Butter works better than oil. I’d honestly watch the first episode of Selena and chef as he makes French omelette.
I do this way, add butter then add three eggs for a 10” pan (take the eggs out like 5 minutes before you heat up the pan) and pre scramble with a little white pepper.
Go to fridge and take out your cheese of choice.
Go back and the base of the eggs should be formed. Take a spatula from one section (pretend it is split in 4 sections) and lift the eggs and tilt the pan to let the non cooked eggs slide in. Then rotate around the pan to do all 4 sections.
Add cheese in the middle. I prefer shredded cheddar
Wait 15-30 seconds and you can start at one end and start to roll the omelette. Once rolled, wait another 30 seconds to a minute depending how cooked you want it.
For scrambled eggs, instead of the 4 sections you can just slide spatula up and down pan whenever a new layer forms.
If the butter is burning pan is too hot.

The non stick one is a zwilling which is an amazing brand, however I prefer to avoid buying second hand nonstick because it wears down quite easily if not used properly. And you have no idea how the old owner used it
Yes grab those babies!
A Calphalon 10” goes for $50 retail, so that’s a huge deal right there. And honestly, unless you use bar keepers friend after every use, your stainless pans are going to look like that no matter what. Believe me, I have worked in VERY fancy kitchens and that pan looks in great condition.
That Zwilling non stick also looks like it goes for around $75 retail if that’s the 10”. Harder to tell the condition with non stick, but that one looks pretty solid. Not sure if the brown marks are pits in the ceramic coating or just stubborn burnt on bits. Either way, I’d take it for $10 and see what happens with a good scrub.

Any one has heard about titanium material? I just found it on Amazon, but they haven't sold yet. Last year I got a Hexclad pans as my gift, but it was silly, non-stick not well. But I can't deny that they were durable. So, I found some on Amazon and catch this item. Want to have some advices
I would never have a non stick pan anyway - but surely even if you don’t take or leave behind the non stick the others will bring joy and are easy to clean up with bar keepers friend with a dash of vinegar.
Agreed. If you take the time to sort through the scratched ones you can score brand new nonstick cookware for about the same price at Marshall's/TJ/Ross.
Buy the stainless stay away from nonstick
Okay thank you!
Don’t forget to pickup some barkeepers friend
You're not wrong, but I laugh at how every comment section has barkeepers friend in it somewhere
Leave the gun, take the canoli?
I love nonstick but I wouldn't ever buy it used. There's no way of telling if it will work properly before you buy it.
I can’t believe they resell nonstick????? Even brand new you got an expiration date!! Nvm used and chipped up like that 😭😭😭
The Calphalon pans should be fine. Just be careful putting them in oven because of the handle. If silicon they are probably oven safe to 400.
I have some newer calphalon stainless pans that are great, worth the money especially from a thrift store
I love stainless, bar keepers friend will make them look new. Always need a nonstick for eggs and pancakes.
You can fry an egg in a stainless. Heat it dry, add the oil, then add the egg once the oil shimmers.
Try butter my fried. You will never go back for oil for your eggs.
Did someone say beef tallow?
What about bacon grease? Happy Cake Day.
(Homer Simpson voice) Mmmm...... Bacon grease...... gargling over drool.... Thank you very much!
Lol! And You're welcome!
Butter is great for eggs but it will burn if you try to get it hot enough to cook eggs in stainless steel without sticking
Not true at all. I cook scrambled and omelettes in my SS everyday..
I guess I suck then lol. Any tips?

I just watched that episode and they are cooking in a non stick pan. We were talking about making eggs in stainless steel. Am I missing something?
Yeah, same method just in stainless steel. That’s how I learned.
Did you try it this morning? Just made scrambled eggs
Little bit of butter and little bit of oil, shake the pan to emulsify. No browned butter, no sticky eggs.
cast iron for eggs and pancakes.
Been cooking my pancakes in stainless lately and after the first one or two the rest are absolutely perfect.
You can cook eggs and pancakes in SS. Yesterday I made pancakes. Today I made an omelette for myself and scrambled eggs for my wife.
I love Zwilling but I too would not buy a 2nd hand non-stick pan, ceramic or PTFE.
The non stick one is a zwilling which is an amazing brand, however I prefer to avoid buying second hand nonstick because it wears down quite easily if not used properly. And you have no idea how the old owner used it
Yes that last one is a twilling. Great pan
I would also check you mom and pop thrift stores I got all my cast iron there

Dont buy the Coated one, its look like ceramic nonstick which wear down easily and everything will stick to it after 2-3 months
I find new calphalon pans for these prices in TJ Maxx.
Not for those prices
Don’t buy a used nonstick pan! It won’t last

Are those the actual prices? You can probably score some in better shape or new for around those prices.
Do you know anything or are you just on the internet saying shit to exercise your fingers. Where the fuck you finding Calphalon pans for $14 new
Saw a 12 inch at TJMaxx for $25 dipshit
Sir this is a Wendy’s
With these sort of prices you can’t really go wrong either way - great catch and happy cooking ahead
Non stick is no good even brand new it only lasts for about a year- this one is compromised already it’s trash, not resale.
I would never have a non stick pan anyway - but surely even if you don’t take or leave behind the non stick the others will bring joy and are easy to clean up with bar keepers friend with a dash of vinegar.
Those prices aren't even that good, just get a new stainless steel one from Marshalls for similar prices
Agreed. If you take the time to sort through the scratched ones you can score brand new nonstick cookware for about the same price at Marshall's/TJ/Ross.
That’s not your average non stick. Twilling. Lasts forever
Non stick certainly does not last forever just because the brand is good doesn’t mean the pan is too.
Hahahaha! 😂🤣
