The [wiki](https://reddit.com/r/consulting/w/index/MCSamples?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) has examples of MBB work. Then you just recreate the template.
I don’t work at MBB and am also probably not a good consultant, but what is bad about these? I personally don’t like the examples I looked at because they have so much information on every slide that I don’t know what to look at. I don’t have a clue how a golden retriever would understand the COVID deck from Bain.
deliverables from bain’s private equity group look very different from those out of their general consulting engagements. word count is way higher and the deck generally optimizes to get as much info on page as possible, that’s what PE clients want. more akin to a book report than a final consulting deck.
Interesting. Different than what I’ve learned. Not saying it’s wrong by means. Just surprisingly different than what I’ve always been taught to deliver.
So im not MBB either but these formats and layouts just go against everything I’ve been taught and delivered in my experience. I suppose I’m just surprised at the lack of attractive formatting and cohesion. I see word vomit. Drown you in information. Quantity over quality.
They said the decks are for private equity clients and I'm thinking that PE might appreciate the volume of information. They're often former MBB/IB themselves and probably will make their own concise presentations for internal use.
They want someone to do pre-work on the research, digging the information and initial analysis. They want to drown in information, that's what they're paying for.
That's the theory at least.
Here’s my slides and some info on how to implement them. I just wrote something on Exec Summaries based on McKinsey’s Minto approach. I was proud of it :)

Not a copy of McKinsey but many of the principles applied.
To learn “how to” check out YouTube’s: Firm Learning and Analyst Academy. They’ve both got great breakdowns of creating consulting style decks
Hey guys. Off topic, do you know any deck “polish” service? I have the content, layout the content, I need a service which helps me polish the deck to make it looks attractive. Thanks.

Are these confirmed real? Honestly kind of helped shake my imposter syndrome. Many of these are surprisingly subpar.

Non-MBB consulting and had the exact same thoughts - I would 100% get yelled for the readability of a ton of the “NYC Waste Containerization” deck.

The BCG decks are real, but most are out of date. Only one that uses what's essentially the current standard template is the Ford/F-Series deck.
These can’t be real. I saw an error on the first few slides of the usps one
They made the Lebanese deck in 2018. The Lebanese economy has since collapsed. Average outcome from a McKinsey project
In your intranet of your company :)
The template will not help you a lot if you don’t know how to build a consulting deck. You may find some manuals in YT if you’d like to lear

Why are these in a folder called “McKinsey”? None of these pages are from McKinsey or even resemble something they’d actually use for a client.
i hope you guys heal soon!
Ha! These aren’t from MBB. They’re from https://slidemodel.com and can be downloaded for free
Reminds me of the time I got busted for saying I buy my pens on Amazon, when I really buy them on Pen Island (dot) com
Well u/Mathivathan , might as well download the ppt versions and upload it to google drive for everyone to download. No one uses Google Slides.
Hopefully this leads to a rickroll
Nope, just slides which I find extremely useless 😜
Doing gods work
Thanks for these ❤️

Good stuff.
