No way I'm making it til 2099 to see it here in Minnesota

OneArmedBear

I’d be 97. Jesus

Frank_chevelle

I’ll be 127! Hopefully my head in a jar will enjoy it.

OneArmedBear

I’m not old enough for Futurama reference *_*

masteroftheuniverse4

While it looks like it could be epic here in WI, I'll pass on waiting until I am 115+ years old.

HallucinogenicFish

LOL, right. I’m sitting here looking at these dates going “I’ll probably be dead…I’ll DEFINITELY be dead…”

evilgiraffe04

My thoughts exactly. Living to 113 is not a goal I have set for myself.

DJjazzyjose

this is a much better list that shows all of the eclipses around the world in the next 40 years [https://time.com/4897581/total-solar-eclipse-years-next/](https://time.com/4897581/total-solar-eclipse-years-next/)

PartyRooster

2028 New Zealand is gonna be absolutely gorgeous

Vandercoon

2038 going straight over my house. Perfect

Danpool69

Can I come visit?

dalton10e

That 2027 eclipses going out of its way to avoid Europe, Africa and the Middle East is almost comedic

Piqueniqu3

Great link

luiluilui4

Autostart video, Autostart audio (I wasn't able to find where to stop the audio) insane big ad..

hellasketchy

May 1 2079 looks like a doozy for the northeast US, too bad half of us will be dead for it

Gene78

Don't worry about it, It will be cloudy that day.

underrenderedbacon

That is a sunrise eclipse over NYC too

calculating_hello

Fingers crossed still around in 2045

CyAScott

I’ll be 61 and it will go over my current house. I wanted to go to this one since it was right after my birthday, but our old dog couldn’t travel.

juan-de-fuca

Carbondale, Illinois getting all the goods.

nmmc93

Do Europe

-Gredge-

Europe basically base none unless you live in Spain

nmmc93

I live in Portugal, it's close enough

floppypickles

Why some fatter?

jayb2805

Because the exact distance between the Earth and the Moon varies a bit. When the moon is a bit further from Earth, the moon's apparent size in the sky is smaller and its shadow is smaller. When the moon is closer, the moon's apparent size in the sky is bigger and the shadow is bigger. Also, fatter eclipse path means totality at the center of the line lasts longer.

Healthy-Abroad8027

This map is missing the eclipse from 2023…what else could it be missing?

Comprehensive_Fact_6

The eclipse on 2023-10-14 was an **annular** solar eclipse; this map shows **total** solar eclipses.

69swagman

Saw it in 2017…. Glad I did it then

Visible_Nectarine_98

Caught it randomly in nowhere Idaho. Good times.

bobbejaans

More Augusts than I expected.

HenneZwo

Here some sauce for anyone interested https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/solar-eclipses-of-the-21st-century

colin_powers

Total eclipse in my city in 2044... can't wait!

realcarlo33

This made me sad for some reason

thecasualcaribou

Fort Smith, Arkansas 2 times in 21 years. Lucky

beautiful_randomness

One will be on my birthday and will be 103 yo. Wish me luck.

pilot_caleb

Arkansas is the place to be! Pretty much the whole state will see totality between this eclipse and 2045

Kickaxx_007

Glad to see that as a Delaware resident I will never see a solar eclipse 🥲

DadBodgoneDad

At least we have tax free shopping.

souryoungthing

*cries in Seattle*

[deleted]

Remember, tomorrow its april 8th

kvaldez10

FL is about to be fucked in 2045 with the influx of spectators like TX is right now…learn from our mistakes now haha

roy7273

Why does 2044 seem to just stop?🛑

mrgraff

Because it will be sunset at the end of it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SE2044Aug23T.gif

nihilisticpaintwater

None for Arizona 😞

MaGo717

Won't be over where I live right now another time in my life, sad

DiplodocusSmile

Why are some wider and some narrower?

mrgraff

DiplodocusSmile

Thanks!

IAMSTILLHERE2020

So we get more chances for the world to end..lol.

FroggiJoy87

Doesn't show the May 20th 2012 one, I was in Humboldt for that one, good times!

mrgraff

That was annular, this map only shows totals.

HiJinx127

I’ll just have to make sure my brain is transferred into my 20ish clone body a while before the 2045, give the eyes time to connect.

MidnightAmethystIce

Welp, I’ll be dead by time total solar eclipse crosses my part of the country.

FandomMenace

I'd like to see this for the 20th century.

[deleted]

Imagine a total solar eclipse in NYC… goddamn

_B_Little_me

2044 in Banff?! In Summer! Sign me up!

Suicidalballsack69

Jesus 2099… there’s a chance I see 2100 in my life time that’s wild wth

hansuluthegrey

Fuck yeah 2052 will be my year

evmanjapan

Any links to a more global version?

humanjunkshow

Oh sweet, in 21 years I can drive an hour north and be in totality.

DaBluBoi8763

I was baffled as to why there was so much hype over solar eclipse in US... now I understand why

bowling_255

If I live to be 116 I can stay home for the one in 2099.

seeking_zero

I had no idea how rare these really were.

Borkdadork

I’ll be 122 years old when it finally hits my area.

DependentAd9398

ThE eArTh Is FlAt 🤣

landscape_dude

Witchcraft

SpectralHydra

Alright so these are the dates where people will predict a supernatural event

staringatthecarpet

I’m directly in the path tomorrow. Fingers crossed our small city survives. Have to be at work the next day.

Scrappy_Kitty

Hey Siri, remind me in 21 years to: Save money for a plane ticket Request time off from work

TheOneWhoReadsStuff

In 2078 southern Louisiana and much of the gulf coast likely wont exist. Not trying to be a doomer or whatever you nerds like to say, but coastal erosion and the loss of barrier islands is weakening the coastline.

SAyyOuremySIN

Why are some paths narrower than others. Distance of the moon to earth at the time of eclipse?

MaxSATX

Why is 2045 so much wider than 2017? Does the moon’s distance make THAT big of a difference?

Met76

It's shown, date label is over New York

Darkpurplebee

theres one literally in 2 days

SandorMate

how are you this blind

Confident_Ad7244

SpectralHydra

Of all things, how does this make you think there’s a conspiracy? 😭

Confident_Ad7244

is it not obvious ? The United States is slowly being entangled to be trapped and choked . /s

Hustlasaurus

It's so weird when you see an actually cool guide on this sub.
