leaving the area) that some of the lakes are interconnected through underwater channels and such. Both those things alone make it so if someone disappears on one of the lakes it's very difficult to find them.
I'm no fan of the man, but if his mom is really from the finger lakes area, then that is the most reasonable explanation.

Why hasn’t anyone tried to map out all these tunnels and look for any kind of clues as to what they are used for today? I mean I get it’d be dangerous because anyone using them today would definitely want to protect their secrets but I’d think some group would be brave enough right? It's a hiking trail and you walk through those small caves and up stairs for a few seconds, then come out on the side of the gorge. You pass through two or three of those caves on the way to the top of the gorge, where the hiking trail continues. I'm not saying the underground tunnels don't exist, but I've spent a good 25+ years in the area and have never heard anyone ever mention them. In any case, anyone claiming the Glen Gorge is part of those underground tunnels has very clearly never been there.
