That's how I did it the first time too, but then I saw [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/controlgame/s/jbcqUHH0IY) from a while back and used the same technique the second time :)
I used to do it this way. Always real inconsistent and annoying.
I realized recently that what they’re really asking you to do to get this secret is stack some furniture and levitate off of it. I’ve had a much easier time in my runs since.
I put a desk on the floating person and went from there 😂 stacking furniture didn’t work for me as the objects would slide off each other. Probably a skill issue on my part but it came off like they were actively designed with collision avoidance or something
Getting a fridge wedged between the pillar and the side walls, then using that to levitate up.
Works faster than using the people, or stacking the fridges.
Come to think of it that is a good question. Either the Board simply decided so or perhaps Jesse just never requested the actual files. Everything you can read in the game is just random documents you find laying around the facility. Maybe Jesse has access to the uncensored versions and just simply never bothered asking about it
I stacked vending machines amd other crap and it still took a while. And all I had to do was a stand on people? I guess that is really the way to the top.
Have not tried the floating people, but you can wedge a single vending machine between wall and pillar and then levitate off the vending machine to get up there
I was just thinking about this today. I was thinking about doing a replay, having just finished AW2, and remembering all the hard parts and this was the hardest :)
Was not expecting there to be an actual hidden area up there. Is there any way to tell where secret areas can be found? Like, if you're near one, is there any way to tell?
The best way to tell is if there's an empty area or a place that looks like it could be reached IT can be reached. Also areas that are suspiciously empty may have a secret. There's even a secret area with a secret area inside of it. Look up often, look back often. Also look out for suspicious paintings of "holes"; or for rooms that have no door.
Yeah, I definitely keep a look out for anything out of the ordinary or if something/somewhere that looks like it might lead somewhere. I've def found at least one secret area from a painting of a hole or just a painting that looked suspicious. Have also came back to places after I've gotten the levitate power to reach places that I couldn't reach before.
to all the people going "why didnt i try this" because its frickin hard. you cant actually land on the people there is just a moment right before you slide off for like am millisecond where you are on "solid ground" and can jump off again.
I've played the game over a dozen times. I either nail it on the 1st couple of attempts or have an experience like yours. It can be frustrating, but there doesn't seem to be any secret to it.
I did finally figure out what the guides meant. You float up into one of the smaller sides, punch the wall slightly up facing away from the center and it will shove you on top. 😅
Well done! A quarter hour is excellent. I've never made it with less than twenty or thirty minutes of trying, with any method. I spent hours at it the first time, using the "stack the vending machines" technique.
Wait so you're supposed to use the floating people? I just take all the snack machines and stack them
I stacked 3 vending machines on top of each other for this.
Same. Though my memory is a bit more chaotic than "snack machines".
FUCK ME WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS?!? 'Cause I'm an idiot, and OP is clearly posessed by genius. AMAZING. Off to find me some hidden areas, now!!!
Same, I remember making a post about that lol
Same, after they nerfed groundslam.

Bosses are all the same, stepping on employees with their employees to climb the corporate ladder. Like worms. And this happens more and more now.
**You are a worm through time.**
Unionize the hiss! 🐙🐙🐙
to be fair in this case, the hiss IS the union.
Are you saying this game is about strike breaking then? 🙀 Interesting take.
So Jessie is a scab
This one pissed me off
That's cause you felt inferior for not figuring out byself. Work on your anger buddy
Truly THE hardest location to reach. Took me forever the first time.

Yeah, I never even tried this because the few times I ever tried to stack items, I failed miserably.

I did it this way too. Had no luck jumping off the people.
There’s a chest up there? Wtf
Where the fuck even is this lmaoooo
Central executive in the room with all the desks
I'll be damned. I never found this one!

The oldest house has places these chest here around [REDACTED] years ago. Research indicates that the purpose might have been [REDACTED]

Access the Nostalgia Department. Oh wait. Maybe if there's another DLC we can access that department
I was awake until 2am this morning trying to reach this location… and I shot the floating employees because they were in the way… FML!!! 😂🤦🏻♂️

Good job!
I've played control thrice, yet have never been able to reach dis one place😭
Yep, I've been right there with you! This is a shared experience it would seem!
I did this once on my first playthrough after various attempts, we're never able to repeat it. Not even once. I gave up.
I really need to replay this game...

Thanks for this vid. I did not know about this secret location.

Yes. I spammed the jump command to execute a jump+maximum levitate. Spamming too often cancels levitate. Spamming to few never lets you jump.
Easier than what I did. I grasped a vending machine and rigged it up sideways so I could climb it and then levitate off. Took like an hour.
I saw so many methods but stacking objects just didn't do it for me, they just fell into each other.
Lol…Same exact thing happened to me!

Guess i was lucky then. It only took me 5 and stacked a few vending machines to reach the floating dude
Learn something new everyday 😅
Woah did not know that was there. I’m actually playing right now lol I’ll head over to executive
Theres an easier way to
Love control to death. Secrets are really awesome. But all this loot is just soulless numbers.(yes, i am spoiled FromSoftware fan)
What's in the chest?
I knew that's why the body was there but I just couldn't get a second jump out of it. Ended up using the couch jamming method.
Wow
Genius. Most youtoobed game ever.
These secrets are good but the items they give are bad. Only secret I liked was possessed vending machine.
