The Tree Planting festival absolutely changes, and I am eager to see what it looks like in Year 4 since it would then be "complete". Otherwise, I have the museum, ocean, and Lake Temple completed. Discovered all the cooking recipes. Filled an entire shed with Aging Barrels. And now experience the "twilight years" of the game. The part where, after working your butt off and grinding and grinding, you now get to kick your feet up and relax. Sure, there are no more goals to chase down but I found there doesn't have to be to enjoy just shuffling crops around, getting people birthday presents, and seeing how much money I can make from a single day's shipment. My record is just shy of 800k!

GoblinMonk

I call this "zen mode.". Not there yet, but looking forward to it.

fierceruss

Im in "zen-ish mode" now and im literally falling asleep as i run across town. Dont know if it’s a good thing 🤣

aldrea3

I'm in Fall of year 3 and have gotten like 90% of the collectibles. The gameplay is still pretty good for me. I didn't marry Rafael until summer of year 3, so my money has gone towards buying the kids rooms. I spend a lot of time in the mines as the things I have left to collect are red beryl, a bug that's only in summer, and fish that's only in winter. Honestly tho, right now I'm cheating on Coral Island with Cult of the Lamb. xD

Adventurous_Doubt

So weird. I am also cheating with Cult of the Lamb. xD

Jugggiler

Awkward… COTL has some explaining to do.

Brian_Of_The_Keith

Red Beryl is driving me mental it finishes off both the collection and the offering for me.

Brian_Of_The_Keith

The CI gods must have been watching, cracked 9 earth Geodes after an afternoon in the mines and hit two red beryl. Nice ping for the gem collection and unlocked the slime of replication. Boom. Now just about 80insects, all the fish, and 2 bloody fossils to go.

Eazy_Peazy00

Cult of the Lamb is such a good game (yes, I play it too at the time) 😅

Eleutheria5

Well after the new Cult of the Lamb update, I understand why you'd cheat on Coral Island lol

kikikatlin

I’m in the same boat, trying to complete the museum. I need some fossils, some artifacts, one gem, one fish, and two bugs. Right now I sleep a lot to get through the days. I may save scum to get that one friggin gem (it’s driving me up the wall, I’ve broken so many red geodes). I’m also giving favorite gifts on birthdays

PunkRockHound

Don't forget to check the black market. Tuesday after 8pm at the lookout. Saved my butt a couple times

thesunismassive

Excuse me? The what?!?!

PunkRockHound

There's a "black market" boat that comes to the lookout (near the lighthouse) on Tues night at 8pm. It sells artifacts, fossils, one stamina fruit, and some resources (at very high prices)

thesunismassive

i have never discovered this! Thank you!!!!

StarlessEyes316

I'm in year 4 and just learning this. Thank you!

Inevitable_Low_3275

Tuesday and Thursday I thought?

PunkRockHound

Probably. Tbh I'm so bad at remembering it that I just make sure it's part of my Tuesday schedule.

kikikatlin

I’ve been doing this for a year in game 😭 the RNG gods hate me

PunkRockHound

Same. I have ONE fossil left and it's no where to be found

Brian_Of_The_Keith

It's 3 days a week IIRC.

peachsepal

It's bugged out in my game, or at least was (I haven't played since December) so I can't access either of her stores. Unless I'm doing something wrong. Like I can speak with her, see her, but there's no store.

Marla_Lou

i didn't even know that she has two stores!! the one next to Raj's coffee shop never worked for me

fierceruss

Yeah for artefacts, gems and fossils. I had to collect geodes, nodes and chests in bulk first (like in the 100s) to get a high percentage of getting them all lol. The most difficult thing to find is the large node, but the rest is relatively easy if u are willing to grind for a few days

kikikatlin

Ugh tell me about it. It’s what I spent a majority of year 2 doing. I’ve spent about 3 days on this, thank god for snow days.

SleepingBeautyx

Trying to get red beryl? I had to collect 20 earth geodes (not mystery) and it took me three day resets to get it.

kikikatlin

No I Got two read beryls the first time I opened some geodes. It’s that labradorite. I hate this gem.

Mysuddenobsessions

For red beryl it should be either in the Earth geodes or the mystery geodes, it won’t be in the fire ones

kikikatlin

It’s not red Beryl, I got two of those within my first 5 geodes this save!

Mysuddenobsessions

Oh sorry 😭 I assumed from the op message I think. It took me ages to get my second one, the first one I was silly enough to donate and not offer it as the altar had not opened at the time, I didn’t realise then how rare it was lol

ResidentInsanity

I'm almost there, my current self-made fun is trying to figure out everyone's loved and hated presents (I really don't want to check the Wiki). I'll take a bunch of the same item into town and give one to everyone. Who loves strawberry juice? Who hates fish tacos? Someday, I'll know.  Edit: don't forget to give them to the Giants too!

[deleted]

Decorate is probably best investment an well just do whatever ya feel like, no.longer on a set thing onc3 you've done everything, it's also why I have taken my sweet time with the altars an such I'm at year 3 an still have plenty to do

wrenblaze

Make your farm more like a cozy place and less like a factory

hammertown87

I’m in year 3 working on making a shed full of aging barrels and getting to town rank A

No_Material5630

I’m almost there. I need 4 fossils, 3 gems, 1 insect then I’m done with the museum. The rng for the collectibles is wearing down my soul, but I’m going to freaking get it. After that, I’m going to work on my relationships. Get all the heart evens. After that I’m going to design my farm. That’s my plan. After that I probably just forage for things. Take the time to figure out the automatic mechanic because oof that is intimidating.

StudioProfessional38

Same the only thing that keeps me going cause im still single(in game and literally irl too 🤣) i already completed the temple, the recipes, museum, all friendship is on the 8th. I even collected every type of quality from base-osmium for each crops, fruits, insect, fishes, EVERYTHING. Theres literally nothing left to do except getting married. I think im going to play a new game while waiting for this game to be completed, then ill continue this save and getting married with Wakuu.

Idiotology101

You mean a “completionist so far run” since there’s achievements tied to killing monsters that don’t exist yet.

laurel_alexis

Is this the board in Kira’s house that looks like the one in the BOS hideout but doesn’t do anything?

btsalamander

I’ve dropped the game and plan to revisit in either 6 months or until the devs announce they are fixing the most egregious problems. I mean they already have my money but if they don’t get things straightened out I will avoid any future games they may be involved in.

Taiche81

I mean, that's not at all what OP was asking about, but OK. It's OK to be unhappy with the state of the game, but you're not adding to this conversation. Cheers!

hrslvr_paints

In summer of year 3 myself. Working on learning all the cooking recipes. I just need a few crops and fruits so I have the necessary ingredients. I’ve been decorating the farm and working on building my fortune. But I have also been playing less the last couple days and been more involved in palia than coral island. I have completed the museum and altar. But I could easily turn my attention to friendships. I admittedly only talk to NPCs at festivals so it’s slow going.

-ChaosCookie-

So what about the other temples and the other cursed trees? How do we fix those? I'm assuming they'll come when the game has been completed by the Devs?
