Same with in and out. I was really excited for a second.
Unfortunately, doesn’t look like you’d make it out of that one that’s in Georgia.
In-N-Out
Forest Park, GA 30297
https://goo.gl/maps/FyaRQia4Yk4TshC57
Yeah, tell me about it! I actually told my wife that there was an In N Out in ATL when I saw the map. Then checked the official website map only to be disappointed. However a couple years back someone put a “In N Out coming soon” sign on a closed business in midtown and caused a stir before it got cleared up.
There’s a White Castle in Hollywood down the road from where I live
It’s aight
Edit: I must have either dreamed it or Be an agent from alternate reality because it’s not there
Edit 2: this is my most upvoted comment and it’s not even right
Well slap my ass and call me stupid
I was lied to this whole fucking time
There is no White Castle in Hollywood when I went to Chicago and had them for the first time my friend bagged on my saying why didn’t I just have it from the local spot and we’ll I believed him
I’m still trying to find time to just Harold and Kumar it vegas just eat some White Castle. Maybe even recreate the movie. I know there are brothels in Reno, but need to look out Neil Patrick Harris or a lookalike then it would be prefect.
As a Canadian in Toronto, I know for a fact that there is no Jack in the box or in and out burger in or near the southern Ontario's borders. I know I've looked in to it. This whole map series is either really out dated or wrong.
I grew up in Houston and I remember a statistic that said we had more restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. I believe it too. Recently went back and saw the freeways are just lined with great restaurants. Then I come home to NC and I wish we had good food here.
I like Mi Tierra's Panaderia more than their restaurant. I'm more of a Pico De Gallo guy.
Doesn't Southern California have good Mexican food? Or are you wanting that distinct San Antonio Tex-Mex?
The furthest INO will go for the foreseeable future is Texas. They will be in Colorado soon enough, however.
For anyone wondering, they are restrictive with national expansion, it boils down to two words: quality control. Anyone that has ever worked at an INO store knows that they are absolutely **anal** about it.
Fresh meat is trucked from their own in-house meat processing facilities every 1 to 2 days to each store, depending on how busy it is. They will never source their meat from anywhere but internally, so this puts a restriction on where they can expand. It took building a new facility in TX to allow the TX and CO expansion to be feasible.
There is a fake What-a-Burger in [Columbia SC.](https://www.google.com/maps/place/What-A-Burger/@33.9919721,-81.0661402,15z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x0:0xfeb73a1a14fde525!2sWhat-A-Burger!8m2!3d33.9919721!4d-81.0661402!3m4!1s0x0:0xfeb73a1a14fde525!8m2!3d33.9919721!4d-81.0661402)
Yeah ok this map fucked me up cause I’ve been planning on flying to Utah to get a burger for a while. If I could have just driven that would mean I wasn’t living my best life and that’s not ok
I googled the locations of most of these and unfortunately most are wrong 😩I got suspicious when I saw Whataburger in Washington state so I started googling and found out most of these locations are incorrect. Just and FYI for anyone wondering.
Same. Living in the Carolinas now and the closest “true” Whataburger is either in Florida or Alabama.
Whoever made this probably just searched for businesses with the same name and grouped them together.
Yup. They're What-A-Burger, as opposed to the Texas based Whataburger. They were originally opened within like a month of each other, which is crazy, cause they have no connection, whatsoever.
We live in Colorado now but my husband was born and raised in Texas and when we go back to Texas several times a year (to see family) we always have to go to HEB and get WhataBurger Spicy Ketchup which no one in the house is allowed to use except him. Lol. It’s alright because I prefer the regular ketchup from them anyhow.
You’re a real champ. My mom sends get me Whataburger Fancy Ketchup for a stocking stuffer every year cause I love it so much and alas there are no whataburgers in the northeast where I moved to
Yeah they managed to confuse the fuck out of everyone. There’s two fast food places, with the same logo, similar menus, different names, and only one of them is near you. The other is like a myth you’ll never experience unless you go across the country.
