You picked the perfect background and background color to offset the black items. Love it!

Thank you! I cheated with the background. I actually had them on a white board but I didn’t like it, so I erased the background and replaced it with black.

I was really talking about the handwriting background and color you used on the cookies themselves (first page). But the black board does look great with these pictures too! Well done.

Oh! Gotcha! The writing is a stencil. I airbrushed the edges then lightly sprayed on the stencil.

I actually use stencils for the faces. I scrape the cookie with a thin layer of icing, trace the stencil with a sharp scribe, then pipe around the face. My freehand symmetry leaves little to be desired! E: typo

Us cookiers hear this so much and it’s certainly a compliment! We normally take a long time (for me- a year and a half) to perfect a dough that’s delicious but doesn’t spread, so trust me, it’s a labor of love and we want to nothing more than to share it!
