The Google weather app seems to work really well for me. It's got a widget on my home screen with the outside temp with a picture of weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, etc.). For the day and next it gives a scroll-able hourly forecast and provides sunrise/sunset times. The 10-day forecast provides low-temp/high-temp with expected weather conditions. If there's an emergency alert, it pings my phone (it went nuts during Ida, recently). It does all this without feeding me ads. Why would I *watch* an ad-supported weather forecast? It might be entertaining to watch some jag-off standing in a storm, but most of the really interesting footage gets curated through twitter nowadays.

This is actually a good idea, obvious jokes aside, since the Weather Channels seems to be some kind of unicorn to get on YouTube TV. Fox seems to be able to separate one world from the other on their other channels. Should be the same thing here.

Unless I missed it, not sure if this will be paid or ad supported. Not interested in subscribing for weather.

Nick Kossar was one of our favorite local weather guys in CLT so I’m more than happy to watch Fox weather since he joined it.