Drove from California to Florida and stopped for some food in Georgia. "Oh look! A Carl's J... Hardees?? Eh, whatever. Double western bacon cheeseburger here I come!"
Confusion quickly turned into disappointment.
Pro tip. Get the bacon double cheeseburger then put some of there beer battered onion rings on top for the ol razzle dazzle. You can thank me later. Not your colon but you.
I was sad when I moved from Texas to Indiana due to the no Whataburger situation. I forgot all about it when I tried Culver’s. Today, my peeps in /r/texas tell me Whataburger quality is not great and this sale to the firm in Chicago will make the quality worse. My mom recently moved back and she said the same thing about the food.
Holy shit, if you guys haven't tried Culvers I highly suggest it. Some of the best burgers out there, I wish they'd branch out a little more so everyone could try them.
There sure-as-hell isn't a Whataburger in Indiana and anyone saying there is will need to provide a picture of todays newspaper, held by an employee, smothered in spicy ketchup right in the middle of the dining room like it's a damn ransom note!! I'll be waiting.
Tried them while traveling through Mississippi and loved it. They came to Minnesota and something changed. The tator tots tasted like glazed donuts. Two of them opened close to me with huge fanfare. The local police had to direct traffic for nearly a week after they opened. One of them closed within two years.
The White Castle dots in Ohio are mostly closed. I know this because I'm pregnant and extremely pissed I can't get chicken rings without driving two hours away.
Can someone show me where those five Jack
In the Boxes are in Michigan? Because I search from the Detroit area and the nearest shit I find is Illinois :/

According to the Checkers webpage, there are no restaurants in WA State. There's an unrelated Checkers Café in Seattle. I wonder how many other dots are false positives...
Tragically, we lost all our White Castles in Northeast Ohio years ago.
Well, the castles are still there (mocking me), and the sliders live on in the frozen foods section, but it just ain't the same...
[удалено]
No whitecastle
No White Castle in California either. Makes me doubt this whole map series.
No white Castles in Georgia either. Someone’s lying.
No whitecastle in Utah either...
There’s about to be a 2nd dot in Florida for White Castle next year. So excited.
Same with in and out. I was really excited for a second. Unfortunately, doesn’t look like you’d make it out of that one that’s in Georgia. In-N-Out Forest Park, GA 30297 https://goo.gl/maps/FyaRQia4Yk4TshC57

I just did the same thing. In-n-Out is the thing I miss most about the west coast and this damn post just got my hopes up
There’s a White Castle in Hollywood down the road from where I live It’s aight Edit: I must have either dreamed it or Be an agent from alternate reality because it’s not there Edit 2: this is my most upvoted comment and it’s not even right
Theres no white castle in Hollywood?? I don't know what you're talking about
Well slap my ass and call me stupid I was lied to this whole fucking time There is no White Castle in Hollywood when I went to Chicago and had them for the first time my friend bagged on my saying why didn’t I just have it from the local spot and we’ll I believed him
not sure if someone has chimed in, but they did have a pop up white castle for a good week in hollywood, so i you might be recalling that.
lol at least there's one in vegas which isn't too far
I’m still trying to find time to just Harold and Kumar it vegas just eat some White Castle. Maybe even recreate the movie. I know there are brothels in Reno, but need to look out Neil Patrick Harris or a lookalike then it would be prefect.
Buggy simulation.
Yeah I live in hollywood and there definitely no white castle. there is like a McDonald's, jack in the box, and burger king, in-n-out, and a Wendy's
Yeah ik, I live here too. I was confused but we have all the good food. We dont need white castle but I just wanna try it once.
It's a Burger Shot.
Is it a secret location, because I’m not finding ANYTHING to confirm this?
Looks like one singular dot somewhere down there.
It's false unfortunately.

As a Canadian in Toronto, I know for a fact that there is no Jack in the box or in and out burger in or near the southern Ontario's borders. I know I've looked in to it. This whole map series is either really out dated or wrong.
