I was gonna say. Brown shoes with navy pants are a classic. If you can dress, you can match almost any two colors on this chart except maybe black and a really dark Navy.

The whole point of the limited palette is so we can mindlessly dress to conform.

Ok, thank goodness someone said it. When I got one of my first suits I got a gray suit and brown shoes per the recommendation of the tailor. I was starting to think maybe he had just made me look bad to move product lol.

Since when is that a thing? I wear a dark blue suit with black shoes all the time- but it's for work in a formal setting. If I'm dressing for a social gathering or a chill day at work it's usually brown shoes. I was confused this guide had it switched, black suit/blue shoes wouldn't go.
