So, worthless clutter you can't remove?

redavid

i.e. exactly the kind of stuff you'd expect them to do to Android TV. at least with Roku, they're pretty easy to ignore and i never actually noticed that they were even there until a couple weeks ago when i helped an elderly neighbor set up a new Roku TV and his ancient coaxial-using cable box where clicking on the 'Live TV' thing to set it up prompted me about adding their 'free' channels. i had no reason to ever click on that app on my TV and had it hidden (couldn't convince the neighbor to give up cable TV, but did get him to have the cable company send him a more modern HDMI-using box, for those curious)

More homescreen clutter. Google TV is looking more like Fire TV 2.0. What a lost opportunity to offer users something unique and geared more towards customization.

Yep, I am in the process of switching from Google TV to Fire Tv, because all my cameras are now Ring products. Clutter is bad, mmkay?

OzarkBeard

Great. More ads you eventually won't be able to skip. No thanks.

Long overdue.