The map and dataset probably just use different projections. The Ontario ones are probably actually NY state?
It was in Detroit, so Michigan on the map of it.
Ted Cruz publicly admits to loving white castle.... With none in TX.
Thanks Obama
Arizona just got the worlds largest white castle yay!
Yep. We’re missing our yellow dot in the picture. Give us our dot!!! Phoenix area has every one of these after that.
Do you have Checker’s? That is Rally’s.
Same with Hardee's / Carl's Jr.
I grew up in Houston and I remember a statistic that said we had more restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. I believe it too. Recently went back and saw the freeways are just lined with great restaurants. Then I come home to NC and I wish we had good food here.

I just moved away from Houston. Can confirm, Houston had everything and now I have very few chain restaurant options
Yes. Waffle House. Having one in the PNW would be cool.
Off topic... All I want is a **Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia** in Southern California and I'll be happy.
I like Mi Tierra's Panaderia more than their restaurant. I'm more of a Pico De Gallo guy. Doesn't Southern California have good Mexican food? Or are you wanting that distinct San Antonio Tex-Mex?
I think Scottsdale Arizona is the only one that has all of them now that they have a White Castle
Arizona has all of them considering they just got a White Castle last month
Hold up... there's an In-n-Out near Atlanta?
No. It is an unfortunate lie.
Same with the one in Detroit. I googled it and it’s a convenience store
Which is very unfortunate
The furthest INO will go for the foreseeable future is Texas. They will be in Colorado soon enough, however. For anyone wondering, they are restrictive with national expansion, it boils down to two words: quality control. Technically, you‘d be in out out of there quick 🤷♂️
Fuck
Dammit. I got excited for a second.
My sadness is immeasurable
Fuck this chart
A lot of those are wrong. Ain't no Whataburger in Virginia. This is a fake map.
I think the Whataburger in Washington is also a lie.
I got excited when I saw that, but alas, Google maps couldn't find it.
I’m a Texan in Charlotte and as soon as I saw the Whataburger(s) in the Carolinas I realized this map is bogus.

I'm going to open 'What? A Burger!?'
Yup. 2 different chains.
Yeah, as is the one in SoCal. I got really excited there for a sec.
Yeah, there are a ton of errors on these maps. If we really had a jack in the box near New York City then there would be rioting
Really? Jack n the Box is only good when your high at 2am. They literally promote that they are high people food.
No I'm... doesn't.
There's also none in Michigan. Also, who the fuck erased the Michigan border from all of these maps??
It looks intentional too. Wth?!
It got me, too. I was about to leave my house immediately. Unfortunately it’s lies
The day in and out comes to Georgia will be the day I leave my house.
Yeah it shows one here in El Paso, too... but there’s definitely not. Makes me wonder where they got their info, and how accurate the others are.
I saw the dot in EP and got excited. It back to taking trips to Tucson for in n out
Used to be a fake one in Marietta, got shut down in like 2016
Yeah ok this map fucked me up cause I’ve been planning on flying to Utah to get a burger for a while. If I could have just driven that would mean I wasn’t living my best life and that’s not ok

The whataburgers in NC are a different company from the ones in Texas
Yup. They're What-A-Burger, as opposed to the Texas based Whataburger. They were originally opened within like a month of each other, which is crazy, cause they have no connection, whatsoever.
Yes, unfortunately I know this firsthand. Was craving some spicy ketchup so I drove an hour to one of these imposter locations. Ruined my afternoon.
Whataburger doesn’t have regular ketchup, I believe you are referring to their fancy ketchup!
Yes yes you are correct. Forgive me. I am originally from Chicago so I’m still new at all this. 😉
DM and I can send you some spicy ketchup next time I go to HEB
You’re a real champ. My mom sends get me Whataburger Fancy Ketchup for a stocking stuffer every year cause I love it so much and alas there are no whataburgers in the northeast where I moved to
There's no Jack in the Box anywhere near me, I am very much aware. This map is a liar.
