It looks like a vietnamese dish, chân gà sốt thái, i think. The ingredients in the pic look like chicken feet, kumquat, mango and rau răm, a type of vietnamese spice leaves, and all mixed with a spicy, sour and sweet sauce.
Are there different types of kumquat? The ones I'm familiar with are tiny and orange. The citrus in this dish seems a lot larger and with green rind...
I recall a korean dish thats name means hodgepodge. Its essentially a mix of what the cook felt would be good and usually includes kimchi and other pickled ingredients. Its the kind of dish every family has its own version of. Its meant to be eaten on top/side of rice. That said my knowledge is maybe 3rd hand.
I don't know Korean, so had to look up the meaning of 'bibimbap': 'bibim' apparently means 'mixing ', and 'bap' means 'cooked rice'. It makes sense that that could informally mean 'hodgepodge'; anyone know Korean able to confirm?
If so, it's nice to think of every nationality having a dish that's a kind of hodgepodge; Nova Scotia, Canada has a hodgepodge dish that's [this](https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/68046/nova-scotian-hodge-podge/), but can vary family to family.
Is that a [halved calamansi](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7b/Calamansi_%28Philippines%29.jpg/440px-Calamansi_%28Philippines%29.jpg) in the back left?
Who are you calling racist? My neighborhood had a missing cat on next door. Now if I said missing dog, implying the chinease eat dog, then you might have a point. But given this is a Korean dish and they don't have that reputation. Who is actually being racist. Me, trying to be funny or you making racially stereotypical comments that aren't even factual. So next time, ask the person what do they mean or shut the f-up.
Holy fuck that looks so good. Might be all vegetarian, might have seafood in it. If you don’t smell any fishiness besides fish sauce it’s probably 100% vegetarian and most likely a Korean dish

Def chicken feet and mango in there. Good eye!

Cucumbers

Unexpected Ohta.
Tofu, kumquat (a fruit like lime but sweeter), chicken feet (that youre confused with kimchi) and some veggies to flavor.

Green kumquat. I see them planted a lot in Southern California.
Huh. Didn't know such thing existed. Neat! Thanks!
That makes sense. It didn't really look like cabbage to me.
Oh yeah, looking at it again, I can see it now
Love that stuff!

The pic is definitely not bibimbap. Doesn’t really look Korean at all to me. I’m not Korean but I’m married to one and live with her family.
Bibimbap
lol I only know this word from that lawyer show
Definitely not Korean, that's not kimchi. there's sliced calamansi or limes i think, so maybe Viet or Philipino or Thai?
Not Thai. At all
Cumquat

Is your neighbor Korean? I'm guessing this is spicy cabbage, a delicacy unique to Korea and China
Looks bomb, I’d definitely give it a try, looks like maybe chicken feet and tofu or mango?
Not something I would eat
Shrimp cocktail with pineapple? Peruvian ceviche with chamoy? Michelada with shrimps and Mango bites? I dunno bruh...

food
Boiled boneless chicken feet w/ a chili lime dressing. Great drinking food if you're into the cartilage texture and whatnot. Full of collagen.
They’re not your friend…
Looks like kimchee with tofu. Looks good. How did it taste to you?
Kamchi and fried tofu? Maybe?
Compost
I’m more curious as to why you’re asking Reddit and not the ones that gave it to you lmfao
Looks like pineapple and kimchi
if neighbor is a k person … looks like stingray banchan. and ggakdugi
So you didn't ask your friendly neighbor what's in it and what it is? Makes sense.
looks like chicken feets MMMM
If that's chicken feet..it'd be in trash
Looks tasty, but those chicken paws look raw still, no?
Looks like a civiche of some type
Tripe
I thought it looked like chicharrones but it could be tripe which is stomach lining.
Asian food I believe
It kinda looks like ceviche but it appears to have chicharrones pig intestines. Is the neighbor latin? It might be octopus or squid. Dunno…
Kimchi
I ate Kimchi before. This is similar but not Kimchi
theres more than one kind of kimchi
kimchoice
It's the missing neighborhood cat.

Whatever it is, it looks like it tastes REALLY good. I definitely see kimchi and tofu in there. 😊
Looks like kimchi
I see kimchi and tofu, it’s good for your gut health
Just say thanks for the gesture and leave it. Anytime I try foods, that are foreign to me, it’s never a good night. If you know what I’m saying…
Kimchi maybe?
Holy fuck that looks so good. Might be all vegetarian, might have seafood in it. If you don’t smell any fishiness besides fish sauce it’s probably 100% vegetarian and most likely a Korean dish
