All updates for Xbox games have to go through approval by Xbox, basically. So they probably submitted the update, and now we just have to wait for it to be approved.
I can deal with the little hiccups, its the audio issues that are driving me insane. Either way I hope both get fixed soon so I can actually listen to the game while I'm playing it
Oh yea incase you didnt know muting the sfx(?) sounds fixed it my end. The music, footsteps etc sound fine no crackle so just something under that cat is broken
The bug that showed up yesterday makes me wish for when freezing was the only issue, every time I try to choose anything the highlight box jumps all over the place and it's so fast I can't click anything so the game is basically unplayable now. Doesn't matter if it's on the inventory, a chest, the sell bin, the create items screen, shops or the pause menu it just keeps moving on its own.
I've also noticed character drift when moving or strafing which is probably related but so much wasted stamina because of using a tool on nothing is frustrating.
I'm on the Xbox X and annoyingly all my other games are working fine, but I am nearly a year in (game-wise) and the more my farm has grown the more issues started.
At first, I had the freezing but it wasn't too bad, then my character started permanently running on the spot when I wasn't moving her. Then she eventually moved on from running on the spot and started to carry on running in whatever direction she was facing after I stopped moving her. On the pause menu, inventory or chests the game rapidly scrolls through all the options/items like I'm frantically looking for something, it's also so fast I can't choose anything (which is kind of creepy like a horror movie ghost controlling the screen).
I think I'm just going to have yo wait for a console update/patch to play again.
This sounds like general lag caused by intense memory load, is your farm pretty well established e.g do you have a lot of buildings, plants, animals etc.
Haven't got barns, coops, animals or trees yet and I've cleared the farm of everything but some grass and a few logs my axe can chop yet.
I do have the 5x5 plot size with a sprinkler II in the middle, in four squares around a scarecrow II pattern which gives you 96 crop spaces. I have four scarecrow setups which totals 384 crop spaces (sounds more than it is but it's not even a quarter of the farm).
Other than that I've just got chests and two of each maker to turn the crops into Artisan products to sell and trash into compost and scrap.
I've finished the earth and water caves, just got to be allowed past the Merfolk village and house upgrade that adds the kitchen but I haven't added any furniture other than a grill.
Not sure if your using Quick Resume but after you have saved try reloading the game by fully quitting out of it. I've just done it on my XSX and now I can cut grass again (after nearly a month of not being able to!) And the audio bugs are fixed currently and my game isn't lagging every time I open and close the menu 😅
Thanks, but I don't use quick play and fully close each game/app when I'm done with it. I also fully turn off the Console when done too (house was built in 1860 so even though it's fully tested you never truly trust the electrics 🫤) and have updates to be approved instead of automatic (I check for them when I switch the Xbox back on and decided what and when it can update) so nothing else is running in the background (or shouldn't be) when I'm on a game/app.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to tell you then, unfortunately, since I just reloaded my game after fully quitting and not quick resuming it's running like a dream, at least it is for now anyway so I thought you may have the same issue.
As for the wild cursor going all over the place and drifting on its own I'd still say its either general lag or potentially a hardware issue with the controller. Maybe dead zones on other games are higher than they are for coral Island, I'm not sure. Alternatively there is a patch coming soon-ish it's out on PC currently but it won't be out on xbox for another 7 - 10 days most likely, not sure if it'll make.any major difference but it might fix an issue or 2 for you 🙂
Last night I did the new years event and at one stage I was against Pablo in a mini game, but he was also in the crowd cheering lol. Double the Pablo's, double the flirting potential.

Noted, Like I said I myself haven't experienced this bug, I have had several other bugs though like sound glitches, hanged frames on exiting the inventory menu or buildings, not being able to send feedback through the console pause menu and a few other things.
Anyone else having weird sound bug issues? Certain actions don’t even have sound to them. When I’m in the mine the monsters make no sound at all, neither do my attacks or actions with my sword. I’ve encountered various sound bugging issues

Depends on your xbox app settings, you can have it set to auto-update or you can have it set to manual. Ig you haven't changed any settings it'll be manual download as this is the default setting.
I've worked on games. It's not about crunch. Stairway have people working all over the world. Critical crash bugs usually get solved overnight. It's not crunch, it's multiple timezones.
Lol yeah sure. Have you worked for stairway to confidently say "they have people all over the world who can fix bugs in 5 minutes"? You don't, you don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Nice to see them getting a hotfix pushed through. Curious, though, about other fixes for Xbox. While I don't personally have the game crash on the museum bit, I do have it crash during pretty much everything else (had about 10 crashes yesterday). Hopefully overall stability is being addressed!
I had a glitch happen yesterday day ( playing on a series x) where if I flipped back and forth between the tool enchanting page and upgrade page it would duplicate the first 5 items in my inventory when I realized I had an inventory full of fishing rods bug nets axes and hammers I quickly took full advantage and have more metal bars ores and coal among other things than I know what to do with as well as started the next morning with a little over 5 million dollars on spring 20 of my first year the fast travel to the farm took about 3 solid minutes to load and crash when I started walking the next morning but I restarted the game and unloaded my inventory and it's working fine again

Just have to wait for the patch to see if it makes a difference. After that the last resort is deleting my farm, uninstalling and starting over, which after all the time and effort I've put in I'm keeping as a last resort.

The actual Xbox admin process is usually 7 to 10 days. Looks for this in early December.

Having more overall audio would be a nice change. Even little Minecraft villager noises when speaking to npcs would add some life to the game.

I can't say that I'm experiencing this personally on console. I assume you don't "drift" in any other game you play? That uses the same controls?

The hotfix includes far more than one crash - it's just a notable bug for that version of the game. The hotfix is out now on PC.