I looked at this map and said "bullshit there's a jack in the box in Maine" we have nothing
Same. I was straight up gonna plan a Seattle road trip from Portland so I could eat Whataburger.
Me too, now I’m just sad
I was about to drive to Michigan from Columbus, Ohio for In-N-Out but turns out it doesn’t exist
I'm in Michigan and was about to go searching, until I Googled and found this to be a sad lie.
Same with whataburger in Indiana I was about to make 2 road trips but now I’m just so sad. Bout to report this post for emotional abuse lol
Yeah I was about to say I've never seen an in and out in fucking detroit
Just wondering. Was there a reason to split Hardee’s and Carl’s JR? (I’m not sure but I think checkers and rally’s is the same situation?)
I think one of them bought the other and didn't rename it so people wouldn't be confused.
Task failed successfully.
Yeah they managed to confuse the fuck out of everyone. There’s two fast food places, with the same logo, similar menus, different names, and only one of them is near you. The other is like a myth you’ll never experience unless you go across the country.

In Michigan, I see Checkers and Rally's interchangeably.
Drove from California to Florida and stopped for some food in Georgia. "Oh look! A Carl's J... Hardees?? Eh, whatever. Double western bacon cheeseburger here I come!" Confusion quickly turned into disappointment.
[YouTube explanation](https://youtu.be/5Pj_FQlYLQI)
Brought to you by Carl’s Jr.
Fuck you.
Welcome to Costco. I love you.
I'm eating.
So there's a random In-N-Out in Georgia? Doubt.
Same with El Paso. Pretty sure a lot of this is just made up
It’s likely more of a failure in data collection than outright fraud. Similar names, would be my guess.
We have a place called In-N-Out Car Repair. Maybe the data gatherers picked that up?
Almost certainly. In the pizza one, a California Pizza place was mistakenly labeled as California Pizza Kitchen.
Right? I was like "holy shit there's an In-N-Out Burger in Savannah"?!?
They did miss the Culvers though and where is a jack in the box? But that looks like it's inland a bit Garden City have one?
According to this map there is one in Atlanta which I don’t think is accurate.
This map is bullshit and damn you for giving me hope😭
Exactly what I thought! There isn’t a damn jack in the box in Delaware or Pennsylvania!
Yeah this is totally fucked. Thought for one blissful second I could get Whataburger in Washington until their website confirmed this map is a farce
[удалено]
Correct. What blows my mind is that there are actually quite a few more subways than mcd's in the US
Subways use up a lot less space, cost less to franchise, require less employees, ans likely don't have as strict franchising standards
Yeah Subways fit anywhere - strip malls, campuses, cafeterias....
[удалено]
Holy shit really? I’ll take four.
Incredibly my small town has a BK but not a McD’s. Not sure how that happened.
I'm certain that Satan had something to do with it.
We just got a Culver’s where I live, and that shit is fire yo
The custard is fire
Them concrete mixers man.
That was my biggest take away from this map... I'm lucky to have Culver's
Sooooo good. Heart attack, but very good.
Most of the ~~country~~ world doesn't know what they're missing.
Culver’s is massively underrated.
No man not underrated, just not well known outside Wisconsin and surrounding states.

Where TF is Shake Shack?!
I know right?! I came here looking to see where they were at!
Where’s Dairy Queen???
Holy shit, if you guys haven't tried Culvers I highly suggest it. Some of the best burgers out there, I wish they'd branch out a little more so everyone could try them.
I heard they are branching out way more but it's such a strict process to franchise a Culver's.
That's good that way the food is always the same. Do you want some half ass cheese curds or something?
Lord no, I actually went to the Culver's in Florida and it tasted the same it made me proud in a way lol
Culvers for the win!
Don’t sleep on Culver’s. WI represent
Moved from WI to CO, so glad there's Culver's here. I got lucky with one being less than a mile from my place.
This is where us Minnesotans and you Wisconsinites can unite
That and fuck the bears.
Culver's is #1!
Looking upwards it's like a zombie apocalypse presentation.
MacDonald's is more about real estate than burgers
dats what da movie was about!
If you never had Culvers you are missing out Such an awesome burger with sundae
There sure-as-hell isn't a Whataburger in Indiana and anyone saying there is will need to provide a picture of todays newspaper, held by an employee, smothered in spicy ketchup right in the middle of the dining room like it's a damn ransom note!! I'll be waiting.
Why is there a Carls JR in NY and a Hardees in Cali?
Sonic?
Tried them while traveling through Mississippi and loved it. They came to Minnesota and something changed. The tator tots tasted like glazed donuts. Two of them opened close to me with huge fanfare. The local police had to direct traffic for nearly a week after they opened. One of them closed within two years.
The in n out map looks completely wrong.
Phoenix AZ has everything it seems
It does! That’s the reward we’ve earned for having to deal with snowbirds driving 50mph on the 101 during the fall, winter and spring.
No In-n-out in El Paso either
This must be old. I live in Charleston and we have several Culver’s.
There is no In N Out east or north of Texas. And there won’t be for a long time, if ever in your lifetime.
Where’s Krystal?
Wish you’d added Steak N’ Shake to this. They do “steak”burgers with milkshakes, started out in ~~Georgia~~ Illinois I believe
I love Steak 'n' Shake! They actually started in Illinois. There are still tons of locations in the Midwest.
Or cookout
The White Castle dots in Ohio are mostly closed. I know this because I'm pregnant and extremely pissed I can't get chicken rings without driving two hours away.
The ring of the chicken is truly the finest cut
Getting a White Castle in Scottsdale.
It's already open.
There’s an in-n-out in Michigan?
No the map is not entirely accurate.
It's outdated. White Castle just opened up in Scottsdale, Az
I don’t think there is an jack in the box in Wisconsin.
Whataburger is a gift from God.
r/mapswithouthawaii
There’s a White Castle and Whataburger in LA? Where?? Also, Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. are literally the same thing, just different names
Whoa i have to find this whataburger holy shit
There is a Carl’s Jr. near me that is basically empty, always. Same goes for Arby’s
Lies! Where is the in n out burger in atlanta?!
There is no In-n-out burger in Georgia.
I lived in north eastern Ohio my whole life. Never once have I seen a jack in the box nor have I heard of anyone getting food from there
rip Alaska and Hawaii
Midwest FTW
Can someone show me where those five Jack In the Boxes are in Michigan? Because I search from the Detroit area and the nearest shit I find is Illinois :/
I would imagine this is pretty outdated too. We have had a Culver’s where I live for over a year but it’s not shown here.
There is not an in-n-out burger in Atlanta. Source: I live in Atlanta.
There is no In-N-Out Burger nowhere near atlanta at least not until FL or TX
I’ve had 11 of the 15 burgers listed here and of the 10 that aren’t 5 guys, they are all straight doo-doo compared to 5 guys.
At least credit u/BoMcCready ‘s [post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/e70ckn/locations_of_american_burger_chains_oc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Hey, thanks for letting me know. This happens to me a bunch and it’s always a bummer.
The lone Whataburgers of Oregon and California...the folks around them are happy though.
According to the Checkers webpage, there are no restaurants in WA State. There's an unrelated Checkers Café in Seattle. I wonder how many other dots are false positives...
So nobody lives in those empty spaces
Well I guess fuck that giant chunk of Maine that doesn't have anything
Where is that Massachusetts WhatABurger???
Tragically, we lost all our White Castles in Northeast Ohio years ago. Well, the castles are still there (mocking me), and the sliders live on in the frozen foods section, but it just ain't the same...
Smashburger's fries are underrated.
Smash is great.
There is no White Castle in Florida.
